Chapter 433: CHAPTER 433 - Dominator Mech: Beast

In the blink of an eye, several days had passed, and the time for Li Lin and Kai'Sa to confront Bel'Veth was drawing near.

During this time, Li Lin had intentionally leaked a message through the Piltover newspaper, claiming he had captured two assassins from Noxus, who were now imprisoned in the dungeon.

In addition, he had asked Cassandra, who was already enraged by these two assassins sent specifically to target him and Kiramman, to publicly condemn Noxus.

Recently, Cassandra had convened a council meeting to discuss how to address such atrocious acts. However, aside from Mel and Heimerdinger, the other four councilors, though furious, were not willing to sever ties with Noxus. They were hoping that if Noxus apologized, they would return these two somewhat important figures, which caused Cassandra to curse them privately every day.

Already irritated, Cassandra immediately agreed to Li Lin's suggestion and used diplomatic rhetoric to launch a public attack on Noxus, stirring up anger among the people of Piltover and even Zaun.

Swain had yet to respond.

Li Lin was unsure of Swain's plans, but he knew that even if Swain were preparing to form the League of Legends, the fact that he had sent Katarina and Talon meant they would have to pay a price to get them back.

But at that moment, Li Lin had no time to deal with such trivial matters.

Since Swain had yet to show any response and Katarina and Talon were unlikely to escape the strict guard of the mechanical soldiers, drones, and the aerial combat mechs—the Storm—he decided to leave them locked up for now.

Afterwards, Li Lin briefed Caitlyn and headed to one of his large automated forging factories in Zaun.

The materials for constructing the massive mecha were already prepared, and he was ready to begin building the Dominator Mech: Beast, code-named M2.

In the Mecha Universe, the Dominator Mech: Beast was a colossal two-part fortress with incomprehensibly powerful fists capable of punching holes in thick titanium alloy armor with just a light strike.

Additionally, it could transform into a planetary drill machine, with its enormous drill bit able to easily pierce any rock and, theoretically, could reach the planet's core.

This was the first true large-scale melee mecha in the "Dominion Plan," designed primarily to deal with new and powerful monsters, acting as the ultimate defense against deep-sea behemoths.

However, even so, the Dominator Mech: Beast had never truly defeated the monster that emerged from the sea fissures, codenamed Urgot. Even the drill bit capable of piercing a planet's surface could do little against the massive exoskeleton of this creature, which could barely be considered a "biological" entity.

Of course, these results were based on the technology tree of the Mecha parallel universe. If it were Li Lin's current technology, a material disintegration cannon would easily break through Urgot's thick shell, no matter how strong it was at the microscopic level.

Li Lin modified the design of the Dominator Mech: Beast, keeping its basic appearance and transformation functions intact while incorporating more advanced technology he had mastered.

For example, the original design featured an unstable nuclear fusion reactor core that could only achieve fusion at high temperatures. However, with the right materials at his disposal, Li Lin was able to achieve a more stable, efficient, and safer fusion under high-pressure conditions.

He replaced the original compressed alloy armor with the toughest zero-element synthetic material available and added a layer of Hextech armor plating to the outer shell.

The energy core still used a thermonuclear fusion reactor, which was currently the most efficient energy source Li Lin had access to, providing a continuous supply of power.

Moreover, the Dominator Mech: Beast was primarily a melee machine, a "brute-force" type, with its main offensive capabilities being its dual "thermal energy piercing drill fists." Its long-range offensive capabilities were limited.

Its most impressive weapon was similar to the way Malphite could hurl rocks as "Earthquake Shards." The mech would throw a folding, circular blade at its target. Additionally, the dual fists could switch to dual plasma cannon barrels, launching plasma projectiles.

These weapons were sufficient to deal with a deep-sea behemoth, but they wouldn't be enough to confront the Ascended, demigods, or Bel'Veth.

After modifying the mech, Li Lin installed multiple quantum explosive bombs and material projection cannon ports under its armor, and equipped mini-tracking plasma cannons on the back. The original dual plasma cannon barrels were replaced with a single large-caliber energy particle spear.

The dual thermal energy piercing drill fists were retained, as they were essential for the mech's transformation and its ability to dig into the ground. Without them, the mech's underground capabilities would be severely reduced.

In addition, since the Dominator Mech: Beast resembled Malphite, its head was positioned near the chest area, with the spiked sections above the head designed to pierce through enemies during unstoppable charges, using kinetic energy.

As the Dominator Mech: Beast was primarily designed for direct combat, its energy core had to be located on the back, preventing it from having an assembly that could extend a massive cannon like the mechanical giant Gaboga. However, this was not a problem, as Li Lin did not plan to equip such a slow-charging, long-range strategic weapon on a mecha intended for close combat.

After a moment of thought, inspired by the Elemental Dragon's breath attack, Li Lin decided to install a large-caliber material disintegration cannon in the mech's mouth, which could extend outward.

Of course, anti-gravity technology and powerful pulse engines were indispensable.

After two weeks of work, with assistance from the AI and mechanical laborers, Li Lin finally completed all the assembly modules for the Dominator Mech: Beast.

Due to system criteria, the mech's components were transmitted to the Piltover Mountain range for reassembly before being returned to the construction base, triggering the reward notification:

[Congratulations! You have created the Dominator Mech: Beast (Epic)!]

[First-time creation reward: Level up by 3 levels, 50 skill points, 5000 blue essence, 500 orange essence.]

[Your level has been raised to Level 83, and you have gained 3 skill points.]

"Just as expected, after reaching level 60, leveling up became slower, and it slowed even further at level 70, with the pace at level 80 being much slower still," Li Lin mused, relaxing in his office chair and rubbing his chin, his attention fixed on the system panel's notifications.

If it were in the level range of 60 to 70, it wouldn't be a problem to raise a large, epic-quality mech by at least 7 or 8 levels on my own. But now, I've only managed to increase it by 3 levels…

Li Lin sighed. It's normal for leveling to slow down as one advances to higher levels.

Moreover, after diving deeper into quantum theory, he was increasingly certain that his system was a product combining the final gift from his home planet and the protection from the Runeterra. The fact that it was able to level up in this manner was already impressive, and he couldn't expect too much more.

With a slight adjustment to his mindset, Li Lin quickly put his worries aside, his excitement and enthusiasm clearly evident.

[Do you want to test the Dominator Mech · Beast now?]

"Do you even need to ask that?"

Li Lin was already covered by the Infinite Battle Armor, pinpointing a testing location on the map.

[Where should we go? The Piltovian Mountains aren't suitable.]

After a moment of consideration, Li Lin set the coordinates to a familiar place, "Let's go to the northern part of the Gardes Island in the Shurima Tereshni Port."
