Chapter 31: Chapter 31: The First Sail Toward the World
The morning sunlight shone over Bluehaven Harbor as MC and Nami stood on the deck of their new ship. The waves lapped gently against the hull, as if welcoming the start of their journey.
Captain Roderick leaned against the wooden railing, watching them with a faint smile. "This ship may not be large, but it's sturdy enough to sail the seas. I call it Blue Horizon—a fitting name for adventurers like you."
Nami walked around the deck, running her fingers over the wooden planks with admiration. "This ship... it's perfect." Her eyes sparkled with excitement she couldn't hide.
MC, noticing her expression, gave a small smile. "You really like this, huh?"
Nami turned to him with a playful grin. "Of course! I finally have my own ship. This means I can start making my dream come true."
MC crossed his arms. "So, where are we heading first, Miss Navigator?"
Nami pulled out a map and studied the sea before them. "Our first destination is Saffron Island. I've heard there's a grand library there that holds ancient navigation records. Those will be extremely useful for drawing the world map."
MC chuckled. "So we're starting this adventure by... studying?"
Nami shot him a sharp glance. "Hey, mapping the world isn't just about sailing across the ocean. I need references! If you don't want to come, feel free to swim somewhere else."
MC raised his hands in surrender. "Alright, alright. You're the boss."
Captain Roderick chuckled. "You two argue like an old married couple."
Nami immediately choked on her breath, her face turning red. "W-What?! No way!"
MC simply smirked. "Oh? You denied it pretty quickly. Could it be that you secretly like me?"
Nami narrowed her eyes before stepping closer, leaning in until their faces were just inches apart. "And if I did like you, what would you do?"
MC froze for a moment, caught off guard by her bold response. His lips parted slightly, but before he could say anything, Nami suddenly pulled back and let out a small laugh. "You're too easy to tease."
MC sighed, shaking his head. "You're seriously dangerous."
Captain Roderick only laughed harder. "Hahaha! You two are bound to create plenty of interesting stories at sea."
Raising the Anchor
Moments later, they raised the anchor, unfurled the sails, and let the wind carry them away from Bluehaven Harbor. The city gradually shrank in the distance as the vast ocean stretched endlessly before them, filled with mysteries and adventures waiting to be discovered.
MC stood at the side of the ship, feeling the salty sea breeze against his face. "So, this is the beginning of our journey."
Nami stood beside him, smiling. "Yes. The world is vast, and we've only just taken our first step."
With hearts full of excitement and a clear goal ahead, they sailed toward the horizon, ready to face whatever lay ahead.
And for MC, one thing was certain—this journey was more than just mapping the world. It was a voyage toward dreams, freedom, and perhaps… something even more.
