After Being Reborn, I Refuse To Be The Holy Son Of The Sect Anymore

Chapter 135:

Chapter 135:

“It’s cool and sweet. Do you have more? Give me another one!” Xiao Yang swallowed the so-called Nine Nether Icy Soul Pill given to him by Yin Yue, licked his lips, and looked at her with anticipation as if he were enjoying candy.

“You…” Yin Yue stared at Xiao Yang as if he were a monster.

That was the Nine Nether Icy Soul Pill, one of the three deadliest poisons in the world, incurable and without antidote, yet this guy wanted another one?

She only had one, and obtaining it was no easy feat. Across the entire continent, it would be nearly impossible to find another.

“Despicable and shameless demonic scum!”

Under the moonlight, atop the cliff, everyone from Azure Sun Sword Sect was furious at the scene before them.

These two demonic cultivators had broken their promise. They hadn’t released Jiang Ting and Qin Fei as agreed and even mocked them for being fools.

It seemed they truly were fools—first offering themselves as hostages one after another and then allowing these two villains to force poison down their throats.

“Aren’t you angry? Furious? Good, you should be!” Ming He sneered.

“What will it take for you to let them go?” Jiang Qitian gritted his teeth in frustration.

Having wielded the Azure Sun Sword earlier, his vital energy had been severely depleted. His hair had turned white in an instant. If he didn’t take a year or two to recover, it would be difficult to regain his strength.

If he were to wield the Azure Sun Sword again now, even if he managed to kill these two vile demons, it would drain him completely, and he would die on the spot.

He had worked so hard to secure the position of Sect Master; how could he give up his status and power so easily?

Everyone glared at Ming He and Yin Yue with hatred.

The four great elders and the elite disciples of the Azure Sun Sword Sect had locked their focus on the two enemies.

Especially the Transmission Elder, a true sword master at the early stage of the Divine Martial Realm. His sword intent was firmly locked onto them.

“Who said we’re not letting them go?” Ming He sneered.

“Then let them go already!” the Transmission Elder shouted angrily.

If it weren’t for their carelessness, they wouldn’t have ended up captured, nor would they have alerted the entire sect. None of this would have happened.

The Transmission Elder felt a deep sense of guilt.

It was understandable for the younger disciples like Lei Renjie to fall for the trap, but for him—a seasoned elder—to be deceived as well? It was simply unacceptable.

Thinking about it made him feel utterly humiliated.

“Fine, I’ll let her go now!” Ming He smirked and, without hesitation, threw Jiang Ting toward Jiang Qitian.

Jiang Qitian quickly caught his daughter.

“Father…” Jiang Ting burst into tears of grievance.

“Hey, what about him? Are you not planning to release him?” Xiao Yang smirked, glancing at Qin Fei.

“You’re teaching me how to do things?” Ming He glared coldly at Xiao Yang.

“How could I dare to teach the great protector of the Demon Sect’s young master, the Demon General Ming He?” Xiao Yang’s lips curled into a smile.

“What…”

Ming He was utterly shocked.

How did Xiao Yang know his identity?

How much did he know?

Even Qin Fei was taken aback. However, he quickly forced himself to remain calm.

He thought it was impossible. He had been extremely cautious in Azure Sun Sword Sect, ensuring that Xiao Yang couldn’t have discovered his true identity.

If Xiao Yang had known, given his personality, he would have exposed him long ago.

But how did he know about Ming He’s identity?

Yin Yue, standing beside them, was equally stunned and stared at Xiao Yang in fear.

If Xiao Yang knew Ming He’s identity, did he also know hers?

Her heart raced with unease. If Qin Fei’s identity as the Demon Sect’s young master was exposed, it would be catastrophic.

Xiao Yang observed the subtle changes in their expressions and sneered internally.

Just a hint about Ming He’s identity was enough to rattle them.

He knew exactly how important Qin Fei’s undercover presence in Azure Sun Sword Sect was to the Demon Sect.

After all, the Azure Sun Sword was one of the keys to unlocking the Demon Abyss Seal.

Ming He and Yin Yue exchanged glances, seeing deep fear in each other’s eyes.

Xiao Yang had to die.

Their own exposure was insignificant, but Qin Fei’s identity could never be revealed.

“You are the Demon General Ming He?” Jiang Qitian glared at Ming He coldly.

The revelation stunned the four great elders and all the disciples of Azure Sun Sword Sect.

A Demon General—this man was a high-ranking figure in the Demon Sect, second only to the Demon Lords and the Demon Master himself!

“Senior Brother said he’s the protector of the Demon Sect’s young master… who is their young master?” Lin Wangchuan asked loudly.

“If the young master’s protector is here, could the young master himself be nearby?” Song Qiang gasped.

Everyone was shaken by the thought.

Could it be that all of this was orchestrated by the elusive and terrifying Demon Sect’s young master?

“Xiao Yang, what nonsense are you spouting?” Ming He panicked.

“What’s wrong? Did I hit the mark?” Xiao Yang looked at Ming He smugly.

“Alright, since you want to play games, I’ll make sure you lose.” Ming He sneered, yanking Xiao Yang closer and turning to Jiang Ting. “Miss Jiang, do you want me to release them?”

“Let them go right now!” Jiang Ting gritted her teeth, glaring at Ming He.

“Fine, I won’t say I didn’t give you a chance to save them.” Ming He glanced at Qin Fei, then at Xiao Yang, and smirked. “You choose. I can only release one of them, and there’s only one antidote.”

“What…” Everyone was shocked and furious.

“Junior Sister, is there even a choice? Of course, you should choose Senior Brother!” Song Qiang said anxiously.

“Senior Brother is a good person. That Qin guy is a bad one. Junior Sister, what are you hesitating for? Choose the good person! Who would pick the bad one?” Lin Wangchuan added urgently.

“This…” Jiang Ting looked at Xiao Yang, then at Qin Fei.

How was she supposed to choose?

One was the senior brother she had grown up with since childhood, and the other was the junior brother who willingly took poison and offered himself as a hostage to save her.

How could she decide?

“Senior Sister…” Qin Fei looked at Jiang Ting pitifully.

Xiao Yang saw this and couldn’t help but smirk disdainfully. Qin Fei was playing the victim again.

“Miss Jiang, who will you choose?” Ming He asked smugly.

“Senior Brother…” Jiang Ting bit her lip and looked up at Xiao Yang.

“Junior Sister, you finally made the right choice!” Song Qiang was overjoyed.

“I’m sorry…”

Before Jiang Ting could finish her sentence, Song Qiang froze completely.

Lin Wangchuan also looked at her in utter disbelief.

The other disciples of the Azure Sun Sword Sect were equally shocked.

Everyone knew about the childhood bond between Senior Brother and Junior Sister. Could it be that their years of companionship were nothing compared to Qin Fei, who appeared out of nowhere?

Xiao Yang wasn’t surprised at all. The moment he saw the way Jiang Ting looked at him, he already knew who she would choose.

In both his past life and this one, Jiang Ting had only ever chosen Qin Fei.

Qin Fei smiled smugly, his eyes full of triumph as he glanced provocatively at Xiao Yang.

“So boring.” Xiao Yang suddenly laughed.
