Amazzone system

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: The Lightning Vessel

Lu Fan continued his practice, pushing his body further than ever before. However, this time, something unexpected happened—his spleen underwent a transformation. A hidden space opened within it, forming a storage area where all the electricity he absorbed was now being collected. It was as if his body had created a personal power bank, allowing him to harness and store the electric energy he had been cultivating.

Curious about the limits of this newfound ability, Lu Fan focused on expanding his electric storage capacity. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Five months later, he felt his spleen had reached its maximum storage limit. No matter how much more he absorbed, it couldn't take in any more energy.

But his body wasn't done adapting. As he continued practicing, he realized that his body was instinctively searching for new places to store electricity. One by one, his other organs followed the same transformation as his spleen. His liver, kidneys, lungs, eyes, and even his heart all developed their own inner storage spaces for electricity.

This discovery opened new doors for him. If he could increase his electricity production, he could further refine his training. Searching for a more powerful energy source, Lu Fan ventured deeper into the forest and found a massive waterfall. Recognizing its potential, he decided to build a large-scale power grid to harness its energy.

With his new power station in place, Lu Fan doubled his training time, now practicing 12 hours a day to refine and expand his electricity storage spaces. His body, once just a martial artist's, was evolving into something far beyond the limits of ordinary humans.

As two years passed, his entire body became a vessel for electricity. His organs, muscles, bones, and even his bone marrow were saturated with electric energy. And yet—he still hadn't stepped into the innate martial realm.

Despite reaching a point no martial artist had ever reached, he remained at the peak of mortal cultivation, unable to take that final step. What was missing? What was preventing his breakthrough?

Lu Fan knew that the answer was close—but he had to find it himself.

As Lu Fan pondered his situation, he realized that his body had changed too drastically compared to traditional martial artists. The innate realm was supposed to be a breakthrough in one's internal energy flow, yet his body didn't rely on qi like others—it relied on electricity. Could it be that he needed a completely different method to step into the innate realm? Perhaps, instead of following conventional cultivation techniques, he had to find a way to ignite the stored electricity within his body, unleashing its full potential.

If that were true, then the key to his breakthrough lay in activating the electricity stored within his organs all at once—turning himself into a true human lightning conductor. But how could he do that without destroying his body?

Lu Fan knew that he needed help—or at least needed to see an innate martial artist in action—to understand how to break through. Since he was isolated in the valley with no access to high-level techniques, he decided to visit the city in search of answers.

To fund his journey, he purchased silver bars from Amazzone, ensuring he had enough wealth to survive comfortably. Then, after preparing his supplies, he set out from the valley, traveling through the dense forest toward Baihu City. Having traveled these routes before during his time with the Tiger Escort Agency, he was familiar with the terrain and avoided major dangers along the way.

Upon reaching Baihu City, Lu Fan checked into an inn, choosing a modest but decent place to stay. He knew he had to be careful—he had once been part of the Tiger Escort Agency, and if someone recognized him, it could cause unnecessary trouble. However, the chances were low. His appearance had changed drastically; his body was now built like an iron tower, completely different from the frail guard he had been before.

For now, his plan was simple: stay low, observe, and try to find clues about innate martial arts. While eating at the inn's dining hall, he overheard a conversation among some locals. Apparently, Baihu City was facing an unusual problem—a ghost trouble had been plaguing the city, and people were growing restless.

Lu Fan listened carefully to the discussions around him. The diners at nearby tables spoke in hushed but urgent tones, their faces pale with unease.

"I heard another person went missing last night," one man said, glancing around nervously. "That makes it the fifth this month. The city guards searched everywhere but found nothing—no bodies, no clues."

"It must be a ghost!" an older man whispered. "Normal criminals leave traces. This thing? It's like people are just vanishing into thin air."

A younger man scoffed but still looked uneasy. "If it's really a ghost, why hasn't the city lord hired a Daoist priest or an exorcist? Surely, someone in Baihu City knows how to deal with spirits."

"Who says he hasn't?" another person muttered. "Two exorcists have already come—and both disappeared within a week."

Lu Fan frowned. This wasn't normal. Whether it was a ghost, a martial artist, or something else entirely, he wasn't sure. But one thing was clear—the people of Baihu City were terrified.

As he continued eating, his mind started working. A ghostly disturbance might attract innate martial artists or powerful cultivators. If he stayed and investigated, he might not only learn something useful but also witness an innate martial artist in action.

With that thought, he made his decision—he would look into the ghost trouble himself.
