Akame ga Kill: Starting with Dual Kamui

The principle was the same as "Kamui Shuriken"—both belonged to the same type of ability. In theory, Blayn could also imbue his black and white dual swords with the power of Kamui if he wished.

However, borrowing Kurome's "Yatsufusa" allowed him to achieve two goals at once—earning System Points while also adding the Super-Class Danger Beast, Death Tagool, to Yatsufusa's ranks.

Wielding the Kamui-enhanced Yatsufusa, Blayn slashed directly at Death Tagool, who was still in hibernation. The blade, imbued with Kamui's power, tore through the beast's incredibly hard bones with ease—what was once an impenetrable defense now crumbled like brittle paper.

The sudden injury jolted Death Tagool awake, but before it could react, its massive skull was severed in a single strike.

Kurome's eyes widened in shock. She knew just how formidable Super-Class Danger Beasts like Death Tagool were—their destructive energy waves could alter terrain, and their skeletal bodies had no discernible weak points.

Her Yatsufusa was primarily used for summoning corpse puppets; its sharpness was far from exceptional among weapon-type Teigus. For Blayn to decapitate such a beast so effortlessly was beyond her comprehension.

Was he somehow more compatible with Yatsufusa than she was, able to draw out a strength she never could?

"Attack together!"

Pushing aside her surprise, Kurome commanded her corpse puppets to strike.

Though Death Tagool was not particularly resilient compared to some other Danger Beasts, decapitation alone wasn't enough to guarantee its death. The corpse puppets, summoned before Blayn borrowed Yatsufusa, still followed Kurome's orders.

However, their attacks barely made a dent—the beast's defenses remained nearly impenetrable.

Fortunately, having just awakened from hibernation, Death Tagool was far weaker than usual. With its head severed, it had little ability to fight back.

Blayn, on the other hand, was cutting through it with ease. His first strike had taken its head, and his second cleanly severed its right arm.

Realizing that Blayn's attacks were by far the most effective, Kurome swiftly called out, "Its only weakness is the heart! Destroy it, and you'll kill it for good!"

She had thoroughly researched Death Tagool before the hunt, ensuring she understood its abilities, habits, and weaknesses.

Upon hearing her words, Blayn reversed his grip and drove his blade straight into Death Tagool's chest. No matter how thick or sturdy its bones were, they stood no chance against Kamui Yatsufusa.

The moment his blade pierced through, he felt the presence of a massive, pulsating heart—one brimming with life.

But in an instant, that life was snuffed out.

As the notification rang out, the black incantations of Yatsufusa seeped into Death Tagool's body. In the blink of an eye, the once-dead beast stirred again—resurrected.

Death Tagool was no longer an enemy; it was now a part of Yatsufusa.

Blayn returned the weapon to Kurome.

"Thanks. If it weren't for you, I would have had to pay a heavy price," she said sincerely.

"No big deal," Blayn replied casually.

On the surface, he looked unfazed—completely unharmed. In reality, both his body and eye power had been pushed to their limits.

Kamui Enchantment was an incredibly draining ability, far more exhausting than simple Intangibility or Spatial Transfer. Each swing of his blade consumed his energy at an alarming rate.

After just three strikes, he was already nearing his limit.

He sighed inwardly—maybe he had gone a little overboard trying to show off. That said, Kamui Enchantment had undoubtedly been the best method for the situation.

At least he had gained 50 System Points—it was a worthwhile trade. After all, his stamina and eye power would recover on their own, but System Points wouldn't accumulate automatically.

"Commander... your eyes are bleeding…"

Kurome's voice suddenly pulled him from his thoughts.

"Huh?"

Blayn raised a hand to his face and wiped beneath his eye. Sure enough, his fingers came away stained with fresh blood.

He must not have noticed it until Kurome pointed it out.

Compared to the sharp pain in his eyes and the slight blurring of his vision, the bleeding was trivial. The pain alone overshadowed the sensation of blood trickling down his face.

Fortunately, his regenerative abilities would gradually restore his vision and ease the discomfort.

"You really pushed yourself too hard using two Teigus at once, didn't you?" Kurome asked, her concern evident.

"I'm fine, don't worry," Blayn said with a faint smile.

He couldn't exactly explain the details of his "Dual Kamui" ability.

Kurome, however, didn't seem convinced. Taking out a white handkerchief, she gently wiped away the lingering blood beneath his eyes.

"Commander, don't push yourself like that again. Leave the rest to me," she said.

"Alright," Blayn nodded slightly.

At the same time, he accessed the system menu in his mind.

She walked over to Death Tagool and attempted a slash of her own.

The result was clear—her strike barely scratched the surface, leaving only a shallow mark on its bone.

Even without using her full strength, she knew that even at her best, she could never achieve the effortless, razor-sharp cuts that Blayn had displayed.

This only confirmed that if Blayn hadn't been there, hunting this Super-Class Danger Beast would have come at a steep cost for her. At the very least, she would have had to rely heavily on recovery drugs.

"Commander Blayn, how did you manage to cut through its bones so easily? Could it be that you're actually more suited to be Yatsufusa's wielder than I am?"

She turned to him, unable to suppress her curiosity any longer.
