Becoming the Strongest as a Game Dev

Chapter 64: Chapter 64

Sam and Yuna go to the Silverstone estate to meet with Aria.

They stand before the grand entrance of the Silverstone estate, both taking in the lavish surroundings. Yuna's eyes widen as she gazes up at the towering mansion, its intricate architecture and manicured gardens a stark contrast to the modest apartment she's used to.

"It's even more impressive than I imagined," Yuna breathes, her voice tinged with awe.

"I had the same reaction when I first came here. The Silverstones certainly know how to make an impression."

Sam and Yuna are greeted by Edgar, Aria's butler. The prim and proper man nods at them, his silver hair neatly combed.

"Good morning, Mr. Briar and Ms. Minami," he says.

"Miss Silverstone will see you shortly. Please, follow me." Edgar turns and leads them through the grand foyer, his footsteps echoing against the marble floors.

Sam and Yuna trailed behind, taking in the opulent surroundings. Ornate chandeliers hung from the high ceilings, casting a warm glow over the elegant furnishings. Paintings and tapestries adorned the walls, showcasing the Silverstone family's wealth and prestige.

Edgar guided them to a cozy guest room, furnished with plush couches and a low table.

"Please, have a seat. Refreshments will be brought momentarily." With a polite bow, he exited, leaving Sam and Yuna alone to wait for Aria's arrival.

Yuna appears nervous, and Sam notices it.

"Yuna, you don't need to be nervous," Sam says, trying to calm her down.

"I'm not nervous! How are you not nervous? We're about to meet one of the best B-Rank Hunters in the city and the head of the Silverstone family! How can you be so calm?" Yuna's voice wavers slightly as she speaks.

"Aria seems to be a kind person, so I'm sure she won't bite."

Yuna mutters, "Where are you getting that confidence..." as she wrings her hands nervously.

Before Sam can respond, the door opens, and Edgar enters the room. "Miss Silverstone will see you now."

Aria enters the room, her golden eyes settling on Sam. "It is nice to see you again, Sam."

"Hello, Aria. This is Yuna, it was her mother I requested your help with," said Sam.

"I know, it is nice to meet you, Yuna." Aria turns her gaze to the younger developer.

"H-Hello, Aria-sama!" Yuna bows, her nerves evident.

"giggle Aria is fine. Drop the -sama. Be comfortable," Aria says, her tone gentle.

"Thank you for helping my mother. I will definitely repay this debt!" Yuna's voice is filled with gratitude.

"It is a small thing. You don't need to repay me," Aria assures her.

"You're so kind… Ah, I made these cookies as a thank you. Please accept them!" Yuna offers a bag of freshly baked cookies.

"Okay, let's eat them here. Edgar, please serve the tea." Aria gestures to her butler, who takes the cookies and sets up a tea set, pouring the fragrant liquid into delicate cups.

Sam and Yuna accept the cups of tea, the steam curling up and tickling their noses. Yuna takes a sip, her eyes widening as the rich flavors dance on her tongue.

"This is delicious!" she exclaims.

Aria smiles, taking a cookie and biting into it. "Mmm, these are wonderful, Yuna. Thank you for the thoughtful gesture."

Sam follows suit, savoring the buttery sweetness of the homemade treat. "You're a talented baker, Yuna."

Yuna flushes at the compliments, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "I'm glad you both enjoy them."

The three sit in comfortable silence for a moment, sipping their tea and indulging in the cookies. Aria sets her cup down, her expression turning serious.

"Now, I believe we have some business to discuss," she says, her gaze shifting between Sam and Yuna.

Sam nods, straightening his posture. "Yes, about the custom simulation you requested..."

Sam knows Aria wants the simulation to focus on twin pistols, her main weapon. He wonders if Aria needs anything else added.

"I know you want the simulation to focus on twin pistols, but is there anything else you'd like to include?" Sam asks.

Aria's brow furrows slightly. "Well... nothing comes to mind."

"Then, would you mind if I see your fighting style? It might give me some insights."

"Of course, we have a training room in the estate. Follow me."

Aria leads Sam, Yuna, and Edgar to the Silverstone family's private training room. The spacious area is lined with various weapons and equipment, and a large holographic target range dominates one wall.

"This is where I practice," Aria explains, gesturing around the room. "Feel free to observe."

She retrieves a pair of sleek, silver pistols from a weapons rack and steps onto the range.

Aria steps onto the training range, her silver pistols gleaming under the bright lights. With a nod, she activates the simulation, and a horde of robots materialize around her.

Yuna watches, transfixed, as Aria springs into action. The B-Rank Hunter moves with a fluid grace, her body bending and twisting as she fires off precise shots. Each bullet finds its mark, taking down the robots with effortless precision.

"Amazing... So this is the strength of a B-Rank Hunter," Yuna breathes, her eyes wide with awe.

Edgar, standing beside her, nods approvingly. "Young miss is a cut above the rest of the B-Rankers. She is not even serious. This amount is a mere warm-up for her."

"Awesome!"

Sam observes Aria's movements intently, his gaze following the graceful arc of her body as she fires. Her accuracy is remarkable, and she can hit targets at seemingly impossible angles. It's clear that Aria's skills go far beyond mere marksmanship; her fighting style is more akin to a deadly ballet.

The last robot falls, and Aria turns to face Sam, her golden eyes gleaming. "Well, did you get an idea for the simulation?"

"I did," Sam replies, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Your fighting style is remarkable, Aria. I believe I have the perfect simulation in mind."

Yuna perks up, her curiosity piqued. "What's your idea, Sam?"

"I'll share the details with you later. For now, let's see what Aria thinks."

He turns to the B-Rank Hunter, awaiting her response.

Aria nods, her expression thoughtful. "Very well. I trust your judgment, Sam."

Before they could discuss the simulation further, the door to the training room opens, and a new presence enters.
