"…Gilgamesh is enraged. It seems—she's going all out." Tokiomi Tohsaka's face was grim as he listened to Kirei Kotomine's report through the jeweled communication device.
Unleashing one's full power on the first night of the Holy Grail War was a risky move. With so little information about the other Servants, a decisive victory wasn't guaranteed.
While Tokiomi was confident in Gilgamesh's power, the Einzbern's three Servant-class combatants were a cause for concern.
He looked at the Command Spells on his hand, his brow furrowed. Should he restrain Gilgamesh, or allow her to engage the Einzbern?
"A decision must be made!" Kirei's voice echoed from the communication device.
Tokiomi gritted his teeth, his gaze fixed on the Command Spells. He sighed. "Let her fight. But I want a detailed report on everything that happens."
"Understood."
....
"You bastard…!" Gilgamesh's voice, filled with rage, echoed through the container yard.
Haru, feeling the weight of her killing intent, looked at her, his brow furrowed in confusion. "Are you—calling me a bastard?"
Gilgamesh's heavy breathing slowed as her face softened, a smile. almost pleasant, appearing on her lips. But the murderous aura around her only intensified. "I was wondering why your gaze felt so familiar, so—repulsive. Now I understand. You're a child of Inanna, aren't you, mongrel?"
Haru's expression turned strange. He remembered. The blood of all the Earth Mothers from the Campione! world flowed through his veins, and that included—Inanna.
And Inanna, in Mesopotamian mythology, was the goddess who had proposed to Gilgamesh and fallen in love with Enkidu, then, upon being rejected, had orchestrated her beloved's death. Seeing the barely suppressed fury in Gilgamesh's eyes, Haru felt a shiver of unease.
"I was wondering how a Magus could block Diarmuid's attack, and with such an abundance of magical energy," Rider said, scratching his head. "So he's a demigod, eh?"
"But aren't the Gods supposed to be dead? How can there be a demigod?" Waver asked, his voice filled with confusion. This contradicted everything he'd learned about the Age of Gods.
Seeing the certainty in Gilgamesh's expression, even Saber and Kiyohime, and Illyasviel, who knew Haru best, looked at him with a flicker of doubt in their eyes.
"I have the blood of a Goddess, yes. But I'm not a demigod. Just a descendant," Haru said.
"It doesn't matter what you are, Haru-sama. Kiyohime loves you!" Kiyohime declared, throwing her arms around him, her voice a cloying purr, then she glanced at Saber and Illyasviel, a triumphant smirk on her face.
Neither Saber nor Illyasviel understood the concept of competing for affection. They simply stared at Kiyohime, their expressions bewildered.
Gilgamesh's composure finally shattered. She stared at Haru, her eyes wide with shock.
"No, It's not just Inanna—You carry Enkidu's blood as well! Within you!" Her voice was filled with a mixture of rage and—betrayal.
Haru's eyes widened. He remembered. Enkidu, in the Campione! world, was an agricultural God—another Earth Mother Goddess.
"That bitch, she seduced her! And they had a child!" Gilgamesh roared, pulling out a golden key.
A golden ripple appeared in the air, and she reached into the Gate of Babylon, pulling out a sword.
It wasn't a sword in the conventional sense. Three cylindrical sections, joined together in a spiraling pattern, radiated an ancient, divine aura.
It was a weapon that had witnessed the creation of the world, a relic from the dawn of Mesopotamian civilization.
"And Enkidu she dared to betray me?! You'll all die! The bastard child, and this entire world! All of you!" Gilgamesh gripped Ea, her voice filled with rage.
"Jealousy over a past lover…" Haru murmured, seeing the fury in Gilgamesh's eyes, the Ea now poised to strike. His face turned serious.
He wrapped an arm around Kiyohime's waist, his body radiating a soft, platinum-gold light—a light that was warm, not blinding.
The Sword of Salvation materialized in his right hand.
"Awaken, Ea!" Gilgamesh roared, raising the sword high above her head.
The three cylindrical sections began to spin, their movement slow, yet carrying the force of a tectonic shift, unleashing a torrent of magical energy.
Gilgamesh's eyes were vacant, her gaze unfocused. She didn't need to aim. Ea's target wasn't Haru; it was the world itself.
"Enuma Elish!"
The sky groaned, the earth trembled, and the sea churned.
The very concept of reality distorted as spatial rifts, tearing at the fabric of space, raced towards Haru.
"Come forth, Star of Bethlehem! Come forth, Sword of Salvation!" Haru hurled the Sword of Salvation skyward, and the Platinum Star, formed from countless Divine Artifacts, materialized above him.
The planet within his soulscape resonated with the Platinum Star, channeling a massive surge of Earth's power into it.
The miniature platinum planet, its true power unleashed, drew upon the limitless energy of the ley lines, wielding a blade capable of cleaving planets and shattering the Heaven.
Rider, sensing the imminent danger the moment Gilgamesh drew Ea, had already snapped the reins of his Gordius Wheel, the chariot racing away, carrying Waver with him.
Saber, scooping Illyasviel into her arms, sprinted in the opposite direction.
They fled, desperately trying to escape the impending collision.
The world-rending power of Enuma Elish clashed with the planet-splitting force of Sword of Salvation.
BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
The clouds above were blasted away, the earth bathed in the harsh light of unshielded starlight.
The Counter Force, already present in Fuyuki City, concentrated its power, focusing it on the container yard, attempting to contain the catastrophic blast.
The world's laws, bent and twisted by their intervention, restricted the destructive force to a fifty-meter radius, creating a stalemate.
Rider, having reached a safe distance, sighed in relief, slapping Waver on the back. "Hahaha! Good thing we ran! That was close! It seems the Counter Force has taken notice. We should stay clear of that area!"
Waver, his head spinning from the chariot's high-speed flight, slumped against Rider, unconscious.
"Hey! Stay with me, boy! We need to get you to a doctor!" Rider cried, his face a mask of concern as he turned the chariot towards Fuyuki City.
"Are you alright, Illyasviel?" Saber asked, setting Illyasviel down on the roof of a nearby building.
"I'm fine. But, Haru and Kiyohime…" Illyasviel's voice was filled with worry as she looked towards the container yard.
Saber, seeing the shockwaves still rippling through the air, fell silent.
At the heart of the blast, the air crackled with spatial distortions as Haru and Gilgamesh glared at each other, their eyes locked in a silent battle of wills, both pouring more and more magical energy into their attacks.
Then, Tokiomi Tohsaka's voice rang out. "By my Command Spell, I order you, Gilgamesh, return to my side!"
