A Mighty Warrior: The Misadventures of a Reborn Gohan

Chapter 6: Family Journey

The day began like any other, Gohan naturally woke up before dawn, the old man observed his grandson who slept next to him, the same young man who was still sleeping soundly, Gohan sighed, his mind entertained him with the thought of if he earned 1 zeni, the currency of the world of Dragon Ball, for every sigh he took in the last few months he would already have enough to open a small fruit market in the western city that could sustain the appetite of a small family of Saiyans.

"Kakarotto, it's time to wake up!" Gohan said gently to try to wake up the young Saiyan who made a grunt showing his desire to continue sleeping.

Kakarotto proved too resistant to the idea of waking up early that morning, as well as waking up early in general, which left the old man with plenty of time to train generally, but not on this day, Gohan could maintain his efforts to wake the child up gently, but apparently he would have to resort to devious tactics, the old man went towards where he kept the smoked supplies, picked up a small piece of meat and began to burn it at a distance of five feet from Kakarotto, he he fanned the smoke towards Kakarotto who, upon smelling the odor of the meat, woke up quickly jumping towards the smell, in a movement that showed his experience and reflexes, Gohan removed himself along with the burnt meat from the path of the little Saiyan, who in turn fell face down on the ground.

Gohan laughed loudly much to the displeasure of the Saiyan who now looked at him with a resentful look.

"That was low grandpa." Young Kakarotto grumbled. "The sun hasn't even risen yet!"

"I told you yesterday that we will wake up early today!" Gohan countered the young man's grumble with a calm but still firm tone.

This caused Kakarotto to freeze in place, he had apparently completely forgotten about what was supposed to happen today, seeing his grandson's look of accomplishment, Gohan again that morning let out a sigh and sent his grandson to go wash his face and prepare his things for the trip.

Things like clothes were made by old Gohan, by the way, he had a lot of practice in sewing as he lived away from society, he made almost all the clothes they had in their closet, with the exception of those that Gohan received as a gift from his master Roshi or Gyumao when he was younger. Gohan and Gyumao trained together under the tutelage of Master Roshi, Gyumao, despite being much younger than him, followed the exhaustive training of the "God" of martial arts.

Gohan stood there reminiscing about the past of this life while his grandson got ready, so many things that were left out of the original Dragon Ball work, like why Gyumao wasn't an 80 year old man, even though it wasn't something he stopped to think about when he saw the work in his other life, it was strange that Gyumao was an adult in his 40s to 50s with a daughter and he, Gohan, was an 89 year old man, Son Gohan walked a path in the martial arts long before meeting Muten Roshi, he only met the great Turtle Sage at the age of 49, almost 50 years old when Gyumao was 10, they met on the small island where the old master lives to this day, at that time Gohan was a man already hardened by several fights against dojos and was somewhat arrogant for thinking he could fight with the legendary master Roshi, how foolish he was, he was beaten so much that day...

The old man had to be brought out of his thoughts by a young Saiyan running out of the hut with a messenger bag that Gohan had made from the skin of a sheep he hunted 3 months ago, the child glowed with excitement running to stand next to the old man, it was clear to Gohan that Kakarotto was looking forward to the trip.

Getting up, Gohan and Kakarotto now together began to walk, going down the mountain where their cabin was located, they passed several animals such as monkeys that jumped from tree to tree that the young Saiyan greeted, even some tigers that were seen from afar, Kakarotto was very familiar with all the animals on the mountain, since often, after martial arts training, he would take a quick escape to play with the monkeys.

"Grandpa, what's the ocean like?" Kakarotto asked out of nowhere.

"It's like a lake, just like the one we have here on Mount Paozu, but much bigger, with super salty water and lots of fish" Said Gohan.

"Bigger than a lake?!" The young Saiyan was impressed that the sea was bigger than the lakes that were close to his home. "Let's go quick grandpa, I want to see the sea, the fish there must be tastier!!" Kakarotto hurried, obviously wanting to fish on the beach.

Kakarotto's comment brought a slight laugh from old Gohan, and so the journey to the foot of the mountain continued, the walk lasted a few hours until they reached the plains, Gohan looked at the young Saiyan to check for any signs of tiredness, he found the child without even showing a change in breathing, having confirmed that his grandson was still able to continue the journey, the old human and his adopted grandson were now heading southeast, towards the sea.

This part of the journey proved to be longer, they spent hours walking with some quick stops to rest, eat and drink water, the moment came when the sun gave way to the cold night, Gohan asked his grandson for help in setting up camp.

With the tent erected, Son Gohan set out to look for wood for a fire as well as hunt for something for dinner, he asked the young Saiyan to protect the place while he was gone.

