BLEACH: SURVIVAL SYSTEM

Chapter 9: CHAPTER 9

Among the many abilities of the Sword of Oath of Victory, one technique involves infusing it with spiritual power, causing its blade to radiate with a brilliant glow.

This glow is not merely aesthetic—it significantly amplifies the sword's cutting power and destructive force. When empowered, the Sword of Oath of Victory becomes capable of slicing through even the hardened hide of a Gillian-class Menos Grande with ease.

This overwhelming strength led to Edrad Liones being instantly slain by Akira.

"Huh, this Gillian Menos Grande seems to be more aggressive than the others," Akira remarked, blinking in surprise. It was evident that Edrad had underestimated him, leading to his downfall.

The shocking turn of events left even powerful Menos Grande like Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez momentarily stunned.

"Wh—what? Edrad was actually cut down!?"

Nakeem Greendina was in disbelief, questioning his own eyes.

"How could a Gillian-class Menos Grande be defeated by such a weak Shinigami with such low Reiatsu!?"

"You bastard! You're courting death!"

Several of Edrad's companions could no longer hold back their fury and immediately charged at Akira.

"An ambush?"

Akira's expression tensed as he prepared himself, summoning every ounce of his strength.

In the blink of an eye, four Menos Grandes surrounded him.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"

A relentless barrage of Cero blasts filled the air, each explosion leaving massive craters in the landscape. Yet, Akira effortlessly weaved through the attacks, dodging them with razor-sharp precision while countering with calculated strikes, leaving deep wounds on his enemies.

"Damn it, he's too fast!"

Both Nakeem and Shawlong Koufang grew increasingly anxious. No matter how hard they tried, they couldn't land a single hit on Akira.

Forget hitting him—it was difficult even to keep track of his movements!

"This is impossible… Why is this happening?"

From the sidelines, Grimmjow watched the battle unfold, his disbelief growing with every second.

Even though Akira's Reiatsu was weak, his Zanpakutō could easily pierce the defenses of Menos Grande.

Combined with his Shunpo, his speed rivaled that of even some Adjuchas-class Menos Grande—an astonishing feat!

"You all step back. I'll handle this myself!"

After assessing the situation, Grimmjow barked an order.

At that moment, the four Menos Grandes momentarily hesitated. Akira seized the opportunity.

He reversed the grip on his Sword of Oath of Victory, and in an instant, the Wind King's Barrier erupted in reverse!

This specialized technique allowed him to propel himself forward at three times supersonic speed!

At this velocity, the Menos Grandes had no time to react—Di Roy Rinker was decapitated in an instant!

Following up with a whirling slash, Shawlong Koufang's head flew high into the sky!

"No!"

The remaining Menos Grandes cried out in horror, but Akira was relentless.

Now that his surprise attacks had been exhausted, he switched tactics—choosing to overpower them with sheer force!

He channeled an immense amount of spiritual energy into his Sword of Oath of Victory, aiming it directly at Ilfort Grantz.

"Boom—!"

A concentrated beam of light, akin to a laser cannon, pierced straight through Ilfort's body, leaving no chance for survival.

Within moments, three Menos Grandes had fallen to Akira's blade!

Even Grimmjow struggled to process what had just happened. But once the realization set in, his rage exploded.

"I'LL KILL YOU!!!"

With a furious roar, he lunged at Akira—only to be evaded at the last second by Shunpo.

Now recognizing his opponent, Akira's expression hardened.

"So this is Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez… He's already an exceptionally strong Adjuchas. With my current depleted spiritual power, fighting him head-on would be unwise. I need to retreat."

Though Akira sought a challenge, his survival was paramount.

Without hesitation, he used Shunpo to put as much distance between them as possible.

"Bastard! Don't run!!"

Grimmjow and Nakeem immediately gave chase, their movements blurring across a kilometer in an instant.

Halfway through the chase, both Grimmjow and Nakeem kept attacking Akira, but with little success. Even Nakeem was gradually falling behind.

"No, that Shinigami's Shunpo is too fast! I can't keep up!"

Realizing the vast difference in speed and that even Akira's shadow was becoming indistinct, Nakeem had no choice but to stop, panting in frustration.

Grimmjow, however, was an exceptionally fast Adjuchas, specializing in speed, so he barely managed to keep up with Akira.

"Tsk, this guy's as annoying as a fly."

Glancing back to see Grimmjow still hot on his tail, Akira felt immense pressure. His spiritual power was only at the level of a standard Shinigami, and the relentless high-intensity battles, along with constant use of Shunpo, were pushing him to his limits.

"Hahaha! You're dead!"

Seeing Akira's speed waver slightly, Grimmjow's eyes gleamed with bloodlust as he prepared to pounce.

At that moment, a sudden Cero blasted through the air, striking the ground between Grimmjow and Akira with a deafening explosion.

"Boom!"

The attack didn't hit either combatant but effectively halted Grimmjow's charge.

"Who!?"

Grimmjow turned angrily toward the source of the Cero and saw an Adjuchas-class Menos Grande standing in the distance. The figure had distinctive horns on their head.

"I am Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, and you've trespassed into my territory," the newcomer declared.

Her voice was soft yet unwavering. Though her tone carried a hint of gentleness, there was firm resolve behind her words.

"I dislike needless killing. Since you're in my domain, I ask that you cease this fight."

"Hah! You're dreaming! Why the hell would I listen to you?!"

Grimmjow scoffed, his expression twisting with irritation. Without hesitation, he began charging another Cero, crimson energy gathering at his mouth.

Seeing his aggressive stance, Nelliel narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth. "If either of you insists on fighting, then I will be forced to side against the aggressor."

Instead of being deterred, Grimmjow only grew more enraged.

"Oh yeah? Let's see if you can back that up!"

With a roar, he fired his Cero directly at Nelliel.

Unfazed, Nelliel retaliated in an instant, and the two Adjuchas-class Menos Grandes clashed in a fierce battle.

Watching from a safe distance, Akira couldn't help but smirk.

"Well, this is an unexpected turn of events…"

He quickly recognized Nelliel—one of the future first-generation Arrancars and the future Espada No. 3, known for her incredible strength. However, she was a unique Hollow, possessing a gentle and kind nature, vastly different from the usual bloodthirsty tendencies of her kind.

"This works out for me. I'll just sit back and let them tire each other out."

With that thought, Akira moved to a safe distance, sat down, and focused on recovering his strength while observing the chaotic battle unfold.
