Attribute Farming System

Chapter 30: The 3-Part Prison Plan

"What a classic move," Knox praised casually. "Dumping all the chores on the newbie, then shirking responsibility and going to laze around like a bum. I admire this type of person. To be a professional lazy bastard and be content with such a life—I must admit when I'm inferior…"

*Kuk!*

The senior inmate Knox so admired suddenly coughed up blood and tripped. He whacked his head against a yellow stair railing before tumbling and breaking off a tooth after hitting his face against the enchanted concrete floor.

'Well,' Knox thought, 'so far, the plan is going well. After a couple of days here, I've just about finished outlining the routes of every single inmate below the Golden Core Realm. As soon as I begin the killing spree, I can reach and kill every single one of them without risking interference from the guards that will be 'busy' with the distraction I'm setting up in the High Ward—the ward where the Golden Core and Nascent Soul Realm prisoners are held.'

When first coming up with the idea of farming Attribute Orbs by murdering a bunch of criminals, Knox wanted to attack head-on. However, after realizing that he'd 100% die if he did something so reckless, he went with Plan B.

Plan B:

Part 1 – Sneak into the prison pretending to be a prisoner. Then scout out the layout of the prison, gathering any information he could while at it.

Part 2 – Plant a distraction large enough to keep most of the guards busy for a brief period of time.

Part 3 – Slaughter everything in sight! Leave no prisoners!! Muhahaha!!!

Knox was amazed by his own ingenuity. Truly, his genius knew no bounds.

On a side note, killing the Foundation Establishment and Core Formation Realm cultivators in the Lower Ward would be a breeze. Normally, this would not be the case. But with the high-level magic chains that bound their arms and feet as well as sealed away their cultivation, killing them with his unrestricted power would be easier than slaughtering chickens!

At this point, the only thing preventing him from doing just that right now was the indecisive bastard he chose to be his distraction. Knox understood that it was a life-changing decision to make and all, but that dude seemed extremely depressed.

One would think that by now he would've already gone through with it—

Just then:

KA—BOOOOOOOM!!!

A massive explosion erupted, shaking the entire cliffside fortress. Yet, this thundering occurrence didn't shock Knox one bit; on the contrary, it urged a wide grin onto his mud-covered face.

"That gloomy bastard really did it," he said happily, already using Innate Energy to wash off the mud and dirt that had been meant to conceal his overwhelming attractiveness. "That means it's my time to shine! Attribute Orbs, here I come!!"

FWIP!

Within milliseconds, Knox's figure could already be seen phasing through the halls and walls of the extremely large Low Ward. Held tightly in his right hand was the thin black sword he had formed from his Sword Intent. And dripping down its edges was the blood of any prisoner he encountered.

"Who are y—"

"Bastard, what are you doin—"

"Ahhh—!!"

It didn't matter their cultivation, for with the help of the cultivation-sealing chains that restricted all the prisoners, they were no different from slightly stronger mortals!

The old, gloomy Nascent Soul Realm prisoner had unknowingly served Knox well. Tampering with the man's chains just enough to give him the option of self-exploding before the total depletion of his lifespan had turned out to be the correct choice!

Just look at this! No guards around for as far as the eye could see!

'And all these system notifications… Oh my god,' Knox thought, 'I think I need a cleanup on Aisle My Pants!!'

*Ding~!*

[You have slain 89+ Foundation Establishment Realm cultivators!]

[You have slain 32+ Core Formation Realm cultivators!]

[Strength +3700]

[Agility +4100]

[Mind +2200]

[Affinity +1035]

x104 more…

This was most definitely the largest number of Attribute Orbs Knox had acquired in one sitting. Furthermore, a good chunk of them were in the four-digit range, which tremendously improved his attributes!

— Some time later —

SHING!

"N-No, ahhh!!!"

After finishing up the last runner, Knox swiped his sword out. Blood belonging to various people splattered the confined walls of the prison fortress. Behind him were hundreds of corpses, all strewn out in random spots.

"That makes what?" he wondered. "Number 800?"

Knox hadn't kept count of how many inmates he murdered, since it was inconsequential to know. However, he was positive that he was nearing the four-digit mark.

"Hmm…" Knox murmured while rubbing his chin. "It has been a few seconds already, and if those guards are even the slightest bit competent, then they're surely close to resolving the situation in the High Ward."

Looking around and spreading out his Divine Sense, Knox saw no one else on this floor of the fortress. And seeing as the Lowest Ward held only Qi Condensation Realm and the weakest of Foundation Establishment Realm cultivators, he found it in his best interest not to waste his time when time was running so thin.

"I suppose I need to commence the next part of this multi-step plan," he said as he grinned and felt the strength that hundreds of thousands of points in each attribute allotted him. "Seeing as I'm now dozens of times more powerful than when I came in, I can start picking off the higher-level mobs."

As Knox began walking in a certain direction that he had scouted out some time ago, he laid his hands behind his head and nonchalantly stepped over the corpses sprinkled out like a modern art gallery. He only stopped once arriving at the base of a flight of stairs, though he remained hesitant for a brief moment.

Ultimately, however, he landed a foot on the first step.

Knox ascended the stairs in a laid-back manner. The higher he went, the crisper he could hear the shouts of the guards that had returned to the Low Ward. Their Golden Core Realm auras blasted out, enveloping a good part of the prison fortress.

However, as if none of it had anything to do with him, Knox stepped onto the third floor of Fortress Prison Albitrax—the High Ward—the area holding the Golden Core Realm and weaker Nascent Soul Realm prisoners. This was usually where the most heinous and most powerful convicts in the Water Kingdom were locked up after being caught.

Now, though, it was nothing more than the next farming ground for the Attribute Farmer!
