Adventures on the Aelso Continent: The Secret Behind the Fall of Civil

Chapter 2: Chapter Two: The Language of Magic

"You can really understand me?" she repeated, watching my stunned expression.

"Y-yeah," I stammered. "What… was that fruit?"

"It's called a Lunara Fruit," she replied, a small smile tugging at her lips. "Rare, but it helps outsiders sync with the magic of this land. Without it, you wouldn't have been able to understand our language."

I looked around again, the weight of my situation sinking in. "Where exactly… am I?"

"This is the Aelso Continent," she said. "An ancient land—older than you can imagine. Long ago, it was home to a civilization that merged magic and technology, far surpassing anything that exists now. But that age ended in ruin. What remains are fragments—ruins, scattered relics, and the echoes of a lost era."

She gestured toward the distant horizon, where towering spires and crumbled monuments stood, half-swallowed by forests and deserts.

"And you?" I asked. "Who are you?"

The golden-haired girl hesitated for a moment, then straightened her back with a certain regal grace. "I am Alicia, Princess of the Kingdom of Tibilis."

A princess? Of course. Somehow, it didn't surprise me.

"But why help me?" I questioned.

Alicia's gaze drifted toward the sky, where the shadow of a flying whale glided overhead. "Because the world is in danger. Something stirs beneath the ruins of the ancient civilization—something that threatens to destroy everything. And your arrival here… isn't a coincidence."

Her words sent a chill through me.

She continued, "Every person in this world is born with innate magic—aligned to one or two elements: fire, water, earth, air, light, dark, metal, or electricity. But you… I sense something different in you."

I swallowed hard. "Different how?"

"Your aura… it carries the essence of all eight elements."

My mind reeled. "That can't be—"

"But it is," she cut in. "It's unheard of. And it means one thing—you were summoned here for a reason."

I didn't know what to say. I wasn't a warrior. I wasn't a hero.

I was just a guy from Earth.

And now, apparently, the fate of an entire world was in my hands.

Fantastic.
