Coiling Dragon: Reborn As The Armored Razorback Wyrm

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Threefold Soul Mutation—Ultimate Form

Deep underground, the spikes along Sadius' back fully extended.

His entire body shimmered with a deep violet luster, and his claws grew sharper than ever.

Within his mind, two Dragon Crystals—one black, one violet—radiated an aura of immense power.

Both Dragon Crystals had now grown to the size of a complete, fully-formed crystal.

Originally a Rank-Nine Armored Razorback Wyrm of the darkness element, Sadius had now become a dual-element Armored Razorback Wyrm, wielding both darkness and destruction. Yet, his strength had yet to break through to the Saint level.

What mattered next was whether his soul could grow stronger.

At this moment, Sadius' soul was already extremely weak, flickering like a candle in the wind.

Only by undergoing a Soul Mutation and continuously strengthening could he awaken.

Otherwise, even if his body advanced to the Saint level, his fate would be death.

Within Sadius' mind, the black and violet Dragon Crystals clashed, Darkness and Destruction battling ceaselessly.

Yet amidst this silent war, a faint, almost imperceptible presence began to grow.

Compared to the darkness and destruction elements, this new presence was as delicate as a drifting thread.

But precisely because of its emergence, Sadius' soul finally started to recover.

Slowly, a small, earth-yellow Dragon Crystal took shape within his mind.

A third Dragon Crystal. A third element had awakened.

This was the earth-elemental affinity brought by Sadius' transmigrated soul.

His Darkness Affinity stemmed from his original body—its sole innate talent, yet one shackled by its bloodline, making a breakthrough to the Saint level extraordinarily difficult.

His Destruction Affinity had been awakened through six years of relentless comprehension of Bloodviolet's killing intent.

But this newly born Earth-Elemental Affinity was Sadius' true, inherent talent as a transmigrator—something even he had not been aware of.

It was only under these unconscious circumstances, where his body instinctively absorbed the elements of the world, that this Dragon Crystal had managed to form.

The birth of the Earth-Element Dragon Crystal, in turn, helped Sadius' soul survive its most perilous moment, triggering his true soul mutation.

The rarity of Soul Mutation was beyond imagination. Across the countless Material Planes, the Seven Divine Planes, and even the Four Supreme Planes, those who experienced a Soul Mutation were as rare as phoenix feathers.

A Threefold Soul Mutation was even more unheard of.

Alas, Sadius was not undergoing a Fourfold Soul Mutation.

Otherwise, he would have surpassed even Linley, becoming the first being in the Coiling Dragon universe to attain Will Power through soul mutation.

It was a pity—fourfold soul mutation was the threshold to achieving such a feat.

Still, a Threefold Soul Mutation was already an exceptional miracle.

As Sadius' soul began to grow, the three energies within him gradually fused, their former conflict vanishing.

Under the influence of his soul, these three distinct energies merged into a harmonious whole.

The previously weakest earth-element Dragon Crystal rapidly expanded.

Meanwhile, Sadius' physical body underwent yet another transformation.

The spikes on his back evolved further.

Not only his back—his limbs, too, sprouted spikes, arranged in a formidable, orderly fashion that exuded power.

Only when the earth-element Dragon Crystal had grown to match the size of the other two did the transformation cease.

The three energies within Sadius continued to intertwine, separate, and clash, repeatedly tempering his body.

By this point, his physical strength had already reached the level of a Saint-level magical beast.

Time passed.

A black dragon claw tore through the earth.

The claw of a Rank-Nine Black Dragon brushed against a spike.

Immediately, the Black Dragon's eyes gleamed with excitement as it resumed digging furiously.

Soon, an enormous draconic body was unearthed.

A Rank-Nine Armored Razorback Wyrm!

The Black Dragon gripped the massive body and heaved with great effort, finally managing to drag it from the depths.

But as the Black Dragon gazed upon the wyrm's form, something felt off.

There were still broken spikes scattered on the ground—yet the wyrm's body was fully intact, its spikes present.

Not only that, even its limbs bore spikes.

Was this the same Armored Razorback Wyrm?

Seeing that the wyrm remained motionless, the Black Dragon grew even more delighted.

If it wasn't the same one, all the better!

First, it would finish off this one—then continue digging for the other.

Knowing the tremendous defenses of the Armored Razorback Wyrm, the Black Dragon picked up a broken spike from the ground. Using an Armored Razorback Wyrm's own spike should be enough to pierce its skull.

Clutching the spike tightly, the Black Dragon gathered its strength and stabbed toward Sadius' head.

But just as the spike was about to pierce within half a meter—

A terrifying aura exploded outward!

Sadius' eyes suddenly snapped open.

His golden pupils radiated an indescribable menace.

With a single swipe of his claw—

The spike in the Black Dragon's grip shattered instantly.

Along with its claw.

It was only then that the Black Dragon realized—this Armored Razorback Wyrm had inexplicably come back to life!

Saint-level?!

Fear clouded the Black Dragon's mind.

Should it run? Beg for mercy?

Before it could decide, Sadius' tail lashed out.

The devastating force sent the Black Dragon flying, its body crashing heavily into the ground, reduced to a mangled heap of flesh and blood—lifeless.

Sadius slowly approached, confirming the Black Dragon was dead. He placed a claw on its head, crushing its skull and exposing a black Dragon Crystal.

Lifting the Dragon Crystal, he walked toward a nearby stream, washing it clean before setting it aside.

"A brush with death… Looks like my soul truly mutated. A threefold soul mutation… but not fourfold."

As a transmigrator, Sadius knew exactly what a fourfold soul mutation meant.

Only those who combined water, wind, fire, and earth could hope to transcend. Anything less was insufficient; anything more was undesirable.

Most importantly, a fourfold soul mutation would have rewarded him with Will Power. Who wouldn't crave that?

Shaking off his thoughts, Sadius gazed at his reflection in the water.

His appearance had changed significantly.

His spikes had multiplied, his scales no longer a pure black but now tinged with violet.

"What if I channel only one Dragon Crystal's energy?"

He activated only the Darkness Dragon Crystal.

Immediately, his spikes shrank slightly, particularly those on his limbs, becoming more compact. The violet hues in his scales vanished, returning to a deep, ink-like black.

"That's all?"

Sadius knew that a Rank-Nine dual-element Black Patterned Cloud Leopard could shift its form—activating wind affinity enhanced its speed, while activating darkness affinity boosted its strength, defense, and size.

Testing the destruction Dragon Crystal, Sadius found that violet patterns spread across his black scales, and his claws grew sharper.

However, the difference was minor compared to his default state—only his spikes were slightly smaller.

Lastly, he activated the earth-element Dragon Crystal, which enlarged his spikes but weakened the rest of his form.

Sadius frowned. Did these forms merely divide his strength?

That was worse than his normal state.

Then, a realization struck him.

Separating the three energies within, he felt his body shrink slightly.

"So that's it… My supposed 'base form' was actually my ultimate form all along."

Now, in this shrunken state, he was back to his true base form.

His strength in this state was slightly superior to before his soul mutation.

In his specialized elemental forms, he could match an entry-level Saint-level magical beast.

And in his ultimate form, he could completely dominate one.

"Though I haven't yet broken into the Saint level, my bloodline restrictions are gone thanks to my Threefold Soul Mutation. As long as I comprehend the natural Laws… I'll step into the Saint realm!"