'I feel some energy sources nearby, they're not strong, so they're not humans, probably some animal walking through the forest.' Thought Gohan as he walked through the forest picking up sticks to light the fire.

'I can come by and see this after lighting the fire.' The old man concluded in his thoughts.

After a few minutes, Gohan picked up enough branches to light the fire, during this time he did not stop monitoring the signs of ki that were nearby, upon arriving at the camp he found Kakarotto looking around the area where they set up the tent, he asked the young man to get some dry leaves from the trees to smother the embers and start the fire, while the young Saiyan gathered a pile of leaves, Gohan began to create friction between a wooden stump that he split in half and a a rather thick branch to generate enough heat to start lighting the fire, thanks to his superhuman physique it didn't take long for the spark to start and light the fire completely.

Having the fire to keep the animals away as well as keep them warm, Gohan now sets off again entering the forest in search of a wild animal to serve as dinner, it doesn't take long for him to find a deer nearby, Gohan then bends down and picks up a rock, this would be enough to slaughter the animal quickly and painlessly, using a ki blast would be an exaggeration as well as a waste of energy, gathering his ki he reinforces the small object that now had a light white aura glowing around it, in one movement The old man quickly throws the ki-enhanced stone towards the deer's head, the small object flew much faster than any high-caliber bullet, Gohan checked the deer's ki signature to confirm if the animal was still alive, having felt no sign of the energy, the old man then said a quick prayer apologizing to the innocent animal and then picked up the game on his shoulders and took it to the camp so he could carry out the process of bleeding the corpse.

At camp Gohan was surrounded by a Kakarot curious about the deer, he had already seen his grandfather carrying out this process several times, cutting off the animal's head and hanging it so that the blood could come out, however, this occasion was different, the knife that old Gohan used had its handle broken the day before when Gohan tried teaching Kakarotto how to handle meat, the young man put so much force into the handle of the knife that it ended up breaking, Kakarotto apologized for the knife and was currently curious to see how his grandfather would do the job now that he didn't have his own tool for the situation.

"Grandpa, are you going to take his head off with your hands?" He asked the child, seeing the old man place his hands on the dead animal's head.

'If someone heard that without having a context, they would probably call me "perverse" or "villain" for teaching things like that to a child…' Old Gohan thought.

A Saiyan child was extremely different from a human child, they were less likely to be afraid of hurting something they had empathy for, Saiyans are a species made for battle, so this is just another item on the list of racial differences between species.

"I'm going to wear something different today, watch carefully Kakarotto!" Gohan said, raising one of his hands until it was slightly below chin height.

The old human's hand then began to glow and an aura of which formed around him, Kakarotto watched it fascinated, it was the first time his grandfather had shown something like this, he had seen it fly before when he observed Gohan's meditation training, the aura in his grandfather's hand now showed changes, it began to thin and take a clearer shape, this continued until a perfect ki blade formed in front of Kakarotto's eyes.

"What do you think, cool right!?" Gohan said with a smile, clearly happy to show off in front of his grandson.

"Grandpa, can I make a light knife like yours?" Kakarotto asked, coming out of his stupor.

"Of course, if you meditate properly enough, I can teach you!" Said old Gohan.

Young Kakarotto seemed to deflate after hearing his grandfather's words.

"But meditating is boring!!" The young Saiyan whimpered.

Gohan seeing this could only laugh at his grandson's behavior, his grandson could perform techniques like the Kamehameha without any problem as it involved compressing all of the body's energy into a single point and then releasing it in a beam of energy, the ki blade was a constant flow with a thin and delicate shape, it required precise control, something that was developed with training and even a Saiyan would take some time, at least 2 years, to reach this point in energy manipulation.

Gohan continued to work on the meat for dinner, after bleeding the deer he removed part of the organs, removed the hide for use later, and finally with the meat cleaned, he was able to cook something quick for dinner, using local herbs that he identified while walking through the forest as seasoning for the meat.

Dinner then went off without a hitch, it was a calm meal, that is if you discount Kakarotto's voracity when eating as if the food was going to suddenly disappear.

After dinner, Gohan and Kakarotto went to the tent in which they would sleep, the young Saiyan proved himself a skilled practitioner of the art of sleeping, showing that he could finally fall asleep at record speed, Gohan didn't take long to follow the child's example.

That night Gohan had dreams about his youth as Son Gohan, remembering how he traveled the world challenging various dojos to become a great martial artist, his dream was short-lived however, he quickly woke up to a kick from Kakarot who moved in his sleep, how can a child move so abruptly while sleeping?

Regardless, Gohan noticed that the sun was showing signs of starting to rise, he got up, used water from a canteen to brush his teeth and wash his face, after this routine activity, Gohan went out to do his exercises, despite being traveling he could still train his flying techniques anywhere, and so time passed, Gohan realized that his ki manipulation was smoother when compared to 3 months ago, Kakarotto eventually woke up so that they could both have breakfast, with that they both returned to their trip to the beach, after 2 hours of light running to serve as impromptu resistance training for his grandson and grandfather, Gohan could smell the sea confirming that he was close to his goal.

