Aurors

Chapter 28: Friday

A bright light blinded her for a moment as she opened her eyes and for the second time that morning, she was relieved to find herself in the bedroom. Sitting up she rubbed her eyes before she opened her curtains fully with a wave of her hand. Looking around the room she could tell that all the others were already up. Casting a quick Tempus she panicked as it was already close to breakfast and she had to hurry to make it in time. Cursing at her colleagues under her breath she was quick to make herself presentable before going out into the office.

While brushing her teeth she was reminded of the past again and she shivered. Bits and pieces of what had happened in the Room of Requirement floated across her vision from time to time but to her surprise, she felt better that morning than she had in a while. Suddenly, Eminence appeared in her mind and she was reminded of the hollow feeling that didn't seem to leave her alone after what happened. What was she supposed to do about the situation? Septimus wanted to send her to Azkaban for what she did and she doubted that any of the other Slytherins would be opposed to it. Artemis knew that it was up to her what happened to the witch and the professional side of her kept telling her it was the right decision to send her to the prison as the other Auror wanted, but she knew she would never be able to do it.

Groaning in frustration she waved her hand to make her hair braid itself making it get out of her way as she left the bathroom. The brunette took a look at the wand that was resting on the small table next to her bed and grabbed it at the last second before opening the door to the office.

Immediately, she could tell that something had happened during the night as all of them became deadly silent in her presence. Zacharias stopped fiddling with whatever he had in his hands at the moment and gave her a slightly awkward grin. Orion was bent over the little cauldron he had by the side of his desk and quickly did a stasis charm over it before sitting down behind his desk while Cyril looked down at his paperwork. Artemis crossed her arms while raising her eyebrows at them all and looked directly into the eyes of Septimus who was seated on his desk behind a mountain of papers.

"What happened while I was asleep?" The wizard froze under her gaze as he looked over to Orion for help. The brunette noticed the small nod that he gave the dark blond in the corner of her eye.

"Mr Potter came to us early this morning with information about Burns. He saw her have a rather concerning conversation with an unknown wizard via floo in an abandoned office on the fourth floor." Artemis raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"He saw this?" The wizard nodded.

"He was unable to sleep and was wandering the castle as he found the room Burns was in by accident. Mr Potter then used his cloak to sneak into the room as the witch opened the door to check for spies. Ironic, as she ended up letting the spy inside. However, he did not recognise the wizard she was calling." The brunette rolled her eyes.

"Of course, bloody hero complex. So what did he hear?" An awkward silence spread through the room as she looked at each one of them but after a minute passed Cyril threw his paperwork to the side got up from his chair and embraced her from behind. She could feel jealousy from Orion but surprisingly the wizard stayed put in his chair without saying anything.

"Sending you into a coma was planned from the beginning. Whoever attacked you and Malfoy that day not only went there to get him but to get you out of the way." Artemis turned her head slightly to look at him.

"You're kidding." The auburn-haired wizard shook his head.

"It's true. We swept the room she had the conversation in but found nothing of use."

"The floo call was using a secure line and I have doubts it was a legal one so gotta ask someone to help me on that." The brunette looked at Zacharias's grinning face and as always he was overly confident that a solution would fall into his lap. Artemis let out a heavy sigh as she leaned into Cyril who stood his ground keeping them both from falling over.

"That's not all. Seems like the latest threat letters are coming from inside the castle now. But it's different handwriting from the first ones. Robards just got back to us on that so McGonagall was mistaken when she said it was the same handwriting." The brunette looked up at the wizard behind her with a scowl on her face.

"Why was I not informed of this earlier?" Cyril gave her a sly smirk.

"You were preoccupied with other things." Orion then interrupted whatever he was going to say next by clearing his throat loudly.

"One last thing. Peeves found the missing Defence classroom last night." Artemis looked at her partner with genuine surprise.

"He went to you instead of me?" The blond shrugged as he stood up from his chair and went to stand in front of her. When the brunette realised what kind of position they were standing in she could feel a slight blush spread across her cheeks which made the icy blue eyes fill with mischief. However, all he did was push Cyril off her, but as the other wizard was keeping her in a tight embrace they both stumbled a bit and she dropped her wand to the floor as she reached for Orion to steady herself. Cyril just rolled his eyes at Orion as he bent down to pick the wand off the floor, but as he grabbed it he gave her a curious look.

