Adventure Time : A True Journey

The figure was wearing a brown, torn dirty cloak, covering most of their body from being visible. They were tall from what Finn could see and most importantly, they had their backs turned to them, offhandedly as if the person were not concerned by the presence of Finn and Jake standing beside him.

But Finn thought it was cool! A way to act both nonchalant and a great entry into a battle.

Finn could sense the danger that came from the figure. The threat was so potent that Finn moved backward, pulling Jake with him and preventing him from doing anything reckless.

He was aware of who the figure was. From his memories, he was aware that the figure was the last survivor of his race, a race so efficient at what they did that their only downfall resulted from their own success.

 It was a sad fact that Finn would accept despite his love for the Princess. His love did not make him blind to some of the questionable things Bonnie had done. In fact, it only made Finn even more critical in his judgement.

And a judgement Finn had accepted even now and before was from a unique perspective, the truth was that Bonnie couldn't in the conventional sense, be called a good person. Her history spoke for itself. But what did that matter?

But Finn did not care about that. He was in love. And Finn could change her!

But Finn remained confused about certain aspects of her decisions and judgement throughout the show. For instance, how she handled the matter concerning the Rattleballs.

He could not understand her point of view in a way. Why would Bonnie deny the efficient but deadly Rattleballs in exchange for the dumb banana guards? 

 He thought about history, thinking about the history of the banana guard and then of the Rattleballs.

But that was not Finn's place to interfere. The princess had her reasons for doing what she did. Finn did not need to understand her reasons for now.

" Intruders, you are not welcome here. Are you okay Trashy? " Rattleballs did not spare them the eyes as he talked. But His voice was blank, almost bland but deadly. Finn could sense the threat.

Rattleballs eyes remained on the spot where the monster was gathering, and Finn noticed how his vibe had changed. Gentler in a way.

The monster stopped accumulating body mass from the surrounding garbage bags and stopped being a green blobby mass.

" Did these bad people hurt you Trashy, I'm sorry I was late. I will handle this. " Finn only felt a shiver run down his spine at the words, things were about to get difficult.

But the shiver also came with excitement! He would not lie though.

Finn felt excited for the fact that he would be able to face someone from his knowledge who was strong.

And if things went wrong, Finn had a way to stop the fight, he thought.

Rattleballs drew his sword, slicing the air around him as at the same he threw the brown cloak he wore to the side, dramatically from what Finn was seeing.

He was quite surprised that Rattleballs had made friends in the sludge monster they had been fighting with earlier, but Finn did not find it that hard to believe. Seeing the monster was calmly staying where Rattleballs had talked to it before. And loneliness had pushed him to find companionship there.

" This is going to get tough. " Finn told Jake positioning his sword forward, the ninja sword due to its better durability than scarlet. He preferred not to have scarlet break suddenly.

The brown cloak that had Rattleballs had thrown to the side finally landed on the ground.

" Just be careful..." Finn jumped to the side before he could finish talking to Jake.

He had seen from his observation Haki, a figure thrusting a sword with extreme speed in their direction.

" Boom."

It was as if the air had exploded in the area Finn and Jake had stood in before. The figure of Rattleballs now standing there unfazed. He swiped the cloud of dust he had generated and focused again on them.

 Luckily for Jake, Finn had been the one who Rattleballs had targeted. Unluckily for him though, he got blasted away by the air exploding quite a distance away.

"So cool." This was Finn's honest opinion at the shadowless strike. A move that heavily relied on extreme speed, technique and Rattleballs on robotic physique. The fact that the attack exploded the surrounding air and blasted everything away only made it better.

" This guy is bad news, Finn. " Jake climbed free from the junk pile as he complained. He had barely caught the figure approaching. And it was only his own animal instinct that had allowed him to avoid the blast range.

The figure also had a distinct rustic smell that allowed Jake to be able to distinguish when he approached.

But with speed that fast, Jake was starting to see the danger of their current opponent. He was already thinking of an escape route. If things got too bad, he would grab Finn and book it.

"Interesting, you managed to avoid that. " Rattle balls waved his sword, once again slicing the air where he stood.

Finn was charging forward. He reasoned that an opponent such as Rattleballs, it was better to force them into a scenario of close combat rather than keeping distance as they had earlier done with the trash monster.

 This would not only prevent him from getting into his attack motion but would also eliminate what Finn perceived as Rattleballs most Deadly technique, which was the shadowless strike.

The fact that Finn had seen the motions Rattle balls had to get into to make his attack only made things easier. For now, he was working with assumptions, but Finn had to just make them work.

Finn summoned three flames, two he launched at rattle balls while the last one attached to his blade, encasing it in a red flame.

Finn had known they would do minor damage, but Rattleballs sliced both the flames again in half, both at the same time, his speed extinguishing any hopes of the flame reigniting with the burst of air that came with it.

Finn had hoped the burst after the flame would function as good enough distraction, but the air generated by the slash destroyed such hopes.

But that was good enough for Finn.

He also burst forward, exerting the ninja suit to propel Finn at a burst of speed and Finn instantly appeared next to Rattleballs.

His blade took on a dark hue and the flame on it only grew fiercer, the basic application of armament Haki Finn had been practicing incasing the blade.

 Rattleballs had been prepared for his arrival Finn had noticed his stance, his features remaining blank, despite Finn's impressive display. 

But Finn was not worried.

His blade came down on the robot and rattle balls also raised his own blade, lazily, as if the action were born out of boredom.

" Boom."

The blades met, both at a standstill, the air burst into the collision, and the ground cracked but neither moved back or forward.

" Shit. " Finn complained.

" You are quite a strong young one. But strength is not enough to defeat me. " Rattleballs said and it was only then that the false standstill broke as both moved.

In fact, there was no standstill at all. Finn had been struggling this entire time!

The force he was putting in his arms barely moved the figure as he exerted everything. But how could this be?

He had stacked three different powers, and it barely did anything!

Rattle balls exerted his strength, and he finally pushed Finn back with a nudge of his force. 

" While my strength may not be enough, who said I'm fighting alone? " Jake finally acted. His hands sank around Rattleballs tying him up full of head up to his neck.

" Hahaha. Got Him! " Jake rejoiced and Finn finally put away his sword. He was satisfied with the result, and there was no more reason to continue the fight.

The reason he allowed it to go on for as long as it already had was mainly because he was curious how strong rattle balls was. And seeing' Jake already starting to struggle in holding him back, he was plenty strong.

It was time to end this farce!

" Hey rattle balls, Princess Bubblegum sent us. " Finn spotted the shock that came to Rattle balls now unmoving body.

His expression also mirrored That with his eyes wide and his mouth fully open.

Jake only looked at Finn, confused. What was he talking about?

The princess, when had the princess sent Finn?

Jake was confused but he let Finn do what he was doing. It looked like it was working. And the fact that Jake wanted to quickly let this guy go before his arms were sliced through was also a major part of the reason.

This guy was too strong!!