"Kakarotto, we are close to the ocean!" Gohan said. "Remember this smell well, this salty odor is something characteristic of the sea!" The old man continued.

Kakarotto, having heard that they were close to their destination, perked up, he was ready to run and get there faster to see what the sea was like.

"Come on grandpa, we have to go faster!" Kakarotto said, showing his enthusiasm.

The young Saiyan ran towards the sea leaving the old Gohan behind, Gohan seeing his grandson's excitement could only laugh at that jovial spirit, it didn't take long for Gohan to start running and quickly catch up with Kakarotto, as someone who surpassed the limits of a normal human, reaching the young Saiyan was a simple task, the two ran until they finally reached the beach, Kakarotto was impressed by the amount of water that seemed to have no end.

"How much water… How am I supposed to fish if there's so much water?" The young Saiyan murmured.

"With a fishing rod! Isn't it obvious?" Gohan said.

Gohan's statement made young Kakarotto's face wrinkle, his expression similar to that of a person who had sucked on an extremely sour lemon, old Gohan openly laughed at his grandson's grimaces, it was obvious that he did not find fishing with a fishing rod extremely boring.

"Stop laughing!! Fishing rods are useless, diving in is way faster!" Kakarotto stated, clearly irritated by his grandfather's laughter.

His irritation only served to amuse the old Gohan even more, the old man's laughter only increased to the young Saiyan's disgust, after a full minute, Gohan stopped laughing and looked at an irritated Kakarot, determined to appease his grandson's childish fury, Gohan decides to tell him why they were going to the beach.

"Do you want to know why we travel to the beach?" Gohan threw the information to the wind to get young Kakarotto's attention.

Kakarotto quickly forgot about his irritation, his attention completely directed to the new information his grandfather threw onto the table.

"Is there anything important here? But there's only this yellow earth and a lot of water!" Kakarotto said, confused as to why he and his grandfather were going to the beach.

Gohan smiled at his grandson's doubt.

"There's nothing important here on this beach, that's for sure" Gohan said, agreeing with what his grandson said.

"So…" Kakarotto started to speak, but was interrupted at the beginning of his sentence.

"In the middle of the sea, on a small island, lives the man who trained me in martial arts!" Gohan said.

"How did you train with him if he lives in the middle of the sea?" Kakarotto asked, clearly confused, he obviously didn't think that his grandfather simply traveled to the island by boat.

"When he was living elsewhere, I found him and challenged him to a duel, I lost badly so I asked him to train me." Gohan said. "We came here today to visit you!" Gohan stated.

Kakarot who now knew he was going to visit the person who trained his grandfather, was bubbling with excitement, this person was supposed to be stronger than Gohan, he was now excited to fight him, but then he realized, how was he going to get to the island? Unlike his grandfather, he didn't know how to fly. Seeing his grandson thoughtful, Gohan was happy that Kakarotto was thinking much more compared to before, before he thought he could solve things by beating on what was going wrong, at least now he reflected on how he could solve something before getting into a fight.

"Let's fly to my master's house, I'll carry you there, since you don't know how to fly" Said Gohan.

Having said that, Gohan didn't wait for Kakarotto to say anything, he picked up the child and placed him on his shoulders, and then his ki exploded out of his body forming an aura that enveloped him, Gohan shot into the sky going forward at the speed of an airplane, the wind didn't bother him at all, his ki aura formed an adequate protection against the wind, Kakarotto looked amazed at the vast ocean and the clouds that were quickly passing by from his perspective, he was more impressed with the technique. flying that he always saw his grandfather practice, in his heart he decided to dedicate himself more to meditation if it would lead him to be able to fly freely through the skies like the birds that appeared on Mount Paozu.

It didn't take long to see a wooden house with pink planks on the walls on the horizon, the trip was extremely quick, taking around 10 minutes, a huge contrast to the journey on land that grandfather and grandson took to reach the beach, Gohan had already seen Master Roshi's house in the memories of this life when he was training with Gyumao, but his memories as a long-time fan made the sight of the residence somewhat magical, his heart throbbed with excitement at the iconic Master Roshi's house that was now so close from him.

Now the grandfather and grandson duo were slowly landing on the beach, when they stepped into the house the door opened at the same moment, revealing an old man with a long beard and sunglasses, a bright orange sphere on his neck, Hawaiian shirt, shorts and flip-flops, the old man also wore a turtle shell on his back while holding a wooden staff, behind him was a turtle, this was Muten Roshi, the man who was called the "god" of martial arts by the fighting community.