"This doesn't feel right. Are there any crystals in this?" The brunette was about to take it from him but Orion grabbed her instead and made her look at him. With one hand on her jaw, he reached for the wand with his other and from the corner of her eye, she could see Cyril giving it to him. The blond was quiet for a few moments before he looked down at her with a knowing look.

"How long has this been empty?" Silence filled the room once more as it seemed everyone was holding their breaths. Artemis's eyes met his ice-blue ones while understanding was flowing through the bond at her. He understood why she hadn't been over to Eminence's place to get it fixed but at the same time, a small river of anger was present as well.

"You need to get this fixed." She had hoped that none of them would figure out that her wand was missing the crystals yet. She wasn't ready to face the other witch yet especially not alone.

"I can't leave, Malfoy. It can wait." Anger flashed over his eyes more clearly now.

"One of us can watch him while you go get this fixed." Suddenly, Queen grabbed Orion's shoulder. The blond let go of Artemis in the process.

"What about this, King? I go with Artemis after breakfast to London, Ace watches Malfoy and you get some sleep. After what we just learned I don't think it's smart for Prince to go anywhere alone either. Not that you can't handle yourself." Zacharias held his hands up in defence as she glared at him. Septimus got up from his own chair then.

"I agree with Queen. Go get some sleep, Orion." The blond scowled at all of them before he sighed.

"Fine. But if some-"

"Something happens send you a Patronus, yes yes, I know King. Now go get some sleep, yeah? Shoo!" Artemis watched dumbfounded as Zacharias pushed Orion towards the bedroom after the blond gave her wand back. The blond scowled at the dark wizard, but a strict look from the taller wizard made him give up as he went into the bedroom willingly. Queen turned to the rest of them with a big grin.

"Let's go to breakfast, yeah? Prince, you better hurry to go down to the dungeons to get Malfoy." The dark wizard winked at her before marching out of the painting seemingly happy with himself.

"That wizard never ceases to surprise me." Cyril laughed at Septimus's comment as he went after the dark wizard himself. The office grew quiet as it was only Ace and her left now. He gave her another polite smile as he went back to his desk to pick up a folder.

"You slept well, I hope?" The brunette stared at his back for a second before answering.

"Yes, as far as I can tell anyway." With the folder in hand, he gave her a smirk before he motioned to the painting which opened by itself. Rolling her eyes she went outside ahead of him and he was quick to follow.

While Septimus went in the direction of the Great Hall Artemis took the shortcuts she knew to get down to the dungeons faster and passed quite a few students that were headed to breakfast as she went. Now used to seeing the Aurors walking around some of them even said good morning to her as she passed. Surprisingly, the brunette found the blond seated on one of the sofas down in the common room looking pristine as always.

"Good morning, Mr Malfoy. Have you been waiting long?" The boy got up quickly while he grabbed his bag.

"Good morning. Not really, I just woke up earlier than normal so I got ready earlier." Artemis wondered what it was with the Slytherins that day and giving her polite smiles as Draco gave her one that reminded her of Septimus's.

"I see. You had a peaceful sleep then?" The blond looked uncomfortable as he tried to avert his eyes which made her even more sure that he was trying to come up with an excuse.

"Tell me the truth, Mr Malfoy." Some students passed them as they looked at the pair weirdly which made the boy even more uncomfortable she noticed. Sighing, stormy eyes met hers as he shook his head.

"I was surprised it was Auror Silver that showed up instead of you last night. Are you alright? Nothing more has happened with the… you know." Casually he pointed to his heart. Scowling, she wondered why Peeves hadn't woken her up as he usually did and gone to Orion but that was something she had to take care of another time.

"No, everything is fine. You must be hungry, let's go." He followed her obediently out of the common room without saying anything. The pair was closing in on the Hall when Artemis spotted Potter about to walk into it but before she got to say anything Draco shouted at the boy to wait for them. Confused, the other wizard stopped in his tracks before he saw who called him before he made his way over to them.

"Mornin' Malfoy. Auror Blackmoore." The brunette smiled at him.

"Morning, Mr Potter." The ravenhead looked up at the taller wizard with glinting eyes.

"Anything I can do for you 'Master Malfoy'?" Artemis had to hide her grin as the boy proceeded to bow before the blond who in turn only smirked before rolling his eyes.

