Chapter 541: The Trade Convention Begins!
Qing Lin carefully took the Nine-Colored Primal Stone, examining the very fine and last colorful stripe. Although small, it was undeniably genuine! This additional tiny stripe immediately skyrocketed the stone's value.
"It's truly a Nine-Colored Primal Stone. This should greatly enhance Medusa's bloodline power!" Little Doctor Fairy was also amazed at the sight of the Nine-Colored Primal Stone, an opportunity like this was truly rare.
A Nine-Colored Primal Stone was equivalent to the Dragon Phoenix Origin Fruit they had obtained in the Dou Saint relics before! If this could enhance Medusa's bloodline to the level of a Nine-Colored Swallowing Python, it would be on par with the bloodline of the Great Void Dragon Royalty! Such a rare opportunity indeed.
"I'll give this Nine-Colored Primal Stone to Medusa who is currently in seclusion," Xiao Ze said, storing the stone into his space ring and speaking cheerfully to the two. "Let's go and experience the highest standard trade convention on the continent. Perhaps you will find some techniques or combat skills that suit you."
Hearing this, Little Doctor Fairy and Qing Lin felt a surge of anticipation. Acquiring a Nine-Colored Primal Stone at the Space Trading Convention had heightened their expectations.
The trio proceeded to the end of the street. Unlike the bustling area they had just been in, this place was quiet and desolate. An ancient pavilion stood there, exuding an aura of enduring the ages, formidable and commanding respect.
In front of the pavilion, two old men in gray robes stood with their eyelids drooped, statue-like with an unyielding presence. However, the formidable aura they emitted made them impossible to ignore.
These two, guarding the entrance, possessed auras of Six-Star Dou Zun level! Such powerhouses, even among the top forces of Zhongzhou referred to as the "Two Sects," would be esteemed guests.
The three major forces responsible for hosting the Space Trading Convention had placed two Six-Star Dou Zuns here as both protectors and deterrents. This was to give pause to those who might think of causing trouble at the convention, making them reconsider the consequences of offending these major forces.
Naturally, not just anyone could enter this revered pavilion. Only those recognized by the three major forces and possessing an invitation could step inside.
Before reaching the pavilion, Xiao Ze flicked a jade card towards the gray-robed old men. One of them caught it smoothly. Seeing the card, their expressionless faces slightly changed, acknowledging the power represented by it. They bowed to Xiao Ze and his companions.
One of the old men waved his sleeve, and three black cloaks flew towards them. "Esteemed guests from the Pill Tower, these are cloaks crafted by our sect, capable of shielding one's presence," he explained, a rarity given the usual reticence here. "After all, it is best to remain inconspicuous since the convention attracts all sorts, and one could easily become a target."
"Thank you," Xiao Ze responded, taking a cloak and draping it over himself.
Soon, they were cloaked and led by another gray-robed old man into the ancient pavilion. Guided by the old man, they walked deeper into the pavilion and after a few minutes, stood before a large bronze door.
The old man respectfully bowed to them and then quietly disappeared. Xiao Ze didn't hesitate; he pushed open the bronze door, and light spilled out, revealing a hall about half the size of a town square.
The hall was already filled with many figures seated on stone chairs. As new arrivals were noticed, eyes turned to try and discern the identities of Xiao Ze and his companions. However, the black cloaks perfectly shielded them from prying eyes.
Xiao Ze glanced around; most were also in black cloaks, and he felt no need to probe these concealed figures.
He led Little Doctor Fairy and Qing Lin to a secluded set of stone chairs, waved his hand to create a spatial barrier around them, ensuring privacy from eavesdroppers—a common practice here as reflected by the spatial ripples around others in the hall.
They casually chatted, looking forward to the upcoming trades. While they waited, more participants arrived, including a duo that made Xiao Ze take a discreet second glance. It seemed that his older brother and the old medicine man hadn't missed this event. Considering the crowd, Xiao Ze decided against recognizing them publicly.
As the hall filled, reaching over a hundred powerful attendees, a clear, resonant bell chimed throughout the hall.
Immediately, an ancient figure who appeared close to his last breaths, materialized in the center of the hall, twisting through space. Despite his frail appearance, the attention and wary respect he commanded from the crowd revealed his formidable power.
"A Nine-Transform Dou Zun at the pinnacle, barely a step from the Half-Saint level, presiding over the convention?" Qing Lin remarked in surprise.
"Only such a powerhouse could keep in check so many strong attendees," Little Doctor Fairy explained with a smile. "He must be the master of the Treasure Mountain Pavilion, famous for his sharp eye for treasures, a well-known veteran among the strong."
"Welcome to this Space Trading Convention," the old man said, waving his sleeve to create a spatial prison around him for protection. "This is customary, I hope no one minds," he chuckled lightly. "Without further ado, let the Space Trading Convention begin."
With a gesture towards the distorted space before him, a pair of ghostly white bone wings appeared, with sounds of wind and thunder hidden within them.
"The first item for trade today is the renowned Spectral Phoenix Wings," he announced. "Those familiar know that if these wings are used to craft a flying combat skill, your speed will far exceed others at the same level, an essential for killing or escaping."
"The owner of these phoenix wings seeks an Eight-Grade pill struck by four-colored thunder. If interested, please start your bids."
