Break The Silence

Chapter 21: Chapter 21

Taehyung noticed the flickering bulb through the window, its unsteady light casting eerie shadows across the room. The air around Jimin's room felt unnaturally cold, far colder than the other rooms in the building.

"Open this room quickly." Taehyung commanded in a loud voice.

Mr. Kwon quickly approached the padlock and inserted the keys, twisting it back and forth. " It's not working." He said.

Taehyung widened his eyes in bewilderment, waves of anger crashed over him,"It should work, didn't you brought the right keys.?" He growled, his voice trembled through the anger.

"I brought the right key, but it still not working." Mr. Kwon replied, nervously, Taehyung's deep glare blocked his senses for a moment, he quickly controlled himself.

Taehyung threw a strong punch at the iron door, not caring about the pain it caused him. He pushed his hair back and looked around, searching for something he could use to break the door open, but as I'd the entire world began to work against him.

Kyungmi stood behind Taehyung, sensing his anxiousness. "Calm down, Taehyung." She said, Patting his shoulder.

Taehyung shook her hand away, his gaze darkened as he looked at her in furious."My brother is locked inside, how the fuck I can calm down." He yelled, gasped a long breath.

Kyungmi stared at Taehyung in complete disbelief. At that moment, Taehyung didn't realize what he had just revealed, but it definitely left her mind spinning.

Kyungmi stared at Taehyung in complete disbelief. At that moment, Taehyung didn't realize what he had just revealed, but it definitely left her mind spinning.

Taehyung, a well known psychologist and a famous Psychopath killer Jimin, who brutally murdered his younger brother, could be brothers, the fact not just shocked Kyungmi, but Mr. Kwon as well.

Taehyung met with their questionable gazes but he didn't regret to reveal the truth, he kept hidden ever since he arrived. Taehyung and Jimin were fraternal twins, separated by their fate at a very young age, it was a truth that nobody could change.

"Why you're looking at me? Bring something to break this fucking door." Taehyung shouted.

Mr. Kwon blinked his eyes, "I...I'll ho down and bring something to break the door." He said, making his way to the stairs.

Taehyung stood there, his mind racing with worry for Jimin. His hands clenched into fists, and he could feel his anger rising. "Why isn't it working?" he muttered to himself, pacing back and forth.

Kyungmi watched him, her expression filled with concern. She wanted to say something, but after knowing that Jimin and Taehyung were brothers, she understood how intense the situation was for him.

Mr. Kwon quickly went to get something to break the door open, but Taehyung couldn't wait any longer. He stepped forward and began to push the door with his shoulder, trying to force it open. His body pressed against the cold metal, but the door wouldn't budge.

Taehyung gritted his teeth in frustration, giving it another hard push, determined to get inside and reach Jimin. His muscles strained with the effort, but the door stayed locked. Every second felt like an eternity as his worry for Jimin grew stronger.

After few seconds of wait, Mr. Kwon finally returned with a large hammer in his hands. Using his all force he hit the padlock until he broke it into two pieces.

Taehyung pushed Mr. Kwon aside and stepped into the room without hesitation, while Mr. Kwon stood at the doorway, afraid to get involved in any trouble. Meanwhile, Kyungmi made the decision to enter the room as well.

"Don't go inside, something is wrong." Mr. Kwon said.

"I can't leave Taehyung alone." Kyungmi replied, heading inside the room.

Taehyung's heart raced when he stepped inside the room. The cold air hit him like a wall, so freezing any human could barely breathe. He shivered, through the cold temperature. His worry for Jimin grew even stronger as he looked around, trying to make sense of what was happening.

Jimin lay on the cold floor, his body barely clinging to consciousness as each breath came in shallow, labored gasps. His face had turned pale, and a tremor ran through his body. Blood trickled from a deep wound on his forehead, staining his skin, while scratches marked the delicate skin around his neck. A rope, crafted from a bedsheet, tangled around his neck, evidence of the pain he had endured.

Taehyung quickly stepped forward, carefully untied the rope and threw it aside. He gently lifted Jimin and pulled him close. "Don't worry, Jimin. I'm here... I won't leave you alone."

In the meantime, Kyungmi stood besides Taehyung, her mind tangled and she couldn't make any assumption. Suddenly, she momentarily shifted her gaze on the wall, where Jisun had written a threat using Jimin's blood.

"Leave him alone."

"Tae\_Taehyung." Kyungmi called his name.

Taehyung looked at Kyungmi, as he stood up while carrying Jimin in his arms, then he followed her gaze. For a moment, Taehyung froze, his heart began to thud loudly in his chest, as he read the message. His grip on Jimin tightened, anger and fear rushed through him.

"What you both are waiting for?" Mr. Kwon shouted, "Take him out of this hospital." He said.

Taehyung now realized that the situation was dangerous and he needed to protect Jimin at any cost. Without waisting any further second, Taehyung made his way out of the room, as well as Kyungmi, who now looked petrified.

The lights in the hospital suddenly began to flickered, a symbol of a negative energy. For some reasons, Taehyung knew it was Jisun, who wanted to stop them, but Taehyung decided to make a quick move, he knew if tonight he left Jimin alone, then for Jimin there would be no turning back, he would be trap in a mental hospital forever. Kyungmi and Mr. Kwon led the way, using their mobile torches to light the path.

Taehyung followed closely behind, still carrying Jimin in his arms, his worry growing with every passing second. Frantic screams from both patients and staff filled the hospital, no one understanding what was happening. But Taehyung didn't care about anyone else at that moment, his only concern was Jimin.

They quickly made their way to the ground floor, but the chaos escalated as they walked quickly and reached outside of the hospital. The further they moved, the more the sense of danger intensified. Kyungmi rushed ahead to the car, her footsteps quick and urgent. "I'll drive," she said as she opened the car door.

Mr. Kwon, turning to leave, added, "I need to head back." Taehyung felt a pang of guilt for leaving the hospital behind, but he couldn't do anything, as his only concern was Jimin's safety.

Without hesitation, Taehyung placed Jimin gently in the passenger seat, making sure he felt as comfortable as possible despite his condition. He quickly slid on the other side of back seat, "Let's leave!" He asked Kyungmi.

Kyungmi nodded, she quickly started the car, and without a moment's delay, they drove through the hospital street. Without knowing where they supposed to go.

As soon as they left, a short-circuit hit the hospital and drowned the entire building into the depth of darkness. However, Taehyung didn't even bother to look back, his mind raced with multiple thoughts and he looked concern for Jimin.
