Chapter 436: 436 : Impeding storm
In the dimly lit corridor of the underground prison, the air was thick with tension. Das, stood outside the laser barrier of a cell, his eyes fixed on the disheveled figure within.
Inside the prison, Viper continued to stare at him like an arch enemy. Her face got discoloured and she lost her vigour. She used to be a beauty queen when he had captured her in shadow clan, months ago. Torture had marred her beauty, but her spirit, fierce as ever, blazed in her eyes.
"Guess it's your lucky day," Das said, his voice dripping with mock sympathy as he signaled the commander to deactivate the barrier.
Viper's gaze didn't waver. "Is my sister here?" she questioned, her voice a blend of hope and anger.
Das chuckled. "Oh, so you know Amara would come for you. Yes, she's here, begging for your life," he taunted.
"Lies," Viper spat back. "If Amara is here, then this island is under my family's control now. And I'll finally have the chance to behead you for taking my chastity."
Das laughed, a cold, heartless sound. "Stop dreaming. Your family is nothing but an underdog now. A lot has changed since you've been here. Your brother is dead, and your family is on the brink of war with Aries family and..."
"Wait... why i'm i saying all this to you. Soon you will forget everything about me. What's the point of wasting my time here?!" Das muttered in self questioning way.
Viper's heart sank, but her face remained defiant. "What do you mean? What are going to do?" she asked, recoiling back as Das began to approach her with a predatory slowness.
"Don't worry, I won't hurt you," Das said, his grin wide and unsettling.
"Wait... please," Viper stammered, panic rising in her voice. "I won't tell anyone about your secrets. Please... Don't do this to me"
But Das was no longer listening. In his hands, a whirlwind of purple cosmic energy of the Sylvester family began to form, swirling with a power that was both terrifying and mesmerizing. Viper's eyes widened in fear as the energy crackled in the air, its ominous glow illuminating Das's face.
"Your time has come, Viper," Das whispered, his voice barely audible over the hum of the energy. "But don't worry, you will join your sister soon."
Her plea was cut short as Das raised his hand, channeling the ancient power of the Sylvester family heirloom. A radiant, purple cosmic energy enveloped his hand, swirling with an otherworldly light. Viper's eyes widened in terror, realizing the impending doom.
"Your memory will be no more," Das whispered, his voice echoing ominously in the chamber.
The cosmic energy surged from his hand towards Viper, enveloping her in a blinding light. Her memories, her identity, her very essence seemed to dissolve in the glow. She reached out, a final act of defiance, but it was futile.
As the light faded, Viper collapsed to the floor, unconscious, a shell of her former self. Das stood over her, his expression inscrutable. The power of the Sylvester heirloom had done its work, erasing Viper's memories, leaving her a blank slate.
Das turned away, his mind already on the next move in this high-stakes game of power and revenge. Viper, once a formidable adversary, was now just a pawn forgotten in the shadows of the past.
In the aftermath of the confrontation with Viper, Das instructed the commander to prepare her for transfer. "Ensure she is delivered in good shape," he ordered with a final glance at the unconscious figure. "It's time to end this chapter."
Leaving the prison, Das returned to the Skull Tower, its imposing structure casting a long shadow over the island. Thea, greeted him with urgency, leading him to the top floor. The room at the tower's peak, shrouded in secrecy and filled with maps of the Skull organisations territories, awaited his arrival.
Eden was already there, her face a mask of calculated calm.
"How did your meeting with the Farus family princess go?" Das inquired, his tone laced with curiosity.
Eden responded with a hint of pride. "She agreed to our terms. Initially, she tried using her family's influence as leverage, but I handled it. The Aries family prince is en route; the exchange will happen tomorrow."
Das nodded in approval but noticed Eden's hesitation. "What's the concern?" he probed.
"What if Viper speaks about your identity? To the hidden families, you're still just a city thug." Eden's worry was evident.
Das smiled reassuringly. "That won't be an issue. I've erased her memory. She won't even remember Skull Island, let alone our faces."
Relieved, Eden embraced Das, their kiss a statement of trust and alliance, oblivious to Thea's presence. Sensing the intimacy, Thea discreetly exited the room, leaving them to their private moment.