"I need to talk to you, I promised to tell you something remember? How about after class today?" The brunette wasn't sure what the young Malfoy was talking about but it seemed that Potter did who nodded before grinning sheepishly.

"Right! Well, today after class doesn't work." Had it not been for her closest friends being Slytherins she would have missed the disappointed look that flashed over Draco's face before his mask was securely in place again.

"Well then, see you in class Potter." Draco was about to walk past the boy when the ravenhead grabbed his arm almost in a panicked manner.

"Sorry, Malfoy! I got detention today so that's why." Both Artemis and Draco raised their eyebrows at him.

"Detention? Really, Potter what did you do?" Potter grinned sheepishly again as he let go of Draco.

"Um… I kinda pissed off Burns? She gave me detention in the Forbidden Forest after school today." Artemis frowned at what she heard as she stepped closer to the two wizards.

"Why did you piss her off, Mr Potter?" Potter looked to Draco before he looked back at Artemis, for a moment she was confused as to why he didn't say anything before she started to feel something trying to get through her Occlumency shields. She dropped them while looking at him and got to see a memory of him talking to Orion in an office so to ran out the door quickly and crashed into the so-called Defence Professor.

"Trying to distract me by not answering the question, Mr Potter?" Her choice of words made him grin.

"Sorry, Auror Blackmoore. I got lost in thought, anyway sorry again Malfoy. I guess we need to talk another time, how about tomorrow?" Draco had crossed his arms and raised his eyebrow as it was clear he understood what had happened before him.

"You are aware that it's dangerous in the Forest right? What are you doing in there anyway?" Potter shrugged.

"Usually I just go with Hagrid and I help him around the edge of it. Just look after some of the animals and stuff. It's not really that bad but he did tell me he found something interesting in there last week so maybe we are going to explore that."

Artemis watched as the point Draco was trying to make just got ignored by the shorter wizard. She knew that the blond had respect for the Forest and knew of its dangers but at the same time, it was sweet of him to at least try to show that he cared for his new friends.

"Potter, you are missing the point. There are werewolves in there for bloody sake and tons of them now that Greyback managed to move entire hordes here for the battle. Even the Aurors are having trouble dealing with them." Draco looked at her to get confirmation of what he was saying and she was quick to nod.

"See? Now, why would you ever go out there willingly?" Potter stood there with a peculiar expression for a little while before he smiled up at the blond.

"Worried about me, Malfoy?" The Slytherin snorted loudly before looking away from him.

"Why would I ever worry over you, Potter? I am just stating the facts here." Artemis could not keep her laughter from escaping as Zacharias peeked his head outside of the Great Hall.

"There ya are! Thought you got attacked by Peeves or something on your way up here. What's so funny?" The brunette clapped her hand in front of her mouth when Draco sent her a glare and she proceeded to shake her head at Queen. The dark wizard walked over to them with a glint in his eye.

"Now you got me curious." The Gryffindor grinned up at him.

"Just that Malfoy is worried for me since I got detention in the Forbidden Forest tonight." Zacharias raised his eyebrow at him before he looked like he realised something.

"Crap, sorry to hear that Mr Potter. Well if you are worried about him Mr Malfoy why don't you just go with him?" Draco turned white as a sheet for a second before swallowing thickly.

"Into the Forest? Are you nuts? There are monsters in there." Artemis knew where this was going even before her eyes met the deep brown of Zacharias. The mischievous look on his face told her everything she needed to know.

"There are monsters in here too, ya know? Personally, I would say they are much more terrifying than anything you can find in the Forest." A mix of confusion and fear flashed over Draco's face before he looked at Artemis and then back to Zacharias. The dark wizard gave him a wide grin and then a wink to confirm what Artemis was fearing he was doing as she sighed. Sudden realisation was evident on the blond's face now as he looked at Potter again.

"Fine, I'll come with you. Who else is gonna keep you from getting killed?" Said wizard was just showing plain confusion for a moment before he smiled at Draco.

"Sounds like fun, Malfoy. Maybe this time you won't run out screaming, huh? Well, I'm starving so better get some breakfast before we gotta run to class. See ya in a few, Malfoy." The Gryffindor ran into the Great Hall and as soon he was out of view Artemis punched Zacharias as hard as she could in the arm. The wizard grunted in pain as he looked at her with mischief again.

