A Deal With The Devil: Being His Bride

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

There was anger, annoyance, and what else... Was that hatred?

All those dark emotions that were felt by Alpha Davin could be felt by Lisa; that was one of her special abilities.

She already felt that he hated her, so that's why when the courtwoman summoned her to the throne room, she already knew what it was.

And just as she had expected, Alpha Davin said, "Lisa, you will have to leave as I found my mate after years of searching."

Her gaze moved to the left as she spotted a blonde lady who sat on the seat meant for the Luna, where she always sat.

"Are you just going to throw me out after five years of being your substitute mate?" She asked. He couldn't marry any other lady in the pack because they all had their respective mates.

But she was a wolfless wolf, so how was she going to find her mate? So he had approached her with a proposition; he wanted her to tell everyone that he was his mate, as it would be a shame if everyone knew that the moon goddess didn't give the alpha a mate.

She agreed at once because she had always had feelings for him. After three years of marriage, when he still couldn't find his mate, he confessed his love to her, and they have been living as the best couple... but now he didn't even blink before chasing her out.

"Don't make a mountain out of a hill, Lisa. I did you a favor by making you Luna for five years. You should be grateful and just leave; vacate the bedroom for my mate," he scolded. His alpha presence filled the hall as everyone present shivered in fear.

"So what will you tell your subjects? That I wasn't your mate, and you just lied so you could get the throne?"

He shook his head in denial. "I will simply tell them that my wolf Remon lost the mating feeling with you; you were rejected by the moon goddess, and Sia was chosen to be my new mate."

"Hey… I didn't say that." Remon scolded him, but he didn't pay attention; he just wanted Lisa out of his sight.

"I will be rejected by everyone in the pack if you say that," she fell on her knees. Everyone already doubted the fact that she had witch blood in her, and that's why she had those special abilities, like being able to detect anyone's hiding emotions and also her ability to converse with animals.

Now she was going to be considered a curse and thrown out of the pack; what she hated was becoming a rogue.

"Save your pride and leave Lisa," Sia, Alpha Davin's new bride, scolded.

Lisa could feel jealousy; his new mate was very jealous of her. This made Lisa stand up as she walked closer to Alpha Davin.

"You said you loved me and that, since we were the only two mate-less wolves in the pack, then it means we were meant to be together. You gave me hope." countless tears rolled down her cheeks, she clutched her chest tightly.

"Did you think I would stay with someone like you for the rest of my life? You have a useless bloodline, Lisa. I can't have my kids have that," he snorted. She couldn't even wolf out, and she expected him to have kids with her. What if her bloodline was stronger and all his kids couldn't wolf as well?

"Davin please…"

He used his leg to push her far from him. "Get out!!!"

Lisa felt like a mockery as the guards and maids watched her; she took off the necklace around her neck and placed it on the ground.

It was the necklace that was worn by the Luna of the pack; it was the only gift he ever gave her.

"You will regret treating me this way," she promised, though she was hurt. She knew her value; he hurt her, and the only way she could move on was by making him regret his actions.

"I changed my mine; don't only throw her out of the palace... Throw her out of the pack. Lisa Moonstar is not allowed to ever set foot in the Winterwater pack," Alpha Davin announced to his guards, who hurried and dragged Lisa out of the pack just per the Alpha's order.

She was thrown at the boundary of the pack; she had nowhere else to go as her home was in the pack.

"You did this to me, Davin?" She couldn't believe this; just two days after he found his mate, he threw her out in such a manner.

She was going to make him regret it. "You will come back for me; I promise you that," she swore.

"Lisa, some rogue wolves are approaching... You need to run." An eagle that landed on the tree warned her; she knew how dangerous the rogue wolves were. They were either going to kill her or turn her into their slave.

"Thanks," she thanked the Eagle and started running in the opposite direction; she just had to escape from them even though she had no idea where she was going.

"Lisa, run; they are closing by," the eagle kept saying as it followed her.

"This is the fastest I could run, Jim; can't you help me stop them? Like, get your convocation to ambush them." She scolded, Why were the rogues even after her?

She didn't do anything to offend them.

"Oh Lisa, I wish I could help you. But even the animals of the pack don't want to be linked with you," Jim explained, and Lisa stopped running. What did he mean that the animals didn't want to be linked with her?

She was always there for them, and now that she was sent out, they decided to cut her off as well.

"Keep running, Lisa."

Lisa continued to run; she was running out of breath but couldn't stop. Then Jim landed on a three and screamed, "Stop Lisa, there are some demons ahead." Jim warned, and Lisa's eyes widened in shock.

She couldn't go back as the rogues would get her, but she also couldn't go further as the demons were ahead; was this her fate?