Gohan's gaze stopped at the dragon ball hanging around Roshi's neck for a few seconds, knowing that his master had one of the spheres was a relief, he would find a moment to ask for the object to be given to him, however, there were things he should do first.

"Hello master!" Gohan said, bowing slightly with his hands together in a long gesture.

"Gohan! How long ago!" Roshi said happily.

Kakarotto observed the new old man who appeared, this man had more beard and was thinner than his grandfather, was this the person who taught his grandfather how to fight? He didn't seem so incredible, it was what was going through the little Saiyan's head, he hesitated for a few seconds before deciding his course of action.

"Grandpa, is this really the man who trained you?" Kakarotto asked, choosing to confirm if Roshi really was his grandfather's master.

(Roshi P.O.V)

This morning was like any other morning in my daily life, I woke up, did my business and then went to watch the yoga class program, seeing the young bodies of the women who taught the class in those tight clothes was a joy for his old eyes, when he was younger, 300 years ago, women dressed very modestly, modern days were a truly wonderful period.

Imagine my surprise when I felt Gohan's ki alongside a minor ki coming at great speed towards my house, that was a big surprise, Gohan must have bought a spaceship from Capsule Corp to come so quickly. When I opened the door I found Gohan standing on the beach next to a child with a monkey's tail, this was the first time he had seen a child with a monkey's tail in his entire life, he must be a new variation that emerged from the beastmen who lived in big cities, and there was no ship or boat as a means of transport to respond to the great speed at which they arrived here.

Gohan, as always, greeted me politely, I could ask him later how he arrived so quickly, if he had a plane or ship, we could then arrange a day to go to the city together to see some young women, but, I was taken out of my fantasies when the child asked my best student a question.

Does he think I didn't train Gohan? I know I may not be at my peak anymore, but I'm still a great martial arts master! Also, when did Gohan have a grandson? He didn't even have children!

"Yes, I was the one who trained your grandfather…" I said briefly, not wanting to exalt myself.

"I don't believe!" The child responded with a firm tone.

'Why, you little brat…' I thought.

I looked at Gohan briefly, he seemed surprised by his own grandson's words, he was going to say something, but his grandson beat him in speed with words,

"If you trained grandpa then fight me!!" Said the young man confidently. "If I defeat you then you are an impostor!" The child stated.

I stopped for a few seconds, it was the first time that a child underestimated me so much, and on top of that, he challenged me with so much confidence, he reminded me of Gohan when he came to challenge me a long time ago, the difference is that the child says it out loud while Gohan wanted to prove himself superior at that time. Faced with such boldness, I couldn't resist.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" I laughed openly.

I continued laughing for a long time. Gohan always brought me things that took me out of my monotonous routine. When I stopped laughing, I wiped away a tear that appeared in the middle of my fun, the child looked at me with a frown. clearly annoyed, while Gohan was sighing, whether it was from my loud laughter or his own grandson's behavior I couldn't say, but as a martial artist I must respond to such a direct challenge.

"Your grandson really is a figure Gohan!" I said to my student, before turning to the child. "I accept your challenge young man!"

Gohan smiled slightly, and at that moment he decided to speak out.

"He accepted your challenge Kakarotto, show courtesy!" Gohan said with a firm tone.

'Kakarotto, what a strange name…' I thought.

Young Kakarotto looked at his grandfather in surprise. He was going to bow to greet me at the beginning of our fight, but I decided to interrupt him. Fighting at the door of my house is not something I would like to do.

"Let's take a stand and treat this like an official match!" I said as I walked to the beach.

I handed my staff to Gohan but kept my turtle shell. I saw no reason to take it away when I was going to fight a child.

"You will serve as judge." I said to my old student, who nodded in agreement.

"Okay, Kakarotto, you will face Master Roshi, both of you will do the Kin Lai to start the duel!" Gohan told his grandson.

My student was really too professional at times.

In front of me at a distance of two meters was Gohan's grandson, we greeted each other and got into position, I watched him carefully, he still had a lot of openings in his stance that I could take advantage of, but still, for his age he was fine, Gohan did a good job training him.

The young man then ran in a straight line, coming towards me, halfway he jumped, gaining additional momentum, he would probably try to strike my face, my guess proved correct when he tried to punch me with his right hand, he had good speed, but I easily dodged it by moving a step to the right, Kakarotto landed on the beach sand and in a new jump tried to attack me again with a spinning kick, this was an eccentric and flashy blow, I could counter attack and finish the fight at that time, but I was curious about my student's young grandson.

Looking at Kakarotto's expression he was really bothered, whether it was with my lack of activity when attacking or if it was because of his lack of success in landing an attack I couldn't say, it was probably with both.

