Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties

Chapter 372: Man Into Orbit

Fiona crouched behind a broken stone slab, eyes scanning the open arena.

Her drone cam hovered beside her, streaming every second live.

She smirked, brushing a bit of dust off her shoulder.

"You hear that, chat?"

She whispered into her mic, a glint in her eyes.

"It's a treasure hunt."

She glanced up at the floating Liline disappearing into the light.

"No queue. No auction stage. Just chaos."

She stood, rolling her shoulders.

"Honestly? I like these odds better. Let's go hunting."

Her fingers tapped the drone to zoom out.

Dozens of tamers were already sprinting through the ruins.

"If it's like this, I might actually snag one."

She winked at the camera.

"So please, chat—pray for me, will you?"

Fiona laughed, her breath picking up.

She started jogging toward the eastern corridor.

"Tell you what."

She held up two fingers to the camera.

"If I get two—or three somehow."

"I'll gift the extras to the top donator by the end of the stream."

The chat exploded instantly.

Fiona ducked behind a fallen statue and grinned.

"Time to win a Vornis... or die trying."

She broke into a sprint.

---

The battlefield had turned into a mad scramble of tamers.

They dashed, dodged and dove into other obstacles, searching for the tokens.

But not every one of them came to buy the Vornis.

The weaker tamers soon made their way toward the spectator seats.

One man slumped into a reclining chair with a sigh.

"Yeah, I wasn't going to risk getting elbowed by a Sovereign-rank psycho just to maybe get a token."

The woman next to him took a long sip from her fruit drink.

"Exactly. I'm here for the drama, not the trauma."

They laughed as they looked down at the arena.

Rows of seats curved around the upper balcony.

There were also snacks and light refreshments already available for them.

"Free food and beast battles? Luxoria Castle really knows how to treat its spectators."

Meanwhile, two separate groups began to leave the area.

The Myralis and Valefor families.

They moved past the main platform, ignoring the event entirely.

Sylvaine Myralis walked at the front of her group.

She looked over her shoulder.

"Let's go."

Her voice was calm but final.

"We didn't come to watch children chase tokens. We're here for Lord L."

Behind her, Elaris followed with hands behind her back, pace unhurried.

"We already own Vornis. No need to wrestle with the masses for more."

She gave a faint smile.

"Let them enjoy their scramble."

On the other side of the corridor, Vandred Valefor led his group in silence.

"We're heading to meet Lord L."

Caelan nodded once. "To finalize the contract?"

Vandred grunted.

"Yes. I want that Titanhoof beast bound to you. Properly this time."

Caelan's smirk was slow but unmistakable.

"Finally. I can tame that damn horse."

He cracked his knuckles.

"About time it stopped treating me like a rival."

Vandred gave a sideways glance.

"It will. Once it knows who holds the reins."

---

Two groups approached from two different gates of the main corridor.

From one side came Vandred Valefor, tall and imposing.

Walking with him were his three sons: Caelan, Raiven, and Eryndor.

From the other side came Sylvaine Myralis, calm and composed.

At her side were her daughters: Elaris and Velmara.

Both groups stopped when they saw each other.

Vandred stared forward.

"Myralis."

Sylvaine returned his look.

"Valefor."

Vandred crossed his arms.

"Didn't expect you to show up for this."

Sylvaine answered without blinking.

"I could say the same. But we're both here, aren't we?"

Vandred looked toward her daughters, then back to her.

"You here for more beasts?"

Sylvaine's tone stayed calm.

"No. We already have what we need."

Vandred grunted.

"Then what?"

"I want to speak with Lord L. Not everything is about brute power."

Vandred didn't respond right away.

Sylvaine nodded once.

"Let's not waste time. We're not here to argue in hallways."

Vandred gave a short nod.

"Fine. Let's go."

The two groups began walking toward the negotiation chamber.

Side by side.

No one spoke on the way.

Raiven glanced briefly at Elaris.

She noticed but didn't react.

Caelan stayed focused, walking behind his father.

Eryndor remained at the rear, quiet and alert.

Velmara looked ahead, ignoring the Valefors.

When the two families reached the grand chamber doors, they stopped again.

Standing before them was Liline, waiting in front of it.

She was composed and perfectly still.

She gave a graceful nod.

"Welcome to Luxoria Castle, Lord Vandred Valefor, Patriarch of the Valefor family."

She turned slightly.

"And Lady Sylvaine Myralis, Matriarch of the Myralis family."

Vandred narrowed his eyes.

"You know who we are?"

Liline gave a small smile.

"Of course. Your names, achievements, and ranks are all public."

"Your data is spread across the net. It's not hard to access."

Sylvaine glanced at her.

"So you've done your research."

Liline nodded.

"It's standard protocol in Luxoria Castle. We prepare thoroughly for every negotiation."

Vandred gave a low grunt.

"I see."

Sylvaine nodded once.

"Understood."

Liline stepped aside, gesturing to the large door behind her.

"Lord L is waiting for you inside."

She placed her hand on the wall. The door reacted instantly.

It was unlocked and slowly opened up.

"Please, come in."

Without another word, both Vandred and Sylvaine entered.

Their children followed from behind.

The moment they entered, they paused.

The hall was nothing like the rest of Luxoria Castle.

A high-ceilinged chamber lined with silver pillars and crystal glass panels.

Golden veins pulsed underfoot, and soft mist rolled along the edges of the floor.

At the center of it all.

Seated calmly on a silver-backed throne-style sofa was a woman.

Her legs crossed, posture elegant.

Silver hair flowed beneath a half-mask that covered the upper part of her face.

She spoke clearly.

"Welcome to Luxoria Castle."
