Abyss Draconis

Chapter 328: Next Plan

"You really did grow incredibly fast in that ruin..." MadWhite muttered as Ryuk halted in his tracks for a few seconds, but continued, finishing the last bit of vegetables before returning to look at MadWhite. "The Eternity Grade expert that I mentioned to you about..." he said, as MadWhite paused, turning his attention to him. "What about her?" "She's not at the Eternity Grade," he replied, causing a bit of light to flash in MadWhite's eyes, before a relieved sigh escaped his lips. "Somehow, that is peaceful to hear. So you were bluffing to the Leaders?" he teased, as Ryuk shrugged. "In a way." "My point is we still need to gather the human forces together to the Porion City." "I'm telling you that so you don't think there's an Eternity Grade expert under my command, and therefore no need to prepare for the Knull war." "And as much as I want to be confident that the leaders will come to our aid, we can't afford to put the fate of 60% of humanity's population into their hands, no matter their choice." "The human army needs to be well-armed." "In what way?" MadWHite asked curiously. "I've seen the combat equipment they used in the last Knull war. Those equipments could be better. Their combat jets, too, can be improved, same for thier combat suits." "This is one of humanity's most important wars, and we can't afford to lose!" Ryuk's voice resounded through the hall as MadWhite was about to playfully shoo him off, but his expression tightened before he replied. "I understand." "My father has access to the Human Armies. He's a high-ranking official too. Through him, I can get to their weapon recreation center and help them in their creations. Their weapons and combat systems can be improved with my knowledge." "It will be much work for me though..." MadWhite said as Ryuk nodded. "It'll be all worth it in the end..." "I guess that gives me a job to do." "What about you? What do you plan on doing? The Knull attack won't be taking place in two weeks at least from now." "Got any plans before that, or just planning on living life slow?" MadWhite said, as Ryuk turned his gaze to the Void kitten pilfering food on the table, even though its stomach was bulging, quite bigger than its own head, and he looked at his fingers curling before unfurling. "I want to go into seclusion." "Seclusion?" MadWhite asked with a raised eyebrow as Ryuk nodded. "Yes. My power level might be at the Cataclysm stage, but my cultivation level is still only at the Initial Plane of Dominion." "That needs to be fixed, and the only way I see that being done is through deep seclusion," Ryuk mused to himself. Right now, Ryuk knew well his power level might be at the Cataclysm stage, but he also knew that was only due to his skills, which were at Level 30. His Nano skills, especially, was incredibly high level, and that instantly threw him into the Cataclysm stage. His Ice ability combined with his domain skill was also incredibly powerful. When those two abilities are activated at the same time, he would be able to take on Cataclysm-stage experts. But still, it was clear that Ryuk was lacking behind in cultivation levels. He was still only at the Initial Plane of Dominion. And since he was still in the initial plane, he had very large potential to improve. There was currently no sort of bottleneck right now. Even his Primordial Frost sculpture hadn't been well cultivated by him. If he cultivated it well, he would gain the naturally ingrained skills from the cultivation art, and he would also be able to increase his cultivation level, which would also automatically increase his Mana stats, ensuring he could use his Frost Sovereign skill and his Domain skill for much longer. Besides, there was also the Void Kitten which he had just contracted. He hadn't even had time to check through its panel and see the new skill he had inherited. And if he inherited a new skill from it, he would need to also get more cultivation manual and begin cultivating his second element, as well as get familiarized with the skill. There were also the Abyssal Howlers that MadWhite had given to him, and he had yet to check out their skills. Those were the best weapons he'd got, and he knew well that he needed to master their skills and become proficient at using them. There were a lot of things that needed to be done, and he had many areas where he could improve. There was no time to waste relaxing around. He needed his cultivation to reach the Cataclysm stage, and his power level hopefully try reaching for the Eternity Grade. Based on how the leaders had reacted when they heard he had an Eternity Grade expert under his control, he could roughly guess the true game changer on Endertha was the appearance of someone at the Eternity Grade. If he managed to reach the Eternity Grade power level, then even the leaders wouldn't have their commands able to affect him. And with the Knull war already approaching, he had no idea what would be coming in the next descents. Better to be prepared than unready, though. His talk of defeating the Knull, a conqueror race, wasn't just talk, and he knew well some of them were specially coming for his head. All he needed right now was to stay focused and go into deep seclusion. "Sounds like you've made up your mind." "I would like a frozen place. A place with a temperature at absolute zero. A place far from human life," Ryuk said to MadWhite, who furrowed his eyebrows, his gaze narrowing before a slight flash appeared in his eyes. "I know a perfect place..." he muttered, as Ryuk smiled. If there was one thing MadWhite had, it was his access. And that was something Ryuk needed. If he wanted to improve his cultivation, then his best bet was a place with natural elements tied to his frost element. In such a place, the concentration of Apex energy would be denser, but such a place won't be free, of course, unless he was MadWhite's Intern. "There's no time to waste. We eat and rest for the night. Then we get onto our plans in the morning..." MadWhite said as Ryuk nodded and they both silently dived into their dishes, soon finishing up. The Void Kitten ate so much it eventually couldn't anymore, crawling back to Ryuk and collapsing onto his laps. And soon he and MadWhite left the dining room, the maids came in to clean everything up and the lights were soon switched off, reducing everything to pitch darkness.
