Chapter 5: Chapter 5

"What do I need to do?" Izuku asked, his tone steady and serious.

Shigaraki leaned back with a grin that felt as sinister as his voice. "It won't be anything too dangerous—not yet, anyway. You're quirkless, after all, and we don't want you dead just yet. What we need from you is simple: kill someone. Call it a test of commitment."

Izuku froze, stunned by the request. His hands balled into trembling fists. "W-Who?" he asked, his voice tinged with both fear and curiosity.

Shigaraki smirked. " Sato Nakamura. Also known as Tip. Quirk..."

Izuku cut him off, his voice suddenly cold and precise. Though his words were steady, there was an undeniable bitterness beneath them.

"Quirk: heads up. His quirk allows him to see what will happen to himself in the next five seconds. When in danger. It won't activate again until those five seconds pass. It only gives him one 'tip' at a time. Not very useful unless you know how to use it Properly."

Izuku paused for a moment before continuing, his expression Darkening.

"He's one of the heroes who let my mother die... Is this what you meant by leaving my past life Behind?"

"It's killing two birds with one stone, isn't it?" Shigaraki replied, his grin widening. "Prove yourself to us and get one step closer to revenge."

Izuku looked down, lost in thought. Shigaraki wasn't wrong. Deep down, izuku didn't mind the idea of killing him. Fat thought alone Disturbed him slightly, but the real issue wasn't his hesitation—it was how he could kill someone who could see 5 seconds into the future.

"I'll do it," Izuku said after a moment of silence, his voice unnervingly natural. "But I'll need some time to gather information."

"That's perfectly fine," Kurogiri replied. "As long as the task is completed, will provide you with any equipment or resources you need."

---

A week and a half past. Izuku spent the first week watching Sato Nakamura, studying him, and occasionally pretending to be a fan to gather more information. The remaining time was spent meticulously crafting a plan. He only had 5 seconds to take Nakamura down, and those five seconds had to count.

His first attempt was clumsy. Disguised as a fan, he tried to get close enough to strike but failed. Nakamura's quirk alerted him, and kurigiri had to teleport izuku away before he was discovered.

The second attempt was far more calculated.

Attempt Two

Izuku wore a mask, ensuring his identity would remain hidden if he failed again. The masks color scheme match Nakamura's hero costume—an intentional choice to make himself appear as a devoted fan.

He approached Nakamura in a crowded area, feigning panic. "P-Please, I need your help! Someone's injured—she's bleeding badly. I don't know how much longer she can hold on!" Izuku cried, his voice cracking and hiccupping as he stumbled over his words.

Nakamura, the ever–dutiful hero, placed a reassuring hand on izuku's shoulder. "It's going to be okay, kid. Just stay calm and lead me to her. I'll handle the rest."

Izuku nodded frantically, leading the hero down a quiet alleyway. His acting skills—perfected from years of hiding his emotions at home—were serving him well.

"Hurry! She's just around the corner!" Izuku said, his voice trembling.

Nakamura followed closely behind. As he turned the corner, he froze—Izuku had vanished.

Before Nakamura could react, his quirk activated, showing him the vision of a knife flying toward him. He dodged it effortlessly, but in that same instant, a second blade buried itself into his spine.

Izuku had anticipated Nakamura's reflexes and planned accordingly. The second strike hit its Mark, paralyzing the hero instantly. Nakamura collapsed to the ground, his limbs lifeless. The five-second window had closed.

"Sato Nakamura," Izuku said, standing over him. "You know, I really despise you."

The injured hero coughed, blood dripping from his lips. "W-Wait, kid... You did this? Who told you to—are they forcing you? Are they holding your mother—"

"MY MOTHER IS DEAD!" Izuku snapped, his voice shaking with rage. "She died because of you and the other so–called heroes!"

"What are you talking about? I've never killed anyone in my life!" Nakamura shouted weakly.

Izuku's expression darkened further. "Don't lie to me. Shall I refresh your memory?"

He kicked Nakamura in the stomach with all his strength, sending him sliding back a few inches. Nakamura coughed violently, more blood pooling beneath him.

"Let's take a little trip down memory lane, shall we?" Izuku said, his voice unnervingly calm. We've got time. Why not?"
