A Multiverse Tale: Hope in Another World!

Chapter 7: Chapter 7 - Scheming for the Eight Gates

In the days that followed, Takuma Kirie didn't rush to schmooze with the classroom's future legends. Instead, he kept a low profile—training quietly, soaking up ninja world basics, and honing his fundamentals.

The class gradually got used to having another aloof pretty boy around, one who out-chilled even Hatake Kakashi. But everyone knew Kirie's iciness was reserved for the rest of them. With Mitarashi Anko and Yuhi Kurenai, he was all smiles and chatter, the trio looking thick as thieves.

Plenty of classmates had spotted them hitting the streets together—eating, shopping, vibing like old friends. Over time, whispers spread through the Ninja Academy. Most figured Kirie and Yuhi Kurenai were an item, with Mitarashi Anko not even in the running.

Why? Well, everyone pegged Anko as too "bold" (wild) and "cheerful" (rough). She had a tomboy streak—known for bullying boys until they bawled. Sure, both girls were neck-and-neck in looks, but her "awful" personality earned her the class boys' title of "Most Beautiful Girl We'd Never Date."

One day, after class:

For once, Kirie didn't stick around to boost his rapport with the two girls. Instead, he slipped off to a secluded spot, practicing water-walking and tree-climbing drills.

Thanks to his Sage Body, his chakra pool was nearing chunin levels, but the downside was obvious—he needed constant training to fine-tune his control over that raw energy.

After his daily basics, he pulled out a balloon and got to work on the third stage of Rasengan practice, taking it slow and steady.

The Rasengan was a transmigrator's dream perk—anyone who'd seen the original series knew its three-step process. Stage one: rotation. Simple—focus chakra in your palm, spin it in a rough orbit, chaotic on the inside. Stage two: power. Trickier—use that spinning chakra to burst a rubber ball. It was leaps harder, like jumping from a B-rank jutsu to the doorstep of A-rank.

Now, Kirie was on stage three: compressing that rotating power to its max and holding it steady.

He juggled the delicate chakra control for the Rasengan while keeping an eye out, like he was waiting for someone. After the fifth balloon popped, a green-clad figure radiating hot-blooded energy bounded into view.

"One thousand one, one thousand two…"

Kappa haircut, bushy brows, green jumpsuit, and a massive boulder strapped to his back for frog jumps. The sheer intensity hit like a freight train—this wasn't human-level training.

No doubt about it—this was the guy who nearly kicked the finale into orbit! The Naruto world's truest genius, a titan who clawed to the top through sheer grit, no bloodline crutch required: Might Guy!

Kirie had spent the past few days cozying up to the girls, sure, but he'd also been subtly digging into Might Guy and Hatake Kakashi's routines. Learning Might Guy's usual training spot, he'd set up this ambush—and it'd paid off.

Right now, Might Guy and his dad, Might Dai, were Konoha's punching bags. Might Dai got flak as the "Eternal Genin," while Might Guy, with zero ninjutsu talent, had barely scraped into the academy via make-up exams. Kids his age shunned and mocked him relentlessly.

It wasn't until the Third Ninja War, when Might Dai unleashed the Eight Gates and stomped the Seven Swordsmen into next week, that anyone clocked their potential.

That obscurity was Kirie's golden ticket—a chance to snag Might Dai's personal Eight Gates Formation teachings.

With that in mind, Kirie stashed the balloon, strolling over like it was a happy accident, his eyes glinting with feigned curiosity as he watched Might Guy train.

Time ticked by slowly. Only when Might Guy wrapped up that grueling phase did Kirie step forward.

"Might Guy, didn't expect to run into you here," he said, flashing a harmless smile as he offered a water bottle. "Gotta say, you're seriously impressive."

"I've heard the class call you a dead-last, but from what I'm seeing? You're a beast at taijutsu."

"Really?!"

It was the first time anyone had ever praised Might Guy. His bushy brows shot up, water forgotten as he leapt to his feet, staring at Kirie with wide, blazing eyes, like he couldn't believe it.

"No doubt," Kirie said with a firm nod, leaning into his intrigue. "Your physical training's unreal. Forget geniuses like Hatake Kakashi—most chunin couldn't match that stamina."

"I've always wanted to train taijutsu myself. Mind if I join you sometime?"

"OHHH! THE YOUTH IS BURNING!"

Might Guy's spirit ignited at the invite, his voice booming with zeal.

"This is youth! Kirie, my comrade on this journey—let's blaze together!"

---

One week later:

Kirie hobbled home, collapsing at the entryway with practiced exhaustion.

Moments later, the two girls inside hauled him up like it was routine. Mitarashi Anko couldn't hold back a grumbled jab:

"So, Kirie, you sparred with Might Guy again today?"

"Nah," Kirie rasped, coughing hard as his lungs screamed. "Today it was Uncle Might Dai… cough…"

He'd underestimated this hot-blooded father-son duo's desperation. All he'd done was toss them a few kind words, train alongside them, and treat them to some ramen.

Next thing he knew, they were dragging him into daily hell-mode workouts. They spilled every trick and insight they had—Might Dai even treated him like a prized pupil, sparring full-tilt with no mercy.

Kirie was dead certain: without his Sage Body, he'd be bedridden for days.
