All Beautiful Girls Want to Stick with Me

Chapter 304: A Father’s Silhouette

Kotomi relentlessly struck Shika with the black umbrella. One moment she smashed it down, the next she jabbed with its tip, and every attack carried her full strength. Even Kotomi was shocked at how formidable her "Queen of All Females" had made her in a fight.

Already emotionally charged from the ongoing serial murder case, Kotomi had been overcome by a sudden sense of danger, prompting her to sprint toward Iroha's home. What she saw upon arriving—a man armed with a knife advancing toward Iroha—snapped her final thread of rationality. The surge of power she unleashed caught the killer completely off guard, sending him flying.

Though Shika wielded a knife and Kotomi merely had an umbrella, she managed to utterly dominate him in the fight. The umbrella's sturdy frame acted like a steel club, landing blows that echoed with the sound of flesh tearing. His screams of pain filled the air as Kotomi's relentless strikes reduced him to a bloody mess.

For the first time since her rebirth, Kotomi found herself consumed by a singular determination—to kill someone.

At this moment, even if the police arrived, they couldn't have stopped her. All her strength, amplified by her unusual physique, was focused on beating the man senseless.

With a sharp cracking sound, the black umbrella's shaft and frame finally broke apart. The item Kotomi had spent 6,754 yen on—a prized black umbrella with a crimson emblem—was destroyed.

Panting heavily, Kotomi tossed aside the bloodied remains of the umbrella, now resembling a crimson weapon. Shika lay on the ground, barely clinging to consciousness. If the umbrella hadn't broken, Kotomi might have beaten him to death.

"Senpai…" Iroha stared at the scene, wide-eyed. It was the first time she had seen Kotomi so furious.

The sheer rage that distorted Kotomi's usually beautiful face into something almost unrecognizable was terrifying. Yet, Iroha didn't feel fear. Instead, her eyes welled up with tears of gratitude.

A girl had risked everything for her.

Kotomi, still catching her breath, walked toward Iroha and knelt down. She wrapped her arms tightly around her, pulling her into a protective embrace.

"Iroha, it's over now… everything's okay," Kotomi murmured.

"Mm!" Iroha felt the warmth of Kotomi's hug, her eyes sparkling with tears. Her small fists lightly pounded against Kotomi's chest as she sobbed, "Senpai, you almost killed him! What if you ended up in prison? What would I do then?!"

Hearing Iroha's heartfelt words, Kotomi began to calm down. She replied softly, "As long as you're safe. If anything had happened to you, I would've made him pay with his life."

Iroha's cheeks flushed as she leaned her head against Kotomi's chest. "You're so unfair, Senpai… saying things like this at a time like this."

What would happen if I really fell for you? This thought crossed Iroha's mind but remained unspoken.

Kotomi could feel Iroha's slender body trembling slightly against her own. The warmth of her soft frame, her clean, fragrant hair, and her subtly sweet scent made Kotomi's thoughts momentarily wander.

"Senpai, look out behind you!" Iroha suddenly shouted, her voice full of alarm.

Shika, who had been beaten within an inch of his life, was struggling to his feet. His rain- and mud-smeared face was now a gruesome mess of blood and torn flesh, making him look utterly horrifying.

"Why the hell isn't this scumbag out cold?" Kotomi grumbled. She prepared to stand and grab a nearby fallen branch with its tip sharp and pointed, to finish him off.

But as she tried to rise, Kotomi suddenly realized that her legs were trembling with the exhaustion of having pushed herself to her physical limits.

Normally, with her "Queen of All Females" title, Kotomi shouldn't experience fatigue, but she had completely overexerted herself just now, having been running nonstop for a long time.

Kotomi shielded Iroha behind her and shouted in a low voice, "I'll hold him off. Run as far as you can, and once you're safe, call the police!"

"I can't just leave you behind, Senpai! We'll go together!"

Iroha declared resolutely, scooping up the exhausted Kotomi and running in the opposite direction. She remembered that there was a police patrol station not far away.

If they could just reach it, they would be safe!

"Damn it... I can't believe I was ambushed. I'm so angry!"

Shika, clutching his bloodied and mangled face, forced himself off the ground and grabbed the knife that had fallen nearby.

