Chapter 2: Chapter 2: A World Unlike Any Other
The sea breeze blew gently, carrying the salty scent and dampness of the ocean. Waves rolled softly in the distance, as if mocking the man now sitting on the sand with a blank expression.
MC still couldn't accept this reality.
What kind of world is this?
He had no memories of who he was, how he got here, or even what world he was in. But one thing was certain—he felt sick just looking at the orange-haired woman before him.
She was still watching him with an amused expression, a faint smile playing on her lips.
"Aren't you going to ask who I am?" she said, crossing her arms casually.
MC just stared at her coldly.
"Why would I care?"
The woman raised an eyebrow, then chuckled softly. "Oh? How rude. Most men fall for me at first sight, but you're different."
She turned slightly, letting the sea breeze play with her long hair. "My name is Nami. I'm a navigator… and a businesswoman."
MC didn't know why, but something about the way Nami spoke made it impossible for him to trust her.
Don't trust women.
A faint voice echoed in his mind, though he had no idea where it came from.
"And you?" Nami studied him curiously. "What's your name?"
Silence. His mouth opened slightly, but no words came out. No name surfaced in his mind.
MC clenched his fists. Do I even have a name?
Seeing his reaction, Nami smiled. "So, you don't know either, huh?"
She sighed before crouching down in front of him. Her eyes locked onto his, so close that MC could smell the salt and the faint scent of citrus from her.
"How about I give you a name?" she murmured playfully.
MC immediately turned his face away, clicking his tongue. "I don't need your help."
Nami giggled. "So stubborn."
She stood up again and extended her hand. "How about this? You come with me, and I'll help you figure out who you are."
MC looked at her hand.
To trust or not to trust?
His mind screamed no. But his weak body had no other choice.
With a heavy heart, he finally accepted her outstretched hand.
And without realizing it, he had just taken the first step on a journey that would change his life forever.
