Chapter 512: 386, Joint plan, all members gather in Red Heart City, [Power King] Slo_2
"In any case, this Wilderness Guardian extermination battle can only be undertaken by you, me, Isa, and three adventure teams,"
"The best scenario would be facing five Iron Level teams from Red Heart City."
"The worst-case scenario... as soon as the Scarlet Adventure Group appears, we might as well not fight and just withdraw."
"What? Withdraw what?"
"It means we'd go back where we came from."
"But how can that be, I can definitely persuade Dawen to come back!"
Looking at Lia's stubborn little face, Lin Da sighed.
In public, Dawen represented the Scarlet Adventure Group; how could he possibly concede to Lia, a "person from White Dove City"?
Not disciplining Lia thoroughly would be considered merciful on Dawen's part.
A little while later, the carriage returned to the Inner City District.
The streets here were spacious and clean, lined with lavishly decorated shops selling fashionable clothing at "Elf's Home", finely brewed wheat beers at "Tyrannosaurus Tavern", and the "Shadow Magic House" that couples loved.
Lin Da glanced around casually and noticed two loli holding milk teas hand in hand as they entered a Magic Guide Gaming Center.
"Hope Monica hasn't been led astray," Lin Da sighed to himself.
Lia was still lost in thought about the 15th-level extermination battle and finally said, "Can't we let Tasya join the fight? With a Moon rank adventurer present, seven Iron Level teams wouldn't be a problem right?"
Very few knew that Tasya was at Moon Rank, including the entire Snow Goose.
Lin Da shook his head again:
"No, the 'Red Heart Thief' Alajie is famously formidable; although not as much as Rocher from Holy Rock, his long-standing fame means his combat power is definitely higher than Tasya's.
The 'Red Heart Adventure Group' has more than one Moon Rank, and if Tasya takes action, it would become a battle between Moon ranks. That would actually be disadvantageous for us."
"What should we do then..." Lia was at a loss.
With just their three adventure teams, in the best case, they might handle five Iron Level teams from Red Heart City, and in the worst case, seven... Moreover, the Wilderness Guardian wasn't going to be easy to defeat either.
Lia was overwhelmed; there seemed no hope of winning this battle!
"But we must still contend for what we must," said Lin Da calmly. "If they only have five teams, we might not necessarily lose. On average, each of us would only need to take on 1.7 adventurers from Red Heart City. The people from Phoenix Tail can manage that."
Lia was invigorated: "So can the people from Snow Goose!"
"So, we won't back down in this battle."
Lin Da said coldly: "Last time in the 10th level of the Great Mystery Continent, we already made enemies with the adventurers from Red Heart City. On the 15th level, we can't and won't retreat! Even if we give up on the Wilderness Guardian and retreat to the resource area, the people from Red Heart City will still attack us!"
Between the two sides, there was only the option of a battle.
Lin Da snapped the reins and drove the carriage towards the Ice Flower Adventure Team's villa like lightning.
There were only seven days left until the opening of the 15th level of the Great Mystery Continent.
They had to make their final preparations in these seven days,
...
Red Heart City, in a penthouse suite, Fry and other Iron Level adventure team captains gathered.
Fry, in a sleek tailcoat and adjusting his gold-framed glasses, let a confident smile play on his lips:
"Good, except for the conceited Scarlet Adventure Group, everyone is here. The dignity of Red Heart City's adventurers is at stake; however much we differ normally, we must unite at times like this."
At a revolving glass round table sat four adventurers of distinct demeanor and different races, but all possessing a powerful aura.
Captain of the Claws of Tomorrow Adventure Team, 'Coyote' Wol, level 35.
Captain of the Purple-White Adventure Team, 'Flower Messenger' Celina, level 34.
Captain of the Thunder and Lightning Adventure Team, 'Swift Shadow' Timo, level 34.
And... Captain of the Tyrannosaurus Adventure Team, 'Power King' Slo, level 36!
"I've seen the notice from the Adventurers' Guild, and here's the deal" after we defeat the Wilderness Guardian, the Demon Core goes to me, 'Power King', and I get first pick of the equipment. If you agree to these terms, I'll cooperate with you; otherwise, forget it."
Slo said gruffly.