Carrying the utterly drained Kotomi, Iroha sprinted down the street with all her strength.

The chase began. While Iroha was not particularly athletic, carrying Kotomi quickly drained her stamina. Her heart pounded furiously, and each breath seemed to sap her strength even further.

Behind them, Shika swung the knife and wore a crazed smile as he chased after the fleeing girls. He felt a twisted sense of satisfaction, like a predator in a primeval jungle reigning over all living things.

The sound of Shika's unhinged screams and rapid footsteps echoed behind them. Iroha didn't dare look back. Her only thought was to reach the patrol station.

Just as Shika was about to catch up, raising his knife to strike—

The sound of a blade plunging into flesh resounded.

Neither Iroha nor Kotomi felt any pain. Instinctively, they turned to look back.

A middle-aged man stood behind them, shielding them with his body. Shika's knife had plunged into the man's abdomen. The man gritted his teeth, his eyes bulging with pain as though they might pop out, but he clamped down hard on Shika's knife-wielding wrist, refusing to let go.

"Dad?!" Iroha shouted when she recognized the silhouette of the man.

Gritting his teeth through the searing pain, Tetsunosuke Isshiki turned his head slightly toward her. "Iroha, don't be scared. Dad will protect you. Run!"

Before he could finish speaking, the sound of screeching car tires and blaring police sirens pierced the air.

"What?" Shika looked around in shock, seeing numerous police cars closing in from all directions.

How did the police find him so quickly?!

Shika couldn't fathom how they had tracked him down so fast, but he didn't have time to figure it out.

In the next moment, Officer Yukki fired a shot that pierced Shika's left leg. The knife fell from his hand as he collapsed into a pool of blood, clutching his wound.

"Bastard! I finally caught you! What a pity that shot earlier didn't blow your head off!" Officer Yukki yelled as he stomped on Shika's face and cuffed his hands tightly.

The series of murders finally came to an end with Shika's capture.

"Call an ambulance, now!" Officer Hidari commanded, organizing the scene and instructing one of the officers to call for emergency medical services. She then rushed over to administer first aid to Tetsunosuke Isshiki, attempting to stop the bleeding.

Kotomi, who had gotten off of Iroha's back, was barely able to stand even with Iroha supporting her.

I really shouldn't push my body to the limit like this again. One slip-up and I could have been at his mercy, Kotomi thought with lingering fear.

"Get him back to the police car. Tonight, I'm going to interrogate him thoroughly," Officer Yukki barked, handing Shika over to two officers.

Kotomi glared coldly at Shika, her expression dark as she recalled Officer Hidari's earlier words.

Even if he committed murder, there's no guarantee he'll face the death penalty. He might get life imprisonment, or even have his sentence reduced to a fixed term.

I hope you die in agony, Kotomi growled silently, her teeth clenched.

As if responding to her unspoken wish, Shika suddenly broke free from the officers holding him, as though a burst of unnatural strength had surged through him. He shoved them aside and twisted his body in an almost grotesque manner, sprinting away like a madman.

"Damn it!"

Officer Yukki cursed loudly, leading a team of officers in pursuit, his pistol aimed at the back of Shika's head.

But just as Shika reached the base of a utility pole, his feet seemed to freeze in place, as if nailed to the ground. He struggled desperately, but couldn't move an inch.

"What the hell? Why can't I move my legs?!"

Behind him, the utility pole began to wobble violently, creaking ominously. With an earsplitting screech, the heavy pole toppled over and crashed directly onto Shika.

A cloud of dust rose, and amidst the deafening sound of the pole collapsing, a brief, piercing scream echoed before falling silent.

When the dust settled, Officer Yukki, covering his nose, stepped forward to inspect the scene. After a glance, he waved at the officers behind him.

"Call the medical examiner. It's over. He's as dead as it gets. His entire body was crushed, and the bones are sticking out of his back."

The ambulance arrived just in time, taking the knife-wounded Tetsunosuke Isshiki to the hospital.

"I know telling you not to worry about your father's injury won't help, so I'll take you to the hospital," Officer Hidari said to Iroha.

"Thank you," Iroha replied, nodding as she helped Kotomi into Officer Hidari's car.