We continued our "dance" for a few more minutes, with each blow that the young man missed his frustration increased even more, I could hear the boy's blood pressure as well as see a vein or another pulsing in his head, he must explode in anger at one time or another, the young man was impatient, he probably had hyperactivity or something like that, Gohan was probably suffering from having to teach a child like that to have a calm mind and controlled energy, the results of Gohan's efforts were apparent, Gyumao at that age would have already shown his dissatisfaction after 1 full minute without landing a single hit.

It was time to end this brief confrontation before he decided to start complaining that I didn't fight back...

After dodging yet another punch that Gohan's grandson tried to throw at my face, I took advantage of the fact that I was in the air and couldn't dodge, at this point I threw a knee quick hit on his stomach, I didn't use much force in the blow, it was enough to keep him in the air for a few more seconds, enough for me to use the side of my hand to strike just below the back of his head, it was a clean and quick blow, the young man with the monkey's tail fainted and I caught him so he wouldn't fall face down in the sand.

I looked at Gohan who watched the entire fight without interfering. I thought he would intervene right after the knee, but he stood there calmly observing everything. My student approached, seeing that the match was over and knowing that his grandson had been passed out for a few hours, I handed him the child.

"I'm sorry Gohan, I think I exaggerated a little hahaha…" He said laughing slightly.

"No problem, master…" Gohan said, sighing. "Kakarotto would have continued to get up even if he had a broken arm, even in our usual training he forces me to exaggerate too hahaha" Gohan continued with a slight smile.

My student seems to be doing well taking care of a child, at least he keeps in touch with me, it's been a long time since I heard anything about Gyumao, the last time I heard anything about him was that, now he was a king who killed anyone who tried to steal his treasure, really regrettable, at least Gyumao didn't turn into a tyrant hungry for territory, otherwise he would have to intervene and put him in his place.

"Let's go inside, we have a lot to talk about!" I said as I walked into the driveway of my house.

"Yes, a lot of things happened, I think I can tell you a little about my last few months!" Gohan said with a smile as he followed me.

We walked in silence to the living room of my house, the turtle that lives with me, the Sea Turtle, was watching the news, the cheeky animal really took away from my yoga program!

(Gohan P.O.V)

I laid Kakarotto down on the L-shaped couch in Master Roshi's house and sat on the rug near the low table while I watched Roshi going to the refrigerator to get something.

"When did you have a grandchild? I never knew you had children." Master Roshi asked while still rummaging through the refrigerator.

"I don't really have children, I found Kakarotto in the forest a few months ago!" I said briefly. "The truth is that it was a strange situation…"

Master Roshi raised his head above the refrigerator door to get a better look at me.

"Strange how?" Roshi asked, clearly curious.

"He's an alien!" I said.

This seemed to catch both the master and the turtle by surprise, I could hear his head hitting the inside of the refrigerator, he probably hit his head in shock from the information I had just thrown on the table, I could hear him groaning in pain.

"Urgh… Are you sure it's an alien?" Roshi asked, now looking at me, having apparently given up on getting something from the fridge.

"Yes, I even saw the spaceship!" I replied.

My master closed the refrigerator, walked to the carpet and sat down facing me.

"Is he dangerous?" Roshi asked with a serious tone.

"He's not some species that eats turtles, right?" He asked the sea turtle, clearly worried about its survival. "I saw a movie about aliens that lay eggs in people's chests, these eggs hatch and make their way through the chest of their victim, the boy isn't that kind of species, right?" The turtle asked in an urgent tone.

The master and I looked at the long-aged sea animal with an indignant expression.

"You're watching too many movies, there's no such thing…" Roshi said, before looking at me with a bead of sweat now visible on his forehead. "He doesn't do that, right?"

I was outraged, do they really believe that some kind of alien like that could exist? But even I can't say that, in my other life there wasn't an encyclopedia about all the species that actually live in the DragonBall universe, only what appeared in the story itself that involved the circle of protagonists were explained, the possibility of a species like that existing gave me a shiver down my spine.

"As far as I know, Kakarot turned out to be more of a brawler with an endless stomach, I had to hunt more than usual just to satisfy the boy's appetite!" I said with a bead of sweat running down my forehead. "He arrived in a round ship that only had a device with a green screen." I continued.

Roshi shut me down for a few seconds before sighing.

"At least he's not evil, his ki is just wild, but he doesn't have any malice." Roshi said.

I nodded, I also noticed this over the course of the days with Kakarotto.

"Now, tell me, have you bought any boats recently? If you and your grandson came by canoe it would have taken a few hours to get here!" My master asked, changing the subject.

I looked at Roshi who was waiting for an answer, I didn't know how he would react to the flying technique, after all, Shen, founder of the crane martial school, rival and former colleague of Roshi under Mutaito's tutelage, had this technique with something characteristic of his martial school.

