Actually, I turned into a girl with beast ears.

VII – Special Class A Mission

[Special Class A Mission]

[All residents of City S are required to participate in this mission. A city-wide "Battle Royale" will commence. The last survivor will be declared the winner.]

[The winner will receive an advanced skill and a full set of purple-grade equipment.]

[Note: In this event, “deaths” are not permanent; however, fallen players will receive temporary debuffs once the event concludes. Fight for a spot at the top!]

[The event will begin in 10 minutes.]

Everyone stared at the interface in stunned silence. Ye Lan blinked, bewildered. Wasn’t this basically a survival game? But before she could say a word, Suo Gang stepped forward toward the men lying on the floor, his expression dark and severe.

"Where are my friends? What did you do to them?" Suo Gang demanded, his voice cutting as he lifted one of the men off the ground in a swift motion.

The terrified men frantically waved their hands. “No, it wasn’t us! When we got here, it was already like this!” They backed away under Suo Gang’s intense gaze, his eyes cold as steel.

Ye Lan watched the scene unfold, her thoughts swirling around the 'battle' that was about to begin.

"Are you telling the truth?"

"Yes, yes! It’s true!"

"Hmph!"

Suo Gang threw them forcefully to the ground, leaving their health bars nearly in the red. Then he turned to Du Heng, who nodded and quickly stepped forward.

Du Heng’s role was 'ninja' and one of his innate abilities was mind reading. Though it wasn’t a high-level skill and only worked on people at a lower level than his own, Du Heng was level 10, while the strongest among them was level 8, giving him a clear advantage.

[Mind Reading]

Du Heng’s eyes turned a dark shade of purple, and the bodies of the four men trembled as fragments of their memories flowed into his mind.

It turned out they were just thugs without any real purpose, and one of them was an 'alchemist' allowing him to craft high-level equipment through forging. That explained the existence of the Gatling gun they carried.

When they arrived at the police station, there were already bloodstains in the area, the computers were on, but no one was around, and there were no signs of a struggle.

After understanding this, Du Heng looked at Suo Gang and shook his head. Suo Gang frowned, sighed, and sat down on a nearby chair.

"Seems like you weren’t responsible. Get out of here!" With a shout, the thugs stumbled away, leaving the five of them alone in the station.

Ye Lan covered her head, looking at her hands with concern. Although she hadn’t killed anyone, her level had gone up from 1 to 2. Could it be that beastkin leveled up differently from humans? Beyond that, the intense bloodlust she felt when using [Blood Armor] ... it was dangerous. If she wasn’t careful, she might lose control, so she’d definitely need to use that ability sparingly.

This world seemed like a game, but it was anything but. Everything was so real that it would be easy to get lost in it. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. That carefree attitude she’d had before could no longer exist. Now, she had to fight to survive here. Why? Well, of course, to find a way to reclaim her male identity! Sure, being a little girl had its charm, and being a beast girl was even more fascinating, but he definitely didn’t want to stay like this forever!

What would life be without his 'little brother'? Plus, in this world, beast girls actually existed. When he could become a man again, he’d have one on each side! With that thought, Ye Lan lowered his head and chuckled quietly. Seeing this, Mu Xuetong thought she was scared and gently patted her on the back.

"Don’t worry, Xiao Lan. We’ll protect you. When the mission starts, just follow us. If it comes down to just us at the end, we’ll let you win" Mu Xuetong said in a comforting tone, thumping his chest to emphasize his words.

The movement of Mu Xuetong’s two 'little rabbits' on her chest made Ye Lan lift his head, only to lower it immediately, his face turning bright red. The others didn’t notice anything unusual; after all, to them, both Mu Xuetong and Ye Lan were girls, so there was no reason for something like this to cause embarrassment. Transforming into a new race was one thing, but changing genders... now, that was truly hard to accept, wasn’t it?

Ye Lan nodded awkwardly, and at that moment, Mu Xuetong extended both arms and hugged him, pressing his head against her chest.

"Don’t worry! I’ll protect you!"

“Mmm-mm!” Ye Lan, struggling for air, tried to break free from the embrace, but due to the passive effect of [Loli Sanhao] his physical strength outside of combat was reduced to just one percent of its usual power. His attempt to escape was misinterpreted by Mu Xuetong as a fearful tremble, which only made her hug him tighter.

"We’re here for you, Xiao Lan!"

“Mmm-mmm-mm-mm!”

Ye Lan gradually stopped resisting, her face still buried in Mu Xuetong’s chest. This sensation... this sensation... it was surprisingly comfortable!

[Event Countdown Finished]
[Initiating Forced Teleportation]

A flash of white light enveloped everyone, momentarily blinding them as the world around them began to dissolve. It felt as if the dimension itself were shattering, and for an instant, Ye Lan glimpsed a new world: an enormous land filled with adorable, animal-eared girls running everywhere.

It was paradise!

But the moment didn’t last long. Darkness covered her vision again, and when she came to, she found herself alone in a small room, probably a suite in some building. Confused, she looked around and noticed that Mu Xuetong and the others weren’t nearby.

"It seems we were forcibly separated. How annoying... I hope I can survive until the final round" she murmured, slowly walking toward the door.

She reached out, gently turned the doorknob with a soft click, and opened it to reveal whatever awaited her in the hallway.

"Go to hell!"
"You should be the one going to hell!"

The two armored men were throwing clumsy punches at each other, their movements so awkward they looked like squabbling children. They were blocking the hallway right in front of Ye Lan, preventing her from moving forward.

Ye Lan glanced up and noticed their levels displayed above their heads.

[Wang Zhatian, Level 1]
[Li Xuanyuan, Level 1]

A sly smile curled at the corner of Ye Lan's lips as she cracked her knuckles and slowly opened her mouth.

"Two pathetic weaklings, fighting right in front of me?"

It happened again... I really need to start improving my schedule...
