Chapter 17 - She's more like a girlfriend than a little sister
It may sound like an exaggeration to call it a shopping street, but there were post offices, bakeries, flower shops, and private clinics near the supermarket that sells daily groceries. The residents of this neighbourhood have been going to this area on a daily basis, and Shota and the others have been frequenting it since they were young.
Naturally, Mio, who has been in charge of household chores since junior high school, is in a sense a bit of a celebrity around here. Both customers and clerks often recognise her and know her to some extent.
If Mio suddenly goes out all dressed up, she will inevitably attract the interest of entertainment-hungry people.
Every time she met an acquaintance, they start pestering her with questions.
“What’s up? Did you meet someone nice?”
“You look adorable! Who’s the lucky guy who brought about this change?”
With that in mind, she expanded more energy than usual on the outing. Shortly after returning to the house, Mio put down her shopping bags and threw herself onto the sofa.
“I’m so tired!”
Mio’s carefree demeanour at the Katsuragi family was the same as always. And that’s fine.
However, today Mio is wearing a miniskirt that she didn’t usually wear. Naturally, it fluttered and curled up, and just as the light blue fabric at the base of her legs began to show – my vision went completely dark.
“W-what are you doing!?”
“Brother, no.”
Erika’s words and sighs poured into my ear. I was in turmoil as two bulges pressed against my back.
Erika on the other hand, spoke to Mio in a slightly reproachful tone.
“Mii-chan, I can see it.”
“Oh, you’re right!”
After the rustle of clothes stopped, my vision was returned to me.
As I was feeling a minor sense of loneliness with the disappearance of body heat from my back, Erika glared at Mio.
“Mii-chan should be more aware. Brother is here after all.”
“Well, I thought it’d be okay if it’s Sho-chan.”
“That’s no good.”
“Eh, we’re already way past that aren’t we Sho-chan??”
“… Don’t bring me into this.”
Erika, who refused to back down continued staring Mio down.
She eventually let out a groan and raised her hands lightly in resignation.
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll be careful when wearing a skirt from now on.”
“…………Mm.”
Erika nodded her head indignantly, as if she wasn’t convinced yet.
Mio, who let out a sigh, stared at Erika and said what had been on her mind without a second thought.
“Somehow, Eri-chan is more like a girlfriend than a younger sister.”
“Uh”
“Hmm”
Her words chilled my heart a little while Erika raised her eyebrows in a troubled manner.
Not noticing this, Mio stretched out on the sofa and looked at the sky through the window and murmured worriedly.
“Mmm, the weather looks a little weird. I thought it would be sunny today.”
“Then shall I take off your clothes?”
“Ah, please… eh you sounding kinda pervy.”
“I meant from the clothes rack!”
“Ahaha, I’m kidding. Help me remove my sheets and clothes, please.”
“Hmm, mine too.”
