Ascension 100

Chapter 1: PROLOGUE

It started as an ordinary day.

The school buzzed with life as students hurried through the halls, some clutching books, others laughing with friends. The teachers, as usual, stood watchful, enforcing order. The chatter, the sound of footsteps, and the hum of fluorescent lights created a familiar symphony of routine.

But then, it all stopped.

A sudden blackout plunged the school into darkness. The hum of electricity vanished, leaving only silence. Confused murmurs filled the air as students fumbled for their phones, their flashlights flickering to life.

"What's going on?" someone whispered nervously.

Before anyone could answer, a soft glow illuminated the ground beneath their feet. Patterns of intricate symbols—glowing blue and pulsating like a heartbeat—spread across the school floors, walls, and ceilings. Gasps turned to screams as the symbols grew brighter, enveloping everything in blinding light.

When the light faded, silence returned. The classrooms, hallways, and schoolyard were empty.

The teachers were left behind, staring at the now-deserted school in confusion and fear. But the students—they were gone.

---

For those who had vanished, the world they awakened to was nothing like the one they knew.

A vast, endless arena stretched out before them, its sky a swirling mass of purple and gold. Strange, towering structures rose in the distance, their alien designs unlike anything on Earth.

As panic set in, a loud chime echoed through the air, silencing everyone. Then, a massive, translucent screen materialized in the sky, displaying words that sent chills down their spines:

"Welcome to The Hundred Trials.

You must complete 100 games to survive.

Whoever fails on each trails will be eliminated and disappear forever. On the other hand, Whoever survives will be rewarded and may go back to your Planet Earth."

The words vanished, replaced by a countdown:

"Level 1 begins in 10… 9… 8…"

Chaos erupted. Questions, cries, and desperate prayers filled the air. But no one had answers.

As the countdown reached zero, the ground beneath their feet began to shift, and the first trial began.
