Chapter 10: Ye Chen's Path to Power"

Ye Chen walked over.

Seeing him approach, Du Xiaoya immediately lowered her head, feeling both nervous and shy. Even though she had made her decision, she still hadn't fully given herself to him.

Ye Chen looked at her from head to toe and asked, "Shall we rest?"

"Mm..." Du Xiaoya responded softly.

Her gentle reply ignited a fire within Ye Chen. Without hesitation, he lifted her into his arms and carried her toward the bedroom.

There are many exhilarating moments in life—earning the top spot on a prestigious list, the night of one's wedding. Right now, Ye Chen was experiencing one of them. The woman he had long fantasized about was now within his grasp. It was impossible not to feel excited.

Inside the room, the warm glow of the lights cast flickering shadows on the walls. Outside the window, the wind rustled, and a soft drizzle began to fall.

---

At dawn, Ye Chen slowly opened his eyes.

Du Xiaoya was curled up beside him, clinging to his arm like a koala. A smile crept onto his lips.

"I didn't expect to win the grand prize..." he muttered to himself.

Du Xiaoya was stunning—many had pursued her, yet she had chosen him. Ye Chen had assumed she had been in previous relationships, but last night had proved otherwise.

Carefully, he slid his arm out from under her and got out of bed. After freshening up in the bathroom, he changed into a designer outfit prepared by Andy.

Looking at his reflection in the mirror, he smirked. "Not bad."

Clothing makes the man, after all.

Before leaving, he glanced at the still-sleeping Du Xiaoya but didn't wake her. Instead, he sent her a message on his phone and transferred one million yuan to her account.

Though she had never mentioned money, Ye Chen felt it was the right thing to do. With his immense wealth, such an amount was merely pocket change.

Leaving the presidential suite, he found Andy waiting outside.

"Mr. Ye, would you like a car?" Andy asked.

Normally, hotels didn't provide private cars, but Ye Chen was no ordinary guest. Having spent nearly a million yuan on his stay, he was entitled to special privileges.

Ye Chen nodded. "Yes, I have a lot to do today."

Andy smiled. "Understood, sir. I'll arrange it immediately."

Ye Chen headed for the private elevator, and Andy quickly followed, pressing the button for him. Unlike regular floors, the presidential suite had its own exclusive elevator, ensuring that Ye Chen never had to wait.

As soon as he stepped into the lobby, several female receptionists noticed him and immediately stood up, bowing politely.

"Good morning, Mr. Ye," they greeted in unison.

The hotel's standard policy was to keep VIP guest details confidential, but the staff always recognized their most esteemed patrons. This level of courtesy was reserved only for the elite.

Other guests in the lobby, either checking in or out, were surprised by the sight. Though they had seen hotel staff greet guests before, the level of respect shown to Ye Chen was unprecedented.

He acknowledged the receptionists with a nod and a smile.

Just then, one of them hurried over. "Mr. Ye, your car is ready."

He stepped outside and saw a black stretch Lincoln parked at the entrance. Next to it stood a well-dressed, middle-aged foreign man with blond hair.

Ye Chen raised an eyebrow. A foreign chauffeur? The hotel really goes the extra mile for luxury service.

As he approached, the man placed a hand over his chest, bowed slightly, and spoke in fluent Chinese.

"Good morning, Mr. Ye. I'm your driver, Jack. Please let me know where you'd like to go."

Ye Chen was mildly impressed. Not only does he speak Chinese well, but he also knows the city. He must have lived here for years.

"Just take me around to different new developments," Ye Chen instructed.

With his wealth system, investments were crucial. Today, he was planning to spend—and make—even more money. His target? Buying entire residential complexes.

Jack nodded. "Understood, sir."

He opened the car door for Ye Chen, shielding the roof with his hand to ensure his passenger didn't bump his head. Once Ye Chen was inside, Jack gently closed the door, then swiftly got into the driver's seat.

Moments later, the luxury car smoothly pulled away from the hotel and into the bustling city streets.