"I came here with the flying technique, it was easy to develop it after knowing how it works." I said, watching Master Roshi's expression change from surprise to slight annoyance.

"Did you go train with that idiot Shen?" Roshi asked, clearly disgusted by the idea of his best student training with a former rival who had declined in character after Mutaito's death.

"No, I didn't train with Shen!" I said quickly. "Discover the flying technique in another way!" I continued my answer.

"Did you find out how?" Roshi asked, clearly skeptical about whether or not I had gone to the sage of heron.

I was reluctant, should I tell Master Roshi about merging with another world's soul? The master is not someone who would misuse information, and he knew very well how to keep a secret despite being someone cunning when he wants to be perverted. I considered the alternatives I had, the pros of revealing it to Master Roshi far outweighed the cons.

"I'm waiting for your answer Gohan, I almost believe you really went to train with Shen!" Roshi said. "I can even hear his annoying laugh bragging that my student left me for him" Roshi said with an irritated tone.

"I discovered how to use the flying technique a few months ago after something strange happened!" I said quickly. "I haven't trained with Shen, I haven't even left Mount Paozu until today." I continued

"Something strange?" Said Roshi, clearly skeptical.

"Weirder than an alien child?" Said the sea turtle.

I looked at the turtle for a few moments, my situation was really stranger than an alien child, Kakarotto isn't even the first alien to set foot on planet Earth, the nameless Namekian who split into Kami-Sama and Piccolo Daimao came a long time before.

"A few months ago, a few days before meeting Kakarotto, I went through an unusual situation, a foreign soul merged with me!" I said, this made my master and the turtle show surprised looks.

"If you trained with Shen, you just need to say it, there's no need to make up nonsense like that" Roshi said, clearly offended and believing I was lying.

"I'm not making anything up master, it really happened, this soul had memories of another world, a world that observed ours through a fictional tale!" I said quickly.

Roshi looked at me, still skeptical.

"So we're cartoon characters?" Roshi said, not believing what I said.

"I don't think so, I lived the memories of that soul in the same way he lived mine while we were in the fusion process, if we were cartoon characters then the entity that sent him here would have said something!" I said with a firm tone.

"What did you see in that soul's memories?" Roshi asked seriously after hearing about an entity, he wouldn't take information about different beings lightly.

"I lived his entire life, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, work, divorce, fatherhood, old age and death, it was as a father that he discovered this world, he watched it with his son every day and ended up becoming a big fan! That's how I knew how to perform the flying technique" I spoke briefly. "When he died he met with an entity, this being said he would send the soul to a new world with some wishes." I continued.

The part about the wishes seemed to catch Roshi's attention, his eyes lit up with curiosity.

"What wishes did he make?" Roshi asked expectantly.

"He wished his son to have good health, knowledge of how to train ki and body efficiently and the last one was to keep the memories in his next life, apparently the soul didn't have enough karma to have a body created, whether it was a baby's body or something made from nothing with adulthood I can't say" I said with a thoughtful look at the end, I didn't really stop to think about it, if "I" hadn't asked to remember all the life in that other world, would Son Gohan before the fusion follow the same path as the original timeline? I decided not to think about it too much, thinking about hypothetical scenarios was irrelevant.

"It's still hard to believe, tell me, can you tell me something I don't know about our world?" Roshi asked with a discerning look.

I knew that the master was over 300 years old, he has already traveled the entire world, such a long life is enough to travel the entire globe and see practically everything this planet had to offer, the question was accurate.

"Of course, I can talk about how Piccolo Daimao was created!" I said, knowing this is one of the few things Roshi wouldn't know about planet Earth.

Roshi of course, his eyes widened, he never mentioned Piccolo's name, this was a trauma that he buried deep in his mind, me saying that he could talk about how that "monster" appeared left him astonished.

"D-Do you know how that monster came to be?" Roshi asked with a trembling voice.

"Yes…" I replied.

I watched Roshi think for a few moments, until he made a decision;

"Tell me everything!" Roshi said, removing the sunglasses he always wore, his eyes were sharp showing his seriousness.

"Piccolo Daimao is the evil half of an alien from a species called Namekians, they are naturally peaceful and gentle, a species native to planet Namek!" I responded, I paused briefly before continuing, Roshi being surprised was an understatement, but before he could say anything I continued speaking. "The original "Piccolo" was sent to Earth when he was still a child to be saved from a terrible environmental disaster that occurred on the planet, he grew up watching humans interact. The image of the conflicts that took place on the planet marked him forever, in his heart he now had some of the evil he saw on our planet, over time this namekian grew up and discovered that the Kami-Sama of that time was going to retire, he begged to be accepted as successor, but was rejected by Kami who saw the evil in his heart, "Piccolo" then trained exhaustively and managed to create a technique that would separate the evil from his body, this evil that came out was Piccolo Daimao, a being of pure evil born from a Namekian, today, the good part of the Namekian who grew up on Earth acts as Kami Sama!" I stated.

