Break The Silence

Chapter 16: Chapter 16

"It's dangerous, you remember last time he went to epilepsitic state and we had to stopped his sessions." Dr. Lee denied Taehyung's demand to provide art supplies to Jimin.

"It's because I mentioned Jisun!" Kyungmi interrupted. "I triggered him when he secretly wanted to seek help." She said, it seemed clear that she regretted her choice.

"Kyungmi is right! Maybe mentioning Jisun seemed threatening to him and that's why he reacted like this." Taehyung said desperately, he leaned closer and pointed at the sketches. "Look at them! Jimin gave us a biggest hint, he shows us what he sees everyday and how he feels but nobody did anything for him, so he began to believe that nobody cared about him." He explained in a single breath.

Taehyung's eyes seemed passionate about Jimin, though there was no hope, but still Taehyung wanted to prove that giving up on him was a completely wrong decision. It was a mistake that Dr. Lee made. "What if we make him feel like we care about him, we are ready to listen to him." He gasped a long breath.

As a psychologist who helped many patients and solve many mysterious along with police, Dr. Lee hesitated to accept his failure. Jimin screamed for help silently, but nobody heard him back then, he was shove back to the depth of darkness since last decade. It was a truth that nobody could change, no matter how much anyone hesitated.

Dr. Lee now strongly believed that Taehyung shared something special with Jimin, he sensed a deeper connection between them, and it seemed more than the mere patient who was silent for a decade, and a psychologist who came to help.

Dr. Lee took a few minutes of pause and then looked at the sketch where Jimin had written the words *"Help me!."* It was indeed hard to find those words, but Taehyung solved this hardest puzzle, which meant that Jimin was never completely silent, he was just ignored and unheard mistakenly.

Dr. Lee took his glasses out, his face turned solemn, as he finally accepted his defeat. "Dr. Kim! It's quite surprising, even I couldn't observed that hidden message but you found out in two days." He said, he looking at Taehyung, who seemed anxious and disappointed,"It seems like you have a special connection with Jimin." Dr. Lee pointed.

Taehyung's eyes widened for a moment, caught off guard by Dr. Lee's comment. He quickly looked away, his jaw tightening as if he was trying to hide his emotions. "It's not like that," he muttered, his voice quieter than before. His fingers fidgeted with the edge of his coat, a nervous habit he couldn't shake. The room felt heavier now, and he avoided Dr. Lee's gaze, unsure of how to respond to the unexpected remark.

Kyungmi, sitting next to Taehyung, looked shocked when Dr. Lee mentioned the deep connection between Taehyung and Jimin. She turned to Taehyung with wide eyes but said nothing.

"I don't know if it's a special connection," Taehyung said quietly, his voice shaking a little. "I just… I see how much Jimin is hurting, and I can't ignore it. I know he's trying to tell us something, and I can't give up on him. Not now."

Dr. Lee sighed. "You're right. Jimin's sketches do seem to hold meaning, and perhaps we've been too cautious. But we need to be prepared for any risks if we move forward."

Kyungmi finally spoke, her tone soft but serious. "If we're going to do this, we need to make sure Jimin feels safe. We can't push him too hard or remind him of what hurt him before." She glanced at Taehyung, her expression conflicted. "But… maybe you're the one who can reach him, Taehyung."

Taehyung nodded, determination filling his eyes. "I'll do whatever it takes to help him. We owe him that much."

Dr. Lee leaned forward, his voice calm but firm. "Alright. We'll try giving him the art supplies again, but we'll go slow. No surprises, no pressure. Let's see if this helps him open up."

Taehyung smiled faintly, hope flickering in his chest. "Thank you." He greeted, as he stood up and gathered the sketches, "Ahh what about bringing him ack to the fourth floor?" He asked before leaving.

"I'm trying to convince the administration, it's hard so let see if they allows or not." Dr. Lee replied.

Taehyung nodded, he then made his way out of the room.

Kyungmi waited until Taehyung left. "What connection you were trying to mention?" She asked curiously.

Dr. Lee furrowed his brows, "Why you're inquiring about Dr. Kim?" He asked before answering her.

Kyungmi shrugged her shoulders, "Ex boyfriend!" She said without hesitation.

"But you're still in love with him." Dr. Lee said, with a soft chuckle.

Kyungmi's face turned red, and she looked away, nervously tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "I… I don't know what you're talking about," she mumbled, her voice barely above a whisper. She avoided Dr. Lee's gaze and shifted uncomfortably in her seat, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of her sleeve.

Dr. Lee smiled knowingly. "It's alright, Kyungmi. You don't have to admit anything to me," he said gently, leaning back in his chair.

Kyungmi bit her lip, still staring at the floor. "I just asked without any specific reason!" she finally said, her voice soft. She glanced at the door where Taehyung had left, her cheeks still flushed, and quickly changed the subject.

Dr. Lee opened his laptop, he played the video when Jimin had an epilepsy episode and Taehyung comforted him. "The way Taehyung acted that day, it seems quite visible that he was trying to remind something to Jimin, maybe an old memory." He said.

Kyungmi looked surprised, she knew Taehyung very well, his family, his friends circle, he never mentioned anything about Jimin, yet the way Taehyung blew his breath on Jimin's palm, it was clearly expressing their affection and unexplainable bond.

Jimin looked at Taehyung for a moment, his eyes searching as if he was trying to recognize something. It was like Taehyung's kind gesture felt familiar to him, but his memories were too blurry to hold onto. Kyungmi couldn't figure out what was happening, but she noticed the deep pain in Taehyung's teary eyes.

Curiosity began to grow in her heart. She couldn't stop wondering, why did Taehyung care so much about Jimin? Why did he seem so hurt?.