"Sorry, Prince. I couldn't resist. You better hurry and get something to eat before we leave, I'm done so I'll wait for you at the office." The brunette mumbled a curse under her breath and watched as he flinched again and turned around to glare at her. She smirked at him in return before she looked at Draco who was looking at her with a frown.

"You are leaving?" She patted him on the shoulder reassuringly.

"Only for a few hours. We are going to London to take care of something, Auror Zouch will be with you until I get back again. Now let's hurry and eat, hm?" The boy nodded at her before he walked into the Great Hall and found a seat at the Slytherin table. She quickly sat down herself and started to eat. Seemed like this day was getting more adventurous as the hours went by she noted.

~ཐིཋྀ~

For being a Friday the Atrium was surprisingly busy Artemis noticed when they walked through the floo. The ever-confident Zacharias started to walk towards the elevators to get out on the street the second he was through the floo and the brunette had to hurry up her pace to keep up. She hadn't been out of the castle since the attack at the Leaky Cauldron but it was clear the rumours were still going as she caught more than one person staring at her as she walked. Of course, they could also be staring at their uniform as was a more normal thing at this point.

They crammed themselves into the full elevator and after just a few seconds Queen was flirting with a witch who was standing next to him. Artemis tuned him out as she was used to pick up lines at this point and her mind wandered to how she was going to behave in front of Eminence. Should she pretend everything was fine? What should she say? A wave of nausea passed over her and she wished she could just run away, but she knew that if she did she would soon find herself in front of a very angry Orion. Besides, even if Zacharias looked occupied she knew he was keeping a close eye on her. The wizard had a scary talent for multitasking. Only a few wizards were taking the elevator all the way up to street level and it made it a little easier to breathe the last few floors. The dark wizard squeezed her shoulder reassuringly as they stepped out on the street.

"Better take in the sweet London air now that you have the chance." He smiled at her as he stretched and took a deep breath. She decided to mimic him and actually felt better about it. Surprisingly, the tall wizard didn't say much on their little walk over to the Leaky Cauldron but was busy looking around like a guard dog almost expecting danger at every corner. However, when they entered the little pub they were met with Tom's big smile.

"Auror Blackmoore! You are alright! Merlin, girl, you scared us that day." Artemis smiled at the barman reassuringly.

"Glad to see you are alright. There wasn't too much damage to be fixed in here I hope?" The wizard waved his hands in front of her.

"No no! Nothing compared to after the war. Besides, thanks to Auror Zabini here I got full compensation from the Auror Department! But what about that junior you had with you that day? He is alright too I hope?" Artemis wondered if the wizard actually knew that it was the young Malfoy because if he did he hid it perfectly.

"Saved my life after I managed to get out of here actually. He was a little shaken at first but he is doing alright now." Tom gave them a wide grin before he laughed.

"Good to hear! Can I get you two anything? Coffee? Dessert?" Zacharias shook his head with a saddened look.

"Sorry, mate but we are on a mission today. Maybe next time, yeah?" The wizard nodded in understanding.

"Right, work comes first. Well, I wish you both a good day!" The Auror pair said their goodbyes to the barman as they left out the back and went into Diagon Alley. The street was busy with people running from place to place and Artemis felt the nausea return making her swallow thickly. She let the dark wizard take the lead as he walked ahead of her into Knockturn Alley and soon the familiar shop came into view. Her legs froze in place a few meters from the door and Zacharias turned around to face her. One look was all he needed to understand why she was frozen and he grabbed both her shoulders and shook her slightly.

"Just go in. It's just a shop, Prince." The brunette recognised the twist he put on her own words and she took a deep breath before nodding. Smiling softly he let her go and walked the remaining distance before going into the shop.

"Eminence! Long time no see!"

~ཐིཋྀ~

Zacharias's words faded into a faint mumble and it felt like Artemis was walking on the bottom of the ocean when her eyes met the other witch. She expected to feel emptiness like she had done the day after the incident but instead, the anger started to rise to the top. It was slow like it was molten and wanted to burn her on the way up making her feel every inch in the process.

In fear of saying something, she might regret she kept her mouth shut and simply took out the wand and levitated it towards Eminence, who picked it out of the air. Zacharias had walked all the way into the shop and was standing with the tall witch at the little cauldron station she had at the back behind the counter. A cauldron was boiling at her side with something Artemis could not see what was.

