Chapter 295: Became one.
"Go on, hug him," Elena said as she pushed Amaryllis toward Mykel.
Amaryllis couldn't resist Elena's power and the life energy that pushed her toward Mykel. She never thought she would be flustered and shy to be too close to Mykel, but the moment she hit her body on Mykel's chest, she was slowly hugging him as she hid her face.
"I'm sorry for what I did. I couldn't do anything but watch you get crushed," Mykel said as he looked down at Amaryllis. "You don't have to force yourself if you don't want to hug me though," he added.
"It's not your fault, it's just that we weren't strong enough to be helpful to you. If only we were stronger, you didn't have to risk your life and become like this," Amaryllis shook her head and didn't want to let go.
"No, it's actually a good thing that I did this because I found out the truth," Mykel responded as he stroked Amaryllis' head.
Amaryllis was confused as she tilted her head and looked at Mykel.
Mykel was confused as well when Amaryllis was fine in front of his presence and the fact that she could look him in the eye. He then looked at Elena and she only nodded her head, telling him that she made Amaryllis strong enough to be fine with his presence. He didn't know if he should be proud or terrified by Elena's power that could make things so easy for her.
"We will tell you everything, so listen carefully," Elena said as she looked at Amaryllis.
After Amaryllis knew everything, she was thinking about what kind of entity was capable of controlling fate and the flow of time. They all agreed that whoever controlled fate and the flow of time, that entity could be the one and only omnipotent being.
"What do you think? Is she really sleeping or is she dying?" Elena asked Amaryllis after Amaryllis checked on Sasha's condition.
"She's fine, she's just exhausted and there's nothing we can do about it but let her rest," Amaryllis answered as she sat on the armrest and looked at Sasha's peaceful expression. "Her condition is stable, so she should be awake soon," she pointed out as she looked at Mykel.
They all decided to chill at the throne, and there wasn't much they could do except for Amaryllis. She was busy checking each crystalline and looking at the souls that were trapped inside. She was thinking if she could do something about those souls, and what would be the best thing to do.
"Do you think we should set them free? I'm talking about Jeanne and the others," Elena asked as she approached Amaryllis and looked at the crystalline with the silhouettes of the souls inside.
"There's no reason not to, right?" Amaryllis asked back and looked at Elena with her eyebrows raised.
"I don't know," Elena answered as she shook her head and kept staring at the crystalline. "Mykel didn't say anything about bringing them back, right? I think we have to ask him first what should we do about these souls," she explained.
Amaryllis nodded and then continued checking the crystalline around her with Elena.
Sasha groaned as she slowly moved her head because she was having the same nightmare when she was tortured in hell. She couldn't wake up, but suddenly a warm hand touched her face, making her escape the nightmare.
"Were you having a nightmare?" Mykel asked.
Sasha opened her eyes and remembered that she was no longer living in hell and that it was in the past. She looked at Mykel and she was happy to see him just like he promised, and then she felt at ease when she held his hand that was caressing her cheek.
"How can you be acting so lovey-dovey? Did you have fun with him while I'm gone?" Elena asked as she peeked her head from behind the throne.
"Hmm, it does smell fishy here. Perhaps she fell to Mykel's words and knew she could have him for herself," Amaryllis added as she peeked from the other side of the throne.
Sasha was surprised as she let go of her hands from Mykel's hand and then stood up to look at those two. She was so happy to see Elena again, but she felt guilty because of what she did behind Elena's back.
"It's alright. Everyone knows that nobody can have him for themselves, so everyone is sharing him. I'm also waiting for my turn since he promised me that," Elena said the moment she saw Sasha's guilty expression.
Sasha had no idea what Elena meant by that, but deep down she knew what Elena was talking about. She then cleared her throat and looked at the figures that had been waiting for her to wake up to avoid the awkwardness.
"They're all waiting for me?" Sasha asked Mykel.
"Yes, but I'm the one who told them to wait here. They listened to my order," Mykel nodded his head and looked at millions of them below the throne. "Do you know what to do now?" he asked.
"Yes, I know," Sasha nodded her head and then walked down the stairs.
Mykel, Elena, and Amaryllis watched as Sasha spoke to the figures like she was their mother. It was surreal that those figures, that one of them was enough to make all realities extinct to be listening to her. At first, they both had no idea what she was trying to do until she told them to give up themselves and become one with Mykel.
At first, all the figures were staring at Mykel and none of them made a move. Elena, Amaryllis, and Sasha were ready to fight the figures if they decided to disobey Sasha's order. But suddenly, all of them turned into an abyss and surrounded the throne, circling it above the throne.
"Move aside," Mykel said to Elena and Amaryllis.
They both walked down the stairs and stood right next to Sasha when the abyss started to descend.
The abyss moved toward Mykel so aggressively and entered his soul that his soul no longer could be seen because of the abyss. Elena, Sasha, and Amaryllis were nervous because they were afraid that Mykel's soul would get corrupted. They were all hoping that nothing would happen to him, and the moment the abyss disappeared, Mykel was standing still with his hands trembling.
"Mykel?" Elena asked quietly as she was slowly walking up the stairs.
Mykel slowly raised his hand and signaled them to not approach him first. The fact that he was still in control, it was already a good sign, and so they all backed away from him and carefully watched him.
Mykel felt sick and he felt feverish as his head felt like spinning and his vision became blurry. He slowly walked to the throne so he could sit down and try to deal with the fever. He became so sensitive to the darkness within his soul and his body and how the darkness in his body started to form as he became the one who was in control.
The three of them looked at the abyss above them slowly moving away, letting the light lighten up the platform. They all looked at the beam of light pointing at Mykel who was sitting on the throne as if he was being blessed by something. The place that was so eerie and depressing had been turned upside down and the dark floor became white with purple light sipping out of it.
Mykel leaned his head as he exhaled deeply because it was quite uncomfortable to take over the power of the abyss.
"There's a slight problem," Mykel said with his eyes closed. "The hunger is quite bothersome and I can't get rid of it," he continued as his limbs started to move on their own and the abyss inside his body started to sip out of his shoulders and head.
Elena didn't hesitate to approach Mykel and hold his hands, but when she wanted to transfer her life energy, the abyss was rejecting it. She was pushed away by the abyss and it hurt that her hands couldn't stop trembling from the stinging pain.
Amaryllis who had no soul and Sasha who was the only one who could do it, Mykel didn't want to take it from Sasha. She was thinking about how to satiate the hunger until she glanced at the crystalline.
"Mykel," Amaryllis kept staring at the crystalline. "You can eat them," she continued and pointed at the crystalline.
Mykel glanced at the crystalline and he didn't hesitate to send the abyss to devour all of the crystalline that existed. It only took him a few seconds to devour all of them, and the souls that were trapped inside had been completely devoured and couldn't be resurrected anymore.
"Did it help?" Amaryllis asked.
"It helps a lot. I no longer feel hungry," Mykel answered with a weak smile.
