Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Uncovering the Truth
Jack's mind was reeling with questions and emotions. He felt like his whole identity had been turned upside down.
He decided to confront Cynthia, hoping she might know something about his past.
"Cynthia, I need to ask you something," Jack said, his voice shaking slightly.
Cynthia looked at him with concern. "What is it, Jack?"
"I...I just found out that I'm not who I thought I was," Jack stammered.
Cynthia's expression changed from concern to surprise. "What do you mean?"
Jack showed her the photograph and document. Cynthia's eyes widened as she read the document.
"Where did you get this?" she asked, her voice firm.
"A mysterious figure gave it to me," Jack replied.
Cynthia's expression turned thoughtful. "I think I know what's going on, Jack."
"Tell me!" Jack urged.
Cynthia took a deep breath. "You, Jack, are the son of two renowned Pokémon researchers."
Jack's eyes widened. "What?"
Cynthia nodded. "They were working on a top-secret project when they disappeared."
Jack's mind was racing. "What project?"
Cynthia hesitated. "I'm not entirely sure, but I think it has something to do with the Pokémon egg in the photograph."
Jack's eyes locked onto the photograph. The Pokémon egg seemed to be staring back at him.
Suddenly, Jack felt a strange connection to the egg. It was as if he could hear its voice, calling to him.
"What's going on, Cynthia?" Jack asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Cynthia's expression turned serious. "I think, Jack, that you're connected to something much bigger than yourself."
And with that, Jack's journey to uncover the truth about his past, his parents, and the mysterious Pokémon egg began...