I looked at Roshi who had his mouth open, he seemed to not know what to say, hearing that the great villain that haunted his youth was the result of observational learning from an alien child learning from the actions of humans was something he probably didn't expect.

"What else can you tell me?" Roshi said with a trembling voice.

I looked at my master for a few moments, pointed to the sphere around his neck and began to speak.

"This sphere was created by the good side of Piccolo, it is part of a set of seven spheres spread around the world, put them together and you can summon Shenron, a dragon that fulfills any wish that does not exceed the power of its creator, after the wish is fulfilled, the spheres spread throughout the world and spend a year reloading." I said.

"Any wishes?" Roshi was interested in this information.

"As long as it does not exceed the powers of its creator, any wish is technically possible." I said.

I watched Roshi stand still immersed in his own thoughts, he stroked his beard, sometimes massaged his temples, after a few minutes, he decided to say.

"Okay, I can believe you about your situation, but I still have some questions about the dragon balls." Roshi remained serious.

The sea turtle decided to leave moments before, he didn't want to interfere in the turtle hermit's affairs and preferred to give him and his disciple privacy, leaving the two alone with the still passed out Saiyan who was lying on the upholstery.

"Okay, thank you for believing in me master." I said honestly as I bowed slightly, my chest felt a little lighter after venting about it.

Roshi just shook his hand while saying not to worry about it too much, Roshi leans forward and says.

"Tell me, can the spheres revive someone who has died?" Roshi asked seriously.

I was surprised by the question, I realized that perhaps the master was considering reviving Mutaito.

"Yes, but at the moment they can only resurrect someone who died before the period of one year of death, after that then resurrection becomes impossible, they also cannot revive someone who died due to natural causes!" I replied.

Roshi's expression fell at this new information, the old man could only sigh at this.

"I couldn't even put the spheres together, I don't even know where to look!" Roshi complained.

The master stopped for a few moments before looking at me, he thought for a few moments before realizing something.

"Gohan, you know how to find the spheres right? It must have appeared in that soul's memories!" Said Roshi, curious about the subject.

"Yes, but it is not a method we can use," I said.

I watched as Roshi's expression fell.

"Why can't we use this method?" Roshi asked.

"I, much less you, have degrees in engineering to build the machine that detects the spheres, Bulma, daughter of Doctor Briefs from Capsule Corp, will create the machine to locate the spheres, she would go on a trip to collect the objects and meet my grandson in the middle of the journey, together they would go on an adventure in search of the spheres" I said, my master seemed surprised, not expecting that my grandson would get involved in this situation.

"By the way, how old is your grandson again?" Roshi asked.

"I can't say for sure, he looks three years old, but I can't say for sure, I don't know the date he was born to calculate correctly" I said, unsure of the correct answer.

"Well, then there's nothing we can do, let's wait for this girl to make the machine, if your grandson becomes friends with her then we can borrow it!" Said the master.

I could only nod, I still didn't know if I was going to get involved, my short-term goal was not to die crushed by a giant monkey, after that, Roshi and I continued to talk, we went through different topics, I even said how the ki circulation healing technique and the flight technique worked, we continued like this until Kakarotto woke up, realizing that two and a half hours had passed after our arrival, we arrived here around 9:15 in the morning, I decided it was time to When we returned, the master asked us to wait a little, he wanted to give us a gift before we left.

Outside the house, near the beach, me, Master Roshi and Kakarotto were standing.

"Come on, Kintoun!!" Master Roshi shouted.

I was excited to see another iconic symbol from the classic Dragon Ball saga, however, I didn't think it would take that long, after 15 minutes with the sun indicating that we are halfway through the day, Roshi decided to break the silence while we were still waiting.

"You know Gohan, you still haven't given your grandson anything that could connect him to you as a family member!" Roshi said.

I glanced briefly at my master, but before I could say anything, Kakarotto spoke up.

"But grandpa already gave me Nyoibo!" Kakarot said.

"Hehehe, an object doesn't represent a family bond, but a name does!" Roshi said.

"But I already have a name!" Said the Saiyan, still not understanding why he would receive a new name.

"In addition to your adopted grandson, he is also your martial arts teacher, right?" Roshi asked.

Kakarot can only nod.

"In ancient times, by becoming a disciple of a martial master or monk, one often symbolized a new life, leaving behind one's secular identity. A new name represents a spiritual or martial rebirth." Roshi said before continuing. "So to show this bond I think Gohan should give you another name! You'll have two names! Isn't that amazing?" Roshi said with the tone of a charlatan salesman.

