A Multiverse Tale: Hope in Another World!

Chapter 4: Chapter 4 - Restoring Konoha’s Glory Falls Upon Us!

Takuma Kirie had crossed into the multiverse world, only to earn the title of "orphan" after a car accident struck just as he graduated elementary school and entered junior high.

To survive, he mulled over his options and settled on drawing manga for submission. At first, it was just a way to scrape by. He whipped up Tsuki ga Kirei and Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, expecting pocket change. To his shock, they exploded in popularity, netting him enough cash to cover living expenses and tuition for the next seven or eight years.

By the time he hit his first year of high school and transferred to Shuchiin Academy, he aimed to cement his genius mangaka reputation—and, admittedly, to get closer to Kitagawa Marin, the ultimate 2D-loving girl. His next big move? Bringing Naruto to life.

To prep, Kirie spent days painstakingly reviewing all 700 chapters locked in his memory. Afterward, he couldn't resist scribbling his thoughts in a notebook:

"I flipped through Naruto to dig in—no dates, just pages scrawled with 'hot-blooded effort' in jagged lines. Tossing and turning all night, I pored over it till dawn. Only then did I see it between the cracks: every page screamed 'bloodline supremacy'!!!"

In the Naruto world, without a top-tier kekkei genkai, you could grind your whole life and still wind up as fodder. Aside from Might Guy, late-game powerhouses were almost all tied to the Sage of Six Paths by blood. No elite lineage? Good luck making it big.

Right now, the Second Great Ninja War had just wrapped up—a breather period. Orochimaru, haunted by his student Nawaki's death, was growing obsessed with immortality and teaming up with Danzo to experiment with Hashirama's cells. In the original story, this era saw him snatching up plenty of orphans for his twisted human trials.

But Kirie had the Multiverse Roulette—a cheat that could perfectly integrate Hashirama's cells. If he could spark Orochimaru's interest, he might just snag Senju Hashirama's Sage Body. This was a gamble he couldn't pass up!

Without a second thought, he leapt to his feet and charged into the pouring rain, splashing through mud until he stood before Orochimaru.

"Are you the legendary Sannin, Lord Orochimaru?!"

Now an eight- or nine-year-old kid, Kirie tilted his head up, eyes blazing with the fervor of a starry-eyed fanboy.

It wasn't an odd look. The Sannin's fame rang across the ninja world; tons of Konoha kids worshipped them.

"Indeed, that's me," Orochimaru hissed.

He'd clocked Kirie's frantic scramble through the rain, so he didn't dismiss this zealous little admirer. Instead, his snake-like pupils narrowed with a glint of appraisal.

"Kid, you've been eyeing me this whole time. Now you've got the nerve to step up—what's your game?"

That raspy, chilling voice hit Kirie like a cold-blooded python coiling around him. Even without flexing his aura, Orochimaru's presence radiated a near-deathly frost.

In the Naruto world, eight- or nine-year-old ninja spies weren't unheard of. Take Hatake Kakashi—a prodigy who graduated the academy at five and hit chunin at six. Most kids finished school by ten, and during the wars, even younger ones hit the battlefield.

Kirie's sudden approach piqued Orochimaru's curiosity. He wanted to know what this brat was after.

Likewise, Takuma knew this encounter's outcome hinged on his next words.

He lifted his face without hesitation, letting the rain lash against him, his eyes burning with unshakable resolve.

"That year, during the Second Great Ninja War, the Sannin faced the demigod Hanzo—3-0, a total washout. I saw my father, hearing of your defeat, collapse in a chair, sobbing uncontrollably. That image is seared into my soul."

"Right then, I swore—if I became a ninja, I'd win every fight. Now, the chance stands before me, and I have to ask: is this my one shot in this lifetime?"

"I believe Konoha owes its dominance today to you, Lord Orochimaru. Restoring the village's glory falls upon us—it's our duty!"

The more he spoke, the wilder Kirie's eyes grew, brimming with unbridled passion.

"My parents died because they were weak. And me? I've been weak too—curled up like an ant, praying for some fleeting stroke of luck."

"Lord Orochimaru, take me as your student! I want to be strong—to seize control of my own life. For that, I'll give everything!"

Sure enough, Orochimaru's expression shifted, a faint, intrigued smirk playing on his lips.

"Restoring Konoha's glory falls upon us? Everything, huh?"

"You're… interesting."

His gaze sharpened, slicing over Kirie like a frigid blade scraping bone.

In that instant, cold sweat drenched Kirie's back, adrenaline pumping like it was free. Fear wrapped him like a thousand knives poised to strike.

But knowing how crucial this moment was, he grit his teeth and held his ground, face still raised. Blood trickled from his clenched fists, yet he didn't flinch.

"Not bad…"

Orochimaru retracted his stare, his oppressive aura dissipating. Kirie crumpled into the muddy water, pale and gasping for air.

"But you're not worthy of being my student yet."

Orochimaru's eyes flicked over him, cold and calculating, like he was sizing up a disposable pawn.

"I'll give you a shot. Succeed, and you'll gain immense power."

"I'm in!" Kirie shot back, no hesitation in his voice.

"Keep up…"

Orochimaru donned his conical hat and strode off into the storm. Where once he'd walked alone, a small boy now trailed diligently behind.

He didn't glance back to check if Kirie followed. For now, the kid's performance was decent—good enough to be a test subject.

The rest didn't matter. Failure meant death. Success? Kirie would be a prime specimen for mastering Hashirama's cells.

Most likely, though, this brat would end up as another failed data point.

Orochimaru's serpentine eyes glinted with detached indifference. Unbeknownst to him, the boy trudging behind, head bowed against the rain, wore a faint, triumphant grin.

With the Multiverse Roulette in his corner, Kirie was guaranteed the Sage Body.

Even if he did nothing else, this haul alone made the transmigration a bloody jackpot!