The brunette stopped in the middle of the store simply for fear of getting too close. She could feel Eminence's eyes on her but she looked away crossing her arms in the process. The hand she had hidden under her arm was formed into a fist and her nails were digging into her skin. Soon she felt the warmth of her own blood in her palm but at the moment didn't care. Laughter pierced her underwater bubble as she took a peek at the pair up front.

It looked like Zacharias had started his usual flirting routine by the way he behaved and was probably spitting out one stupid one-liner after the other. Artemis could feel the anger rise quicker as she saw Eminence laugh with him. With her better judgement, she tried to focus on what they were talking about and the tall witch's laugh was clear in her ears as Queen continued what he was in the middle of saying.

"No honestly, you should take over for that old bat that they call runes teacher. I swear she can't tell if they are the right side up anymore." It was irrational, she knew, but her colleague's comment was what brought her over the edge and made the rage fill her up to the brim.

Eminence paused her laughter for a moment to consider his suggestion seriously, but her attention was quickly brought back to the wizard before her who seemed distracted by something.

"Wasn't that just boiling?" She followed his eyes to the cauldron she had been working on before they came in, confused as it shouldn't cool off this quickly.

"Curious, it was." They stepped closer to find that the potion had mysteriously frozen over while they spoke. Just as she was about to reach out and poke the frozen brew she was suddenly pulled backwards and down onto the floor with surprising force.

"Protego!" The witch looked up just in time to see Zacharias cast a shielding charm over them both as a shock wave washed over them. She heard glass started to break and the furniture scrape across the floor as it moved. The wizard's charm protected them from the glass that came flying directly at them and she bent down further reflexively. Then everything became deadly quiet. Eminence looked up at the dark wizard next to her, unsure of what to do next. His now serious eyes met hers.

"I would hurry up with fixing that wand if I was you, Eminence." The Auror's attention was quickly turned to the source of the shock wave without lowering his wand. Trying to get her bearings about what was even happening, she managed to turn around on the floor and grab the wand she had dropped when he pulled her. A hundred thoughts at once and a more than a healthy dose of fear raced through her mind, and she took a few practised breaths to try to centre herself enough to get up on her knees. She looked up at the wizard, but couldn't follow his eyes as the counter still barely blocked her line of sight. The witch's mind returned to his last order. The wand. No time to get to the desk to draw the glyph she had used last time, she tapped Artemis's wand with her own and watched as the pieces let go of each other and fell in a heap on the floor before her.

"I- I… n-need a new crystal!" She felt every syllable as she stammered, it had been a while since she was this rattled. "In the cabinet over there." She pointed to the right while looking at Zacharias, seeking approval for them to move. He nodded slowly.

"Go slow. I'll follow." Trying and failing to get up, Eminence resigned herself to crawling across the floor toward the cabinet. As she cleared the counter, she turned her head to look at what exactly was doing all this.

Golden eyes met hers which made her freeze in place. Turns out it was Artemis that was responsible for her shop exploding and said witch was now looking at her like she was a little animal in a cage. The contrast to the last time she saw those eyes was extremely stark. Previously they had been kind, but full of doubt. This time she saw only rage and her already confused mind didn't know how to reconcile that with the witch they belonged to. She felt trapped in her gaze, having just seen the power she can put behind the anger that was now squarely directed at Eminence. Experimentally, she tried moving slowly towards her destination again but the golden eyes kept following her.

"Ey! Prince! Look at me, remember what I said outside? It's just a shop." Artemis's eyes snapped up to look at the Auror that was placing himself in front of Eminence, wand still raised with the protective charm in place.

"Time to move, Eminence." His voice had dropped to a whisper as he now seemed to have the brunette's attention. That was enough to get the blonde moving again, and she covered the final meter, then steadied herself against the cabinet to stand up. She opened the doors and sighed with relief as she saw the crystals in there were still sky blue, ready for use. After retrieving one her mind had had the time to clear up a bit, but as she started moving back toward the counter she saw Artemis once again looking her way and froze for a few seconds, ultimately deciding that right here was just fine and Accoied the wand pieces to herself. She slumped down on the floor and began manually reassembling the wand piece by piece. Zacharias snapped his fingers towards Artemis getting her attention again.