Kakarotto's face showed that he was considering the idea. He showed signs of accepting the proposal with the idea of having two names. He probably thought that having more than one is a very good thing.

"Okay, Grandpa, give me one more name! I want to have two names!" Exclaimed a young Kakarot who turned to me.

I laughed lightly to my grandson's childish joy, sure I bent down and ruffled his hair, I made a gesture pretending to think of what name to give him. I already knew exactly what to give him, but I wanted my grandson to think that I worked hard for that name.

"Okay, I'll call you Son Goku!" I exclaimed and made big gestures to look impressive, my antics seemed to cheer up my grandson, in the background I could see my master laughing.

"YES! Now I'm Son Goku too!" My grandson exclaimed.

Son Goku turned to Muten Roshi and said.

"Hi, I'm Goku!" My grandson said with a big smile.

"Hello Goku!" Roshi said with a light laugh.

The moment was interrupted by the characteristic sound of a certain golden cloud, it took a while but quickly stopped in front of us. Goku watched with great curiosity while I was happy to see the iconic Kintoun.

"I'll give you Kintoun, I haven't used it in a long time so it's better if I give it to you than let it sit around without any use!" Roshi said. "To use it you must have a pure heart, Observe." The master said before preparing to jump.

I knew what was going to happen, my master no longer had a "pure heart", even so I watched with great interest, the moment Roshi jumped and landed on the cloud I could see that he managed to stay on his feet for a second or two before collapsing on his butt on the ground, I could only laugh at this scene, seeing it on TV is completely different from seeing it in person.

Roshi looked at me with clear displeasure, I could only smile at him, I wouldn't apologize for that.

"If you saw so much fun in this, why don't you try to climb the cloud" Roshi said showing his displeasure.

"I don't need it, I already know how to fly, but Goku can use the cloud." I said, I easily understood Master Roshi's attempt to make fun of my heart for not being pure.

I knew that the cloud would not allow me to climb on it for the same reason that it did not allow Master Roshi, the master knew this too, after all, he trained me, at a glance I could see Goku jumping towards the cloud, I observed carefully, his ki was not malicious, but I wanted to know if his heart would be equally pure even with his memories intact, when I saw the young Saiyan land on the Kintoun I could not help but hold my breath momentarily, when I saw him standing without any sign of falling I could exhale the air that held, in my heart I still harbored doubts about Kakarotto's heart being completely pure even though I felt his ki, this really bothered me and consumed me for doubting a child, the confirmation by the simple test of the magical golden cloud lifted another weight from my chest.

"It looks like Kintoun now belongs to your grandson." Roshi said next to me as we watched Goku fly across the place on top of Kintoun.

"Uhun…" I said, still paying attention to my grandson.

"Where are you going now? Are you going home?" Roshi asked.

I took my attention away from the Saiyan child and turned to Master Kami.

"I'm going to stop by Gyumao's house before heading through the desert to get to my house! Goku's species has a transformation that involves the full moon, so I'm going to take the chance to see a safe place to teach him how to control it!" I said.

I knew it would be foolish of me not to teach my grandson how to control his natural transformation as Oozaru, my master looked at me confused, then I realized, I talked about Piccolo's race, but I didn't say anything about Saiyans.

"During the full moon, Goku's race can transform into a giant ape, without training they lose control and become just super destructive wild animals!" I said.

Master Roshi gave me a worried look.

"Be careful, if you need any help you can always call me, after all now you can come and get me with your flying technique!" Roshi said.

"Or you can learn to fly…" I said.

Roshi looked at me indignantly, the look making it seem like I said something really profane.

"And use one of Shen's techniques? No thanks!" Roshi said, denying any possibility of using the flying technique.

At this I could only laugh, seeing that there was nothing left for us to talk about I began to levitate, before heading towards Goku I turned to say a few things to the master before saying goodbye.

"When Goku is between 11 and 12 years old, when the girl Bulma will have started her journey, I would ask for the sphere that you have, but I will let things take their course, I intend to focus completely on teaching Goku how to control the Oozaru transformation!" I said.

Keeping the sphere now or later wouldn't make any difference, in the end I wouldn't know where the other spheres are besides Oolong's village and the one in Gyumao's castle, the master just nodded, understanding my reasons, after saying goodbye I flew towards Goku who was riding Kintoun.

"Grandpa, Kintoun is amazing!!" Goku said excitedly.

Faced with my grandson's childish joy, I could only laugh.

"We're going Goku, we're going to visit an old friend of mine before we go home!" I said. "Let's take advantage of the fact that we can now go faster with you using Kintoun!"

My grandson nodded, so my grandson and I disappeared into the horizon heading towards Fry-pan mountain.
