"Kid, I suggest you take back what you just said!"

Graves, exhaling a puff of indigo smoke, pointed the barrel of Destiny at Link Star, his gaze filled with hostility.

"A well-matched gun is like a virtuous wife. You can insult me, but you can't insult my wife!"

Link Star remained indifferent.

In the game, due to mechanics, Graves' Destiny seemed powerful, but in reality, it was just an ordinary double-barreled shotgun. Link Star wasn't impressed.

At best, it was a firearm with an exaggerated caliber, more gunpowder in the ammunition, but nothing special beyond that.

"So, is that why you keep hanging around with Twisted Fate instead of finding a wife?"

Link Star teased, crossing his arms leisurely while tapping his left bicep with his right hand. Meanwhile, his drones aimed directly at the rugged man.

"I don't have time to mess around with you!" Graves shifted the cigar in his mouth, exhaled another puff of indigo smoke, and tightened his grip on the trigger. The hammer of Destiny was slightly raised, ready to fire at any moment.

"If you won't apologize, then I'll feed you to the fish."

Link Star tilted his head and clicked his tongue. "I really don't understand how Twisted Fate puts up with your way of thinking—reckless, arrogant, and completely irrational."

"Twist doesn't need to put up with it. He just needs to play along," Graves stepped forward. The moment his foot hit the ground, Link Star shook his head. "Forget it. Talking to someone like you is a complete waste of my time."

"Besides, what gives you the confidence that you can beat me?"

As Link Star grinned, something snapped in Graves' mind. Before he could pull the trigger completely, the hammer of Destiny was instantly severed by a flash of light.

It was as if a pair of scissors had neatly trimmed off an unnecessary branch of a flower.

The hammer of Destiny, under Graves' shocked gaze, spun through the air and flew away.

At that same moment, another flash of light flickered through the air.

This time, the target was Destiny itself.

The barrel of the shotgun snapped off and clattered onto the ground with a light clang. The wooden stock was charred by the energy beam, turning black.

Apart from the ammo chamber remaining intact, Destiny was now nothing more than a relic of the past.

"M-My... Destiny... My..." Graves' mouth hung open as his cigar fell from his lips, forgotten. He simply stared blankly at the remains of his prized weapon, cut apart by the energy beam.

The rugged man's lips twitched, veins bulging on his forehead as he dropped the broken gun, spread his arms wide, and lunged at Link Star.

"I'LL KILL YOU—"

The moment Graves roared like thunder, Link Star casually placed a hand on his forehead, effortlessly lifting him into the air before slamming him heavily onto the ground.

Graves' eyes bulged, his pupils dilating as he opened his mouth in a silent scream of agony.

He felt as if his spine had been shattered by the impact.

As Link Star idly flicked his fingers, the drones returned to their base.

This weapons test had been a complete success. Now, he could proceed with mass-producing drones to deal with Harrowing Night.

In his previous life, military warfare had undergone a revolution thanks to drones. In this world, he could do the same—bringing the shock of an otherworldly technology to Runeterra.

The drones returned to their Hive, quickly reverting to a suitcase-like form as Link Star closed the Queen Controller and stowed it away.

Shaking out his right hand, Link Star placed his foot on Graves' chest, looking down at him with a mocking smirk.

"I really don't know who gave you the courage to challenge me."

"You damned pink-faced brat, I—MMPH!" Graves couldn't finish his insult because Link Star had shoved a Hextech Revolver straight into his mouth, jamming it down his throat.

"Watch your words, Graves."

"I'm already giving you an immense amount of mercy because I see potential in you. Don't mistake my patience and kindness for weakness—otherwise, I won't hesitate to use my new invention to blow your head to pieces."

Graves glared at Link Star, his teeth clamping down on the gun barrel as if trying to bite it in half.

"Don't bother," Link Star remarked casually. "This Hextech Revolver's casing is made from a new material, far tougher than steel. Even if you break all your teeth, you won't even scratch the surface."

Graves' eyes still burned with fury. Seeing this stubborn fool's reaction, Link Star sighed and pulled the gun from his mouth before taking a step back.

To recruit someone like Graves, he needed both strength and the right strategy.

What did Graves care about most?

The Dead Pool Casino?

Possibly.

Endless cigars?

Perhaps.

The companionship of Twisted Fate?

Probably.

But in Link Star's eyes, what this man cared about most... was his gun.

Just as he had said—Destiny was his wife, something even Twisted Fate couldn't touch.

"You pink-faced brat—" Graves pushed himself up, spitting out a bloody wad of saliva as he rolled up his sleeves, striding toward Link Star with menace.

Link Star raised his Hextech Revolver and fired at the ground beside them.

The moment the bullet struck, it split apart and shattered the pavement into a honeycomb-like mess.

Seeing this, Graves froze mid-step. And when Link Star aimed the revolver directly at him, the rage in his eyes faded like a receding tide.

He was reckless and quick-tempered, sure—but he wasn't stupid.

Especially when it came to guns.

At first, Link Star's Hextech Revolver had seemed like an odd-looking weapon with no special features.

But after seeing it in action—a silent shot, a bullet that split upon impact and caused wide-area damage—Graves realized something.

His Destiny was completely outclassed.

The fire in his heart suddenly dimmed.

Twisted Fate always said: As long as the mountain stands, there will always be firewood.

Twisted Fate also said: Running away isn't shameful—it's smart.

Now that Graves thought about it, he realized he'd been tricked.

Last night, when Orco and the other gang leaders came to him, he should have run immediately.

But the money was too good. The things they said were too convincing. He got pulled in.

If he had known things would turn out this way, he never would've taken the job.

Graves' eyes darted toward the waterway behind him. His body was covered in anti-fish repellent, so if he could just make a break for the water—

"If you're thinking about jumping in to escape, go ahead and try," Link Star said, reloading his revolver. "But let me remind you—this gun has a range of 500 meters."

"And thanks to its Alchemical Ammo, it ignores air and water resistance entirely."

To prove his point, Link Star fired into the water.

The bullet created a bowl-sized hole in the surface before splitting apart like a blooming iron flower, turning the waterway into a bloodbath.

Countless Mad Dog Sharks and Razor Eels were caught in the blast, turning the water red and attracting even more predators.

"You see?" Link Star smirked. "This ammo doesn't just penetrate water—it causes massive splash damage too."

"My revolver holds eight rounds. I just used one, so that means—"

The young man tilted his chin at Graves.

"You know what to do."

Graves sighed, reluctantly raising his hands. "Last night, Orco brought One-Eyed Tully, Quickblade Matthew, Butcher Fett, and the others to me. They said they wanted to rob some rich, arrogant Piltover guy, so I agreed."

"Do you know I put a bounty on you and Twisted Fate?"

Graves' eyes widened. "YOU put a bounty on us?"

"I killed Gangplank yesterday."

Graves' face turned red with rage. "You WHAT?! And you didn't say anything?!"

Link Star gave him a look that said: Are you stupid?

Graves opened his mouth, muttered something under his breath, then sighed in defeat.

"Fine. I lost."
