Coiling Dragon: Reborn As The Armored Razorback Wyrm

Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Prime Saint Fain

As Dolin Baruch returned to Heidens' side, the Pope of the Radiant Church did not immediately sense anything amiss.

Heidens commanded Dolin Baruch to form up into the battle formation.

Without hesitation, Dolin merged with five other Two-Winged Angels, forming an Angelic Battle Formation.

The two Angelic Formations charged toward Sadius once again.

This time, Heidens was determined to go all out—he had to kill Sadius before anything unexpected could happen.

He had already lost six Saint-level Angels—he couldn't afford to let this battle drag on any longer.

As Heidens controlled the Angelic Formation to crash into Sadius—

One of the formations suddenly changed course and collided directly into the other!

BOOM!

A massive wave of Light elemental energy exploded outward from the impact.

Heidens was completely stunned.

"What… what just happened?!"

Before he could process it, Dolin Baruch suddenly erupted into action, swiftly slaying the five Two-Winged Angels beside him.

"Impossible!" Heidens' expression twisted in disbelief.

How could an Angel of the Radiant Lord betray him?!

Angels were supposed to be emotionless weapons of war, their previous selves erased during the Angelic Descent Ritual.

"The Radiant Church… I will have your heads!" Dolin Baruch's radiance intensified, and he charged toward the remaining Angelic Formation.

Sadius grinned.

"You're not fighting alone!"

A Saint-level Peak magical beast and a Late-Saint Stage Four-Winged Angel—the two of them teamed up and attacked the battle formation with terrifying force.

BOOM!

The six Saint-level combatants were instantly blown apart, their battle formation shattered.

Sadius seized the momentum and immediately killed another Saint.

Dolin Baruch focused solely on Heidens, launching a relentless assault.

Without the protection of the battle formation, the remaining Saints were no match for Sadius.

Within moments, another five Saints were slain.

"Damn it!" Heidens panicked.

At this point, he knew he was no longer Sadius' match.

"Fain if you don't help me now, consider our agreement void!" Heidens suddenly shouted desperately.

At those words, Sadius' eyes narrowed.

Fain?!

The War God's First Disciple? The Prime Saint of Lightning?!

"Haha, Heidens, don't be so impatient."

A booming voice echoed like rolling thunder.

A figure appeared in the sky, moving like a streak of lightning.

Fain had arrived.

All the Saint-level combatants momentarily halted their battle.

The appearance of a Prime Saint powerhouse was no trivial matter.

"Damn it," Sadius muttered.

No wonder Heidens was still so confident despite suffering such massive losses—he had Fain backing him up!

"You must be Sadius, the Saint-level Armored Razorback Wyrm," Fain spoke casually.

Their gazes locked.

Sadius carefully observed Fain.

This man had been at the Limit of the Saint Realm for centuries, never able to take the final step into godhood, but his strength was undeniably terrifying.

Among all Saint-level combatants on the Yulan Continent, no one had ever defeated Fain in battle.

"Fain, I assume Heidens has offered you something valuable for your assistance?" Sadius asked.

Fain merely smiled faintly.

"I simply heard that a powerful Saint-level Armored Razorback Wyrm had appeared in The Mountain Range of Magical Beasts," he said. "So I came to take a look. Perhaps… even take you as my contracted magical beast."

Sadius let out a low, guttural chuckle.

"If you won't say it, I'll guess. The only thing the Radiant Church could offer the War God Mountain is… the faith of the common people."

Fain said nothing, but his silence confirmed Sadius' suspicions.

The Radiant Church's defeat would allow O'Brien Empire to expand its influence, gaining millions of new believers.

No wonder Fain had been biding his time, waiting for the Church to suffer heavy casualties before stepping in—this way, O'Brien Empire's gains would be even greater.

"Fain, the deal Heidens made with you—I can offer something better."

Fain raised an eyebrow.

"If we conquer the Holy Union's territory, I can divide it equally between the O'Brien Empire and my Magical Beast Alliance."

Heidens' expression darkened.

Sadius was offering a far more tempting proposal than anything the Church could.

However, Fain simply shook his head.

"Sadius, stand down. The order of human civilization is not something a single magical beast should seek to overturn."

Human lands had always been ruled by gods, not by Saint-level magical beasts.

No matter how powerful Sadius became, the War God and the High Priest would never allow it.

"So that's how it is," Sadius said coldly. "A beast like me isn't allowed to challenge human rule?"

Fain's calm gaze remained unchanged.

Sadius smirked.

"Then it looks like we have no choice but to fight."

Sadius wasn't foolish enough to believe he could defeat Fain.

Even with his Soul Mutation and Profound Mysteries, he stood little chance against defeating a Prime Saint just one step from becoming a Deity, but he also wouldn't be killed.

There was only one option, take this battle on solo to give time for his forces to retreat.

"Helasor, retreat immediately with the Magical Beast forces."

Helasor's expression changed.

"Alliance Lord—!"

"That's an order." Sadius replied coldly.

Fain nodded slightly.

"I have no interest in slaughtering ordinary Saint-level magical beasts," he stated.

Sadius turned to face Fain, his eyes burning with fighting spirit.

"Very well then… Sadius of The Mountain Range of Magical Beasts challenges Fain, the First Disciple of the War God!"

The battle was about to begin.
