Coiling Dragon: Reborn As The Armored Razorback Wyrm

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: The Banquet and Rewards

Sadius ultimately decided to open his cavern as the headquarters for the Magical Beast Alliance.

As for the sealed magic formation inside the cavern, Sadius did not believe anyone would dare destroy it within his own headquarters.

If an opponent powerful enough to defeat Sadius were to break in... well, if he couldn't handle them, then drawing his sword and fleeing, perhaps even releasing one or two Deity-level experts, wouldn't be unreasonable, would it?

"Sadius, we three brothers saw the stone sculptures inside the cavern. Are those your handiwork?"

"I merely dabbled in the human art of stone carving."

The three naturally knew Sadius was being modest. Across the entirety of the Yulan Continent, there were only a handful of true stone-carving masters. The stone statue of the Armored Razorback Wyrm sculpted by Sadius could undoubtedly be considered a grandmaster's work.

As Sadius led the three Violet Gold Stone Eater Rat Kings toward the cavern, he noticed that the other Saint-level magical beasts hesitated to enter.

"What's the matter?" Sadius glanced at them.

"Alliance Leader, we cannot enter this cavern," the Saint-level Tyrant Dragon said.

"The Lord of the Forest of Darkness once issued an order forbidding us from entering this place."

Several beasts nodded in agreement, their gazes shifting toward the three Violet Gold Stone Eater Rat Kings. They all knew the relationship between the Rat Kings and Beirut.

"Haha, so that's the case. Rest assured, from now on, you are free to enter and exit as you please. We will inform Father about this," the eldest Rat King, Harry, said.

The Saint-level magical beasts were immediately delighted.

"Thank you, Rat Kings."

As Saint-level magical beasts, they were well aware of how dense the elemental essence was inside the cavern—a rare and precious place for cultivation. However, since that mighty figure had forbidden them, they hadn't dared defy the command.

But now, with that figure's sons giving them permission, they were naturally overjoyed to finally cultivate within the cavern.

A host of magical beasts followed behind Sadius and the three Rat Kings as they entered the cavern.

The entrance was narrow, allowing only Saint-level magical beasts capable of transforming their size and a few Rank-Nine rodent-type magical beasts to enter.

Even the two massive dragons, as well as the Fire Dragon and Green Dragon, had to wait outside.

Seeing this, Sadius asked everyone to wait for a moment.

He then transformed his fingers into blades and casually widened the entrance tenfold.

Now, a great number of Rank-Nine magical beasts followed behind the Saint-level beasts into the cavern.

"Come along, you two as well," Sadius called out to the Fire Dragon and Green Dragon. These two Rank-Eight dragons had followed him for a long time and were on the verge of breaking through to Rank-Nine. Naturally, Sadius wouldn't neglect his loyal subordinates.

The two dragons were overjoyed and followed him inside.

The moment the magical beasts stepped into the cavern, they were struck with awe by the numerous sculptures within.

Carved along the cavern walls were lifelike statues of various magical beasts, surrounding the chamber in an impressive display.

"Look, big guy, this is me! So beautiful! Yours looks so ugly," Liyah teased as she pointed at two rodent sculptures.

One by one, the magical beasts found statues of their own kin within the cavern.

"Sadius, your cavern lacks sculptures of the Violet Gold Stone Eater Rats. It feels incomplete," the third Rat King, Harvey, remarked.

Sadius's eyes gleamed. Could he truly carve the Rat Kings?

There was a vast difference between carving them on his own initiative and receiving permission from them.

If he carved them himself, it would merely be a piece of art.

But if the Rat Kings requested it, that was a form of tactical support!

If the Rat Kings backed him, wouldn't that mean Beirut himself was supporting him? And with Beirut's support, which Saint-level being in the Yulan Continent would dare disrespect him?

"Elders, how could I dare carve your statues without your permission? If you are willing, I would be honored to sculpt them now."

The three Rat Kings were pleased by Sadius's tactfulness and respectful tone.

"Helasor, is our Alliance Leader always this polite?" the Thunderclap Lightning Leopard asked quietly.

"Uh... I suppose?" The Saint-level Tyrant Dragon didn't dare speak too freely—Sadius was not someone to trifle with.

"Let's wait until after the banquet. We've brought some fine wine; let's enjoy it together," Helasor suggested.

With a casual wave of their hands, the three Rat Kings produced an abundance of fruit wine.

This was no ordinary fruit wine from the Yulan Continent—it came from the Infernal Realm, something even Deities greatly enjoyed.

Meanwhile, Sadius had begun butchering the two Saint-level magical beasts.

Only his razor-sharp claws made such an endeavor easy. Anyone else would have struggled immensely.

Enormous slabs of meat were cut and passed to Fire-element magical beasts, who began roasting them. Soon, the mouthwatering aroma of cooked meat filled the cavern.

The magical beasts salivated at the scent.

And with that, the banquet began.

Since only magical beasts were present, there was no need for human formalities, making for a lively and relaxed atmosphere.

The fruit wine brought by the three Rat Kings was truly remarkable, leaving the magical beasts feeling spiritually invigorated.

As the Fire Dragon and Green Dragon consumed the Saint-level meat and wine, their bodies emitted a faint elemental glow.

It seemed the two dragons were on the verge of breaking through to Rank-Nine.

As leaders of their respective Fire and Green Dragon clans, they had already been at the peak of Rank-Eight for some time. Their prolonged stay in the Misty Valley, combined with consuming significant amounts of Saint-level magical beast meat, had finally allowed them to break through their bottlenecks and ascend to Rank-Nine.

Several other Rank-Nine dragons were present—Silver Dragons, Black Dragons, Swordback Dragons, Frost Wyrms, and two Raptor Dragons.

They all offered their congratulations.

Sadius was delighted as well.

Now, it was time to reward those who had contributed to the battle against the Radiant Church.

"Helasor, Ravenclaw, Bearking, Violet, Leopard."

Sadius called forth five magical beasts.

The five immediately understood—they were about to receive their rewards.

From his interspatial ring, Sadius retrieved five items.

Among them were the magic cores of a Blood-Eyed Mane Lion and a Thunderwing White Tiger, as well as three other Saint-level magic cores.

He had to thank the previous Radiant Church Pope, Heidens, for these treasures—without them, he wouldn't have had sufficient rewards for his subordinates.

"These five magic cores are aligned with your respective attributes. This last one, a Light-element Dragon Core, I originally intended to gift to one of my subordinates. However, Violet, as you are a Light-element magical beast, it suits you best."

Sadius gazed at the Saint-level Golden Dragon's Light-element Dragon Core, recalling the tearful human girl he had once encountered.

Regaining his focus, he proceeded with bestowing rewards upon the Rank-Nine magical beasts.

Although their rewards weren't as grand as those for Saint-level beasts, they were nonetheless highly suitable for their advancement.

Every beast present received a treasure to aid them in their path to Saint-level.

Among them, Liyah and Nien received the greatest rewards—almost on par with those given to Saint-level beasts.

Nien was granted a small piece of Black Obsidian.

This rare treasure, found in the previous Pope Heidens's interspatial ring, was highly prized among the Violet Gold Stone Eater Rats.

However, Black Obsidian was incredibly tough; Nien would likely need assistance from a powerful Fire-element beast to properly consume it.
