Chapter 23: CHAPTER 23:THE BLOOD
Here's a revised versi
After the four-handed creature attacked, Hikaru barely dodged and countered with an Ether Blast. However, the creature was relentless. With all four hands, it grabbed Hikaru and smashed him into the ground.
"You're strong," the creature growled before lunging forward. Hikaru tried to use a Speed Spell to get behind it, but it caught him mid-movement and delivered a crushing blow. Hikaru gasped in pain. He couldn't break free. Then, in a horrifying moment, the creature sank its teeth into his flesh.
Hikaru's body stiffened. His vision blurred. He could feel something spreading inside him—a sinister transformation beginning.
Meanwhile, at the Fire Center in India, Tatsuya, Ryo, Takeshi, and Emi were training intensely when they spotted a strange figure—a man with ten heads.
"What… is that?" Takeshi whispered, his eyes widening.
Even Onkar, the Fire Center's head, seemed unsettled. But before he could react, the ten-headed being lunged forward and, in a swift motion, killed him.
The entire center froze in shock. The students gasped. Their leader was gone in an instant.
Without hesitation, Ryo launched an Ice Orb at the creature, striking it directly. The monster barely flinched.
"I am Raone," it said, its ten heads speaking in eerie unison.
Takeshi unleashed a powerful Water Wave, stunning Raone for a moment. But before he could press forward, Raone grabbed him and slammed him into the ground.
Emi clenched her fists. "Not again!" she shouted, summoning her Barrage Guns infused with Strength Spells. The bullets rained down on Raone, causing blood to spill from its massive body.
Tatsuya, seeing an opportunity, activated his Blood Vein ability to absorb Raone's blood. But before he could drain it fully, Raone clapped his massive hands together, creating a shockwave that sent Tatsuya flying.
Still standing strong, Raone grinned and began to speak, each of his ten heads representing a different emotion: Greed, Envy, Pride, Ego, Will, Lust, Anger, Delusion, Mind, and Intellect.
Suddenly, their own weaknesses flooded their minds.
Ryo recalled his greed—his desire to have everything others possessed.
Takeshi thought of his pride, remembering how he constantly boasted about being the best in his class.
Tatsuya was consumed by his own guilt—his lust, the shame of past mistakes he could never erase.
Emi thought of her rage, the way she always yelled at her parents, never appreciating them.
But now, they had no time to dwell on their regrets. They had to fight for humanity.
Tatsuya, filled with self-hatred, let out a roar and transformed into a monstrous form—his body covered in blood spikes, wielding a blade formed from his own veins. He lunged forward, stabbing Raone through the chest, destroying Lust and Envy.
Ryo, driven by fury, created a massive Ice Arrow infused with Speed and Strength Spells. He fired it at Raone, piercing Intellect and Greed.
Emi unleashed a barrage that kept Raone stunned, while Takeshi's anger fueled his transformation. His body became a fusion of fire and water, his abilities perfectly balanced.
Summoning everything they had, they prepared their final attacks. Takeshi created a colossal Fire-Water Sphere infused with Strength. Emi charged up a Barrage Ball. Tatsuya sharpened his Blood Spikes, ready to strike.
But before they could execute their final attack, Raone moved.
In the blink of an eye, he leaped toward Tatsuya. No one expected it.
A sickening crunch echoed through the battlefield.
Raone had taken Tatsuya's head.
Silence.
Everyone stood frozen. Horror filled their eyes.
"No…" Emi whispered, her hands trembling.
Takeshi's eyes burned with rage. He screamed, his energy exploding outward in an unstoppable wave.
The Fire-Water Sphere was unleashed.
A tsunami of destruction engulfed Raone.
Ryo, barely holding back tears, fired another Ice Arrow straight through Raone's heart.
With a final gasp, Raone collapsed.
They had won.
But no one celebrated.
Tatsuya lay in a pool of his own blood. Gone.
Other sorcerers arrived, confirming the worst.
Takeshi clenched his fists, his entire body trembling. The loss was unbearable.
At that moment, back in the frozen wastelands of Antarctica, Hikaru lay motionless in the snow.
He knew.
He had only minutes left before he became a hybrid.
