Chapter 5: Chapter 5: The Hunt Begins
The town of Ashwood had become a labyrinth of dangers and traps. Alex ran through the streets, trying to find his way out, but every time he thought he had found the right path, Spy would change it. The people around him were still in a trance, unaware of what was happening.
Alex stopped at a corner, panting, and looked around. The town seemed to have changed, with streets and buildings he didn't recognize. He knew Spy was manipulating him, but he didn't know how.
Suddenly, he heard a noise behind him. He turned around and saw a figure running towards him. It was a girl with long, dark hair, and a terrified look on her face.
"Help!" the girl screamed. "She's chasing me!"
Alex was shocked, but he didn't have time to react. The girl lunged at him and grabbed his arm.
"Come on!" she screamed. "We have to get out of here!"
Alex let the girl lead him, and together they ran through the streets. The girl seemed to know the city, and Alex realized that she was playing the game too.
"Who are you?" Alex asked, as they ran.
"My name is Maya," the girl replied. "And I'm here to help you win the game."
Alex was surprised, but he didn't have time to ask more. Maya led him to an abandoned building, and there they hid.
"We need to rest," Maya said. "And plan our next move."
Alex nodded, and together they sat on the ground. Maya took out a map of the city and unfolded it.
"The exit from the city is on the other side of the city," she said. "But Spy has created a maze of traps and obstacles so we can't get there."
Alex shuddered, knowing that the game was getting worse. But with Maya's help, maybe he could win.
"What plan do you have?" Alex asked.
Maya smiled, and Alex saw a spark of determination in her eyes.
"We're going to play the Spy game," she said. "And we're going to win."
Alex laughed, feeling a sense of hope. Maybe, after all, she could escape the city and win the game. But Spy wouldn't give up easily. The hunt had begun, and only time would tell who would be the winner.