This was a nearly two and a half meter tall Black man with a head full of dirty dreadlocks. He was hunched over, focusing intently on clipping his nails with arms thicker than a girl's waist.
Fry squinted at Slo, taking deep breaths to calm the throbbing veins on his forehead.
Looking around at Coyote Wol and the others, none wanted to get within two meters of Slo.
Wol, Timo, and Celina huddled together like close friends, while Slo took up all the remaining space.
The reason was none other than Slo, the 'Power King', who had made it to the cover of Adventurer's Weekly twice with his fierce combat record: single-handedly tearing apart an Epic Level one-star Slime King and leading his team in a fierce battle against a three-star Epic Level Earth Dragon...
Slo was robust, with offensive and defensive capabilities far exceeding most adventurers. Aside from his slightly weaker agility, he could almost be described as a humanoid monster.
His potential had been highly recognized by Adventurer's Weekly, earning a rating of eight stars. He had even gotten a ticket to the Ice Abyss Training Camp last summer.
"I saw that Lin Da's performance in the exhibition match," Slo casually mentioned as he blew debris off his nail clipper. "Replacing Lin Da and becoming a nine-star potential student at the Ice Abyss Training Camp is something I'm very interested in."
"That's all I have to say. You guys can have your strategy meeting. I need to go back to my cat."
With that, Slo stood up swiftly, his two and a half meter tall stature creating a gust of wind.
As he passed by Fry, Slo's hand, large as a fan, patted him on the shoulder. "Give it your all."
Fry's mouth twitched as he looked up into Slo's cold eyes, forcibly suppressing his desire to vent.
The others were also silently enraged until Slo had been gone for a minute, at which point Timo, unsatisfied, banged on the glass table with his brown furry hands:
"That Black man is too arrogant! He picks the spoils first, claims the Demon Core, and won't even attend the strategy meeting... How can there be such a low-quality adventurer!"
Celina rolled her eyes and sarcastically said, "Dear little brother Timo, why didn't you say what's on your mind when Slo was here?"
"Of course it's because..."
"Enough, all of you stop arguing!" Wol said sternly. "Slo is indeed annoying, but his combat power is undeniable. With him, our chances against the adventure teams from White Dove City are almost certain. You've seen the combat abilities of that Lin Da along with Lia and Isa. One-on-one, none of us can beat them!"
Ever since their visit to White Dove City to watch the exhibition match, these four Iron Level team captains had been losing sleep.
Whether it was the thick-skinned Lin Da who also knew Healing Art, or Lia and Isa with their exquisite swordsmanship, whether they could last fifty rounds one-on-one against these three was uncertain.
Veteran adventurers had a significant advantage: they were very aware of their own capabilities and knew who they could fight and who they couldn't.

"But Slo can do it."
Fry sighed helplessly. "Slo has the right to be arrogant. Although Adventurer's Weekly only rates his potential at eight stars, he's a pure combat-type adventurer."
In contrast, Lin Da's nine-star rating is actually quite hollow, factoring in his ability to devise strategies, support capabilities, and his charm attracting beautiful female teammates...
It's a comprehensive nine-star potential rating.
Discussing purely combat ability, Slo, who can single-handedly crush the Slime King, is far stronger than Lin Da."
"Well then..."
Even though Timo felt extremely unsatisfied, he could only snort in response. Slo's character might be terrible, but his strength was proportionally formidable, and the four of them at Star Rank combined might not even defeat Slo.
Fry looked around at everyone and said seriously, "It doesn't matter other times, but now that the Great Mystery Continent's 15th layer is opening, we must unite.
This showdown isn't just being eagerly awaited by adventurers from Red Heart City; those guys from South Rock City are also watching from the shoreline, likely to re-evaluate our status compared to White Dove City through this fight.
Once those guys feel we are inferior to White Dove City... well, you know the consequences. The past plight of White Dove City will be the future of Red Heart City.
South Rock City will definitely team up with White Dove City, prying open our gates and strolling around our resource areas as they please!
For an adventurer, this is even more humiliating than having our wives taken by the Black-skinned Orcs!"
With their interests at stake, Wol and the others all showed serious faces.
Fry raised his teacup, substituting it for wine: "For Red Heart City!"
Wol, Celina, and Timo stood up, differing greatly in height, but together they raised their glasses.
Their voices united: "For Red Heart City!"