Meanwhile, near the sea shore of skull island (Where Das had six with Eden ;-p), Princess Amara paced restlessly in her uncle's presence.
"This is unprecedented," she lamented. "The Skull Island dared to demand the Aries family princes in exchange for Viper. We've always had leverage with the prince as our hostage, but for my sister, I have no choice."
Her uncle's expression was grave. "They were planning dangerous game, Amara. The balance of power is delicate. We must tread carefully."
Amara's resolve was unwavering. "I understand the risks. But Viper is not just my sister; she's a symbol of our family's honour. We must protect her at all costs."
As the night deepened, plans were set in motion. On Skull Island, Das and Eden refined their strategy, aware that the exchange would be a turning point in their long-standing rivalry with the Aries family.
As the moon cast its silvery glow over Skull Island, Das stood in the solitude of his private chambers. The night was deep and quiet until his phone broke the silence, a call from Maria, his key operative in India. Her voice was tense, urgent.
"Das, sorry to disturb you in that late night. Natalia is hiding this news from you, worries that you will get hurt" Maria said in a hurried manner.
"What do you mean? Is something happened in Mumbai?" Das questioned as he stood up from his seat.
"Yes. There's trouble in Mumbai. General Harries Singh, one of the commander of Indian Army has encircled your villa with his troops. He's demanding a meeting with you," she reported, her tone laced with concern.
Das's initial reaction was one of anger. Abdullah family villa in Mumbai is his home and family, and the idea of it being under siege was unacceptable. But as Maria continued, his anger gave way to calculated interest.
"General Singh has been waiting for over two weeks to meet you. He's gone to extreme lengths, Das. This isn't just about the villa; it's something bigger, he is here to form a peace meeting between hidden families." Maria explained.
Das paced the room, his mind racing. "They're planning a peace meeting, then? Interesting," he muttered to himself. The news of the impending war between the Aries and Farus families was already on his plan, and this new development added another layer to the unfolding drama.
Das saw an opportunity in the General's unexpected move. "Very good," he said, more to himself than to Maria. "The Aries and Farus families are on a collision course, and no peace meeting will change that. But let's see what this is about. I'll be in India tomorrow. Arrange for me to meet with General Singh."
The night's stillness on Skull Island was a stark contrast to the brewing storm that Das was about to enter. As Maria continued her update over the phone, her words painted a complex picture of alliances and schemes that extended far beyond the boundaries of Skull Island.
"The Taurus family has become increasingly entangled with the Aries," Maria reported. "Their actions are suspicious. They've been collecting virgin girls and searching for ancient artifacts. And there's something else – Princess Maya of the Taurus family seems particularly interested in you."
Her laughter at this last piece of information was a brief moment of lightness in the heavy conversation. Das, however, remained focused, his mind already weaving through the implications of each piece of intelligence.
The mention of Princess Maya piqued his interest. Her curiosity about him could be a strategic point to exploit in the future. But for now, his priority was the impending conflict between the hidden families.
Maria shifted to discussing the corporate wars unfolding globally, with the hidden families now openly engaging in business rivalries. These conflicts were creating ripples across the world, affecting markets and governments alike.
Das absorbed every detail, his mind working overtime to analyze the information. "I'll see you at the airport tomorrow afternoon," he said finally, his tone resolute. The call ended, and Das was left alone with his thoughts.
In the quiet of his room, he contemplated the intricate web of politics and power he was about to navigate. The potential war among the hidden families was a golden opportunity for him to have a chance to control the hidden family heirlooms.
His thoughts turned to war strategy, to the delicate balance of power and the art of manipulation. He envisioned scenarios, each move calculated to turn the tide in his favor. The pieces were falling into place, and Das was ready to make his play.
As the night deepened, Das finally allowed himself to rest, his mind still churning with plans and possibilities. The next day would mark the beginning of a new chapter in his conquest, one that would require all his cunning and resourcefulness.
Unbeknownst to him, the other families were also making their moves, each with their own agendas and secrets. The stage was set for a showdown that would reshape the landscape of power, and Das was at the heart of it, a mastermind ready to unleash the storm.