"Artemis, stay with me. I'm right here, just a shop remember? We are getting your wand fixed then we are leaving. You can throw me against the ceiling when we get back if that makes up for dragging you here, alright?" While a bit slower than the magical way, assembling the wand did not take long, it was a mere fifteen-piece puzzle she herself had made. But the worst was yet to come, and Eminence dreaded what she had to do next. Give it back to her. She stood up again, this time without assistance.

"I- I uh… think we need to get closer now." She whimpered in Zacharias's direction. The wizard looked at her quickly before looking back at the witch who was standing in the middle of the room. Somehow it made it even more menacing than she hadn't moved this entire time.

"Done?" Eminence moved up to his side.

"Yeah." Zacharias nodded to show that he had heard her and started to move slowly towards Artemis. The shorter witch kept looking between them but still didn't move or say anything. Her eyes were still the same solid gold that they had been earlier and it sent a shiver down the tall witch's spine. When they were close enough so that Eminence could give her the wand Zacharias stopped.

"Your wand's done, Prince. Time to take it and go home. Just like I said. Gonna be fun throwing me against the ceiling, heh?" Gathering the last of her courage, Eminence reached forward to hand Artemis her wand back.

"Here you go. I'm sorry you had to be here before you were ready. But you're welcome any time."

The brunette took the wand, put it in her wand holster and just when the tall witch thought everything was over the broken things all around her shop started to move again. She grabbed the dark Auror's arm in fear as she watched her things slowly put themselves back together again. The furniture that had moved shuffled back into place before everything went quiet again.

Everything that was previously destroyed was now perfectly in place like nothing had ever happened and she looked at the shorter witch in shock. Artemis's eyes were still showing signs of gold but the brown was slowly taking over again.

"Thank you." Before the tall witch got to say anything she watched as the brunette marched out of her store and up the street.

"Well, that went surprisingly well!" Eminence let go of the Auror's arm and gave him an exasperated look.

"Don't tempt me to try what you offered her to do. I will fail, and you won't like it." Smirking at her with a staple Slytherin smirk he looked around the shop for a second.

"Seemed like she put everything back in place, so no reason to clean up I suppose. She usually cleans up after herself luckily." The tall blonde looked around, marvelling at Artemis's near-instant repair of what was previously a complete disaster. As she scanned across the workbench on the opposite wall, her eyes fell on the crystals in the corner. All of them orange and black, just like the spent wand cores.

"How difficult do you think it would be to convince the headmistress I could take over that job?" Zacharias looked at her puzzled for a second before he grinned.

"Burns is a teacher, so probably not much. But then again Artemis is in the castle… so… I'll let you figure that one out for yourself. You're a Ravenclaw, you can do it. That was probably the first time you saw her like that, huh?" His humorous tone disappeared as he asked the last question and somehow turned eerily serious. Eminence giggled at his response, only to be taken entirely off guard by the wizard's sudden tone shift.

"It was. I'd seen the golden eyes before, but she was in control then. So calm I could appreciate their beauty. This time was entirely different. This experience has given me a bit of clarity into what you have all been warning me about. I knew at an intellectual level, but it's difficult to fully understand without having seen it for yourself. I could feel the intent to kill as she looked at me, and I knew Artemis was in there somewhere preventing that from happening. Uh, good job, by the way, thank you." The Auror nodded in agreement before he started to laugh.

"It's part of the deal I signed up for when I became friends with the witch. Even if she scares me to death half the time, the other half she just turns me on." The witch laughed.

"Mate, same." Zacharias gave her a knowing smirk before he looked out at the street only to stop and look back at her.

"One last thing before I go. Has anyone come in here in the last few months and bought any crystals from you by any chance?" His tone had turned strictly professional all of a sudden. Eminence was a little surprised to hear that tone from Zacharias but knew it well from the other Aurors.

"They don't exactly sell like hotcakes, but I've sold a few. I don't have any names and doubt I could describe them to you, but I should be able to recognise them if you could show me." The Auror studied her for a second.

"Remember what Vanessa Burns looks like? Gryffindor, -"

"I remember the bitch. She wasn't here." The dark wizard grinned.

"Hard to forget that one. Well, it's been a pleasure, but I think I better follow the wild demon Prince before she gets herself into trouble. Don't want another Death Eater attack on our hands. I have too much paperwork as it is." With a wave in her direction and a grin on his face, the Auror hurried out of the shop and up the street to follow the witch.
