Chronicles of Merslin 1: Mage of the Hidden Tongue

After their time in the hot springs, Merslin's party set off for Orcadia Village, a peaceful riverside town. However, the village was in turmoil due to frequent murloc raids.

Upon their arrival, they were greeted by Toran, the village elder, who wore a worried expression.

"The murlocs have been attacking every night. Many are injured, and our supplies are being stolen. We desperately need your help," Toran pleaded.

Merslin and his companions immediately started investigating. They followed tracks along the riverbanks and eventually discovered a swampy murloc village. The area was filled with bubbling water and eerie croaks of "Arohl-Arohl!" echoing from the creatures.

Elena pointed toward a cave entrance hidden behind the thick swamp fog.

"This must be their main base. We need to be careful."

Merslin nodded and signaled the group.

"Get ready. We'll need to work together for this one."

The Murloc Battle

As soon as they approached the murloc camp, the creatures noticed them and immediately attacked, croaking loudly.

"Arohl-Arohl-Arohl!"

Elena summoned a lightning spear and hurled it at the advancing murlocs.

"Beongaechang (Lightning Spear)!"

The lightning surged through their bodies, electrocuting several of them instantly.

Lisa raised her shield, blocking a barrage of spears before counterattacking with her sword.

"Come at me! You fish-faced freaks!"

Merslin conjured a massive fireball and unleashed it upon the murlocs.

"Hwayeom Bulkkot (Infernal Blaze)!"

Flames engulfed the enemy ranks, forcing them into retreat. At the same time, he summoned a Hydra, its three heads spewing flames into the battlefield.

Serena darted through the chaos, using her poison dagger to take out key enemies.

"You won't defile this forest any longer!"

Aria remained in the back, supporting the team with healing magic.

Her glowing aura quickly closed wounds and restored energy.

Elena raised her spear high as Merslin chanted an incantation. Ice crystals began to form around them as a massive blizzard mixed with electric energy filled the battlefield.

The storm of ice and thunder tore through the murlocs, freezing and electrocuting them simultaneously.

The Black Serpent Cult's Interference

After subduing the murloc leader, the group explored their lair and discovered mysterious symbols and magical residues.

Serena furrowed her brows.

"These markings… This isn't something murlocs could do on their own."

At that moment, Black Serpent Cult shamans appeared from the shadows.

"Intruders! You dare desecrate the altar of Nagaar?! You shall perish for your insolence!"

Merslin's eyes narrowed.

"So this wasn't just a random attack. The Black Serpent Cult is behind this…"

The cultists unleashed serpentine summons—massive spectral snakes slithered into existence, their bodies radiating dark energy.

"Brace yourselves! These things aren't ordinary!"

Serena dashed forward, poison dagger in hand, aiming for the snakes' weak points.

Lisa switched to a two-handed greatsword, slashing through their scales.

"I'll carve you into sushi!"

Merslin tried using fire magic, but the snakes barely flinched.

"Damn it, fire isn't working! We need a new strategy!"

Elena nodded.

"Then let's freeze them first!"

She threw her spear high into the sky, and a blizzard formed above.

Merslin followed up immediately.

The combination of ice and lightning shattered the snakes into frozen fragments.

With the Black Serpent Cult's shamans weakened, the team launched their final attack. Serena snuck behind them and landed a deadly backstab, while Lisa charged forward with her shield to knock down their leader.

Merslin finished it with a fiery explosion.

With the cultists defeated, they searched the lair and found documents revealing the cult's goal—the revival of Nagaar, the ancient serpent deity.

They returned to Orcadia Village and met with Lina, the town librarian, who analyzed the documents.

"If they succeed in reviving Nagaar, it will bring catastrophe to this land."

Merslin clenched his fists.

"Then we must stop them before it's too late."

With determination burning in their eyes, the party set their sights on the Black Serpent Cult's hideout, ready to face their deadliest challenge yet.
