Chapter 2: chapter 2
Nzanzu trudged through the dense underbrush, her basket slung over her arm as she searched for firewood near the national park.
The sun beat down on her, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor.
As she wandered deeper into the woods, Masika stumbled upon a clearing. Suddenly, she found herself surrounded by a group of armed men.
They were a mix of foreigners - Americans and South Koreans - and black poachers, all of them heavily armed.
The leader of the group, a burly American, sneered at Nzanzu. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" he said, his voice dripping with malice.
Nzanzu tried to run, but the men were too quick. They grabbed her, holding her in a tight grip. One of the men, a South Korean, spoke up, his voice cold and calculating. "We have another buyer interested in her valuable body parts," he said, his eyes scanning Nzanzu's body.
The men laughed, and Nzanzu's heart sank. She struggled and kicked, but they were too strong. One of the poachers raised his fist and struck Nzanzu, knocking her to the ground.
As she lay there, dazed and helpless, Nzanzu realized that she was in grave danger. The men's intentions were clear, and she knew that she had to escape if she wanted to survive...
Nzanzu's world went dark after the poacher's blow. When she came to, she was disoriented and groggy, her head pounding with a dull ache. She tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over her, forcing her back down.
As her senses slowly returned, Nzanzu realized that she was in a strange, dimly lit room. The air was thick with the smell of animal hides and something else... something acrid and chemical.
Her heart racing, Nzanzu scrambled to her feet, looking frantically around the room. She saw piles of animal goods - ivory tusks, rhino horns, and pelts - and her mind recoiled in horror.
How did i get here? where am i? And what did these people want from me?
Nzunza's thoughts were a jumble of fear and confusion. She stumbled forward, desperate to find a way out, but the door was locked and barred.
She was trapped.
And she knew she was in grave danger...
