There is something wrong with Hikigaya’s classroom of the Elite, as expected

Chapter 141

Chapter 141: No Action, No Consequences

“Haha, you D-class students are finished!”

Ishizaki finally realized what had happened. The surveillance cameras in the hallway were all fake! They had been installed by the D-class students on purpose to trick him into falling for their trap!

It made sense now—Ryuen had chosen the special teaching building because there were no real surveillance cameras here!

At the same time, from the serious expression and words of Yukinoshita, Ishizaki could tell that “installing surveillance cameras without permission” was a very serious matter!

The situation had reversed so suddenly!

These D-class students were doomed!

And…

“Not just you! Ichinose, you’re an accomplice too! You can’t escape responsibility!” Ishizaki shouted as he pointed at the pink-haired girl.

Ishizaki’s words caused Ichinose’s face to stiffen. She wanted to explain, but she realized that it was futile. There was evidence, witnesses, and they had been caught red-handed!

Ichinose couldn’t help but recall a painful memory buried deep within her, one she never wanted to revisit.

And the thought of the school punishment she might face, the loss of class points because of her actions, and the possible consequences for her classmates made Ichinose feel a deep sense of guilt!

She also thought back to the advice the boy had given her yesterday evening. If she had listened to him, maybe she wouldn’t have gotten herself into this dangerous situation and dragged her class into this mess.

Ishizaki felt immensely satisfied. Just moments ago, he had been anxious, forced to consider the possibility of being expelled, but now the tables had turned. He was about to see them, the D-class students, possibly expelled instead. The emotional shift was exhilarating.

“Well, Yukinoshita-san, could there be some misunderstanding about this? Is there… another way to resolve this?”

Kushida suddenly spoke up, catching the attention of Horikita, Ichinose, and the others.

Yes, there was still room to turn this around. Just like the previous fight incident with Sudo, the school had given a week’s time for the matter to be resolved privately between the two classes, right?

So, as long as C-class didn’t press charges, the issue of installing the surveillance cameras might not escalate to a serious school matter.

Of course, this was not entirely up to C-class; more importantly, it depended on Yukinoshita, the student council member’s attitude!

Her stance would determine the fate of Classes B, C, and D!

Ishizaki was taken aback. He finally remembered that Yukinoshita had been involved in the earlier fight incident. This meant she was on D-class’s side from the start!

More importantly… Yukinoshita had a personal vendetta against C-class!

It was this very woman who had made C-class’s “tyrant,” Ryuen, kneel during the night before the midterms!

Ishizaki regretted everything now. Ryuen, why did you provoke the student council in the first place?

It didn’t help that Yukinoshita and the despicable liar, Hikigaya, were both part of the student council. Ishizaki felt a cold wave of realization wash over him.

He had often seen the term “political corruption” on the news, but he never really understood it until now…

Damn it… so this is how it works!

“You, you Yukinoshita, you can’t be biased and unfair!” Ishizaki yelled.

“Oh?” Yukinoshita turned to look at Ishizaki, smiling lightly. “And how exactly do you think I’m being biased and unfair?”

“…”

Ishizaki was speechless, realizing he had probably been too hasty and anxious.

Yukinoshita chuckled and then turned to Horikita and Ichinose, saying, “I happened to see Kushida downstairs, so I was just checking on the situation of the conflict. I didn’t expect to walk right into this. You guys… really are a handful.”

Ichinose couldn’t help but lower her head in shame and regret, while Horikita was also deeply dissatisfied.

“If this were just a student argument, a fight, or a small dispute, as long as both parties settle it privately and come to a compromise, I would handle it with the principle of ‘less trouble is better than more.’ After all, if the people don’t raise the issue, the authorities won’t intervene. These things are understood by everyone. But what we have here is not something that can be easily resolved privately. As a member of the student council, I can’t pretend I don’t know about this. I hope you understand my position.”

Yukinoshita first expressed her position, effectively setting the tone for this incident—there was no way it could be dismissed as if nothing had happened. Someone had to take responsibility for this matter!

Even if D-Class and C-Class were to settle privately and C-Class didn’t report it, the act of installing surveillance cameras without permission would still be held accountable by the school and the student council.

Upon hearing this, Horikita and Ishizaki immediately felt a chill run down their spines—this meant that trying to peacefully resolve the matter was no longer possible!

“Hahaha, Horikita, Ishizaki, you two are finished! You were so eager to scare me earlier, and now look at you, regretting it!” Ishizaki was absolutely thrilled!

Because of Hikigaya’s involvement and Ryuen’s orders, Ishizaki had originally thought the fight incident was over, but he never expected D-Class to be so stupid, handing their “weakness” to him on a silver platter. Now, because of this, they might even face expulsion?!

And to his surprise, they had even dragged B-Class’s Ichinose into this—this was an even bigger fish than D-Class!

Not only had D-Class been heavily wounded, but now B-Class had also been dragged down with them!

At this point, Ishizaki suddenly remembered a saying: “No action, no consequences!”

If you don’t stir things up, nothing bad will happen!

D-Class and B-Class could’ve easily walked away unscathed, yet they chose to dig their own graves!

Laughing to himself, Ishizaki was relieved he hadn’t fallen for the trap. If he had, he would’ve really looked like a fool!

“About this matter, I have a few questions. Ichinose, this is supposed to be a conflict between D-Class and C-Class. Could you explain why you’re here?” Yukinoshita asked in a businesslike tone.

“I… I’m here to help Ayanokouji, Horikita…” Ichinose stammered, her mind in a bit of a mess, answering without thinking.

However, before Ishizaki could finish his sentence, Yukinoshita suddenly interrupted: “So, you were asked by D-Class to come here, is that right?”

“Ah?” Ichinose looked up at Yukinoshita, a little confused, about to explain, “No, I came here on my own…”

But before he could finish, Yukinoshita cut him off again: “So, at first, you, Ichinose, thought the cameras here were real, and they had recorded the entire conflict, which is why you chose to assist D-Class.

But in reality, you were unaware that these cameras were ‘fake,’ right? So, you were completely deceived into believing something that wasn’t true. Am I understanding this correctly?”

Ichinose stood frozen, unsure of how to respond. The others in the room were mostly just as stunned. Ishizaki’s mouth hung open, while Yukinoshita maintained a calm smile on her face.
