COTE: Bag And Love System

Chapter 4: Chapter 4

"If you have any ideas, Ichinose-san, please feel free to share them."

Hashima Hikaru's encouraging smile conveyed her support for Ichinose Honami to assume a leadership role in public, which would grant her greater autonomy.

After all, we can't pin all our hopes on this archangel. The right thing to do is to keep developing new values.

"When we go to Class A to sell the rules, we can first remove the contract prohibiting secondary sales," Ichinose Honami looked at Hoshinomiya Chie, who was standing nearby watching the show, and suggested, "The contract represents the school's certification, and also proves that we are indeed aware of the rules."

"This approach will likely resonate with the A students."

  "Yes, that's right."

Hashima Hikaru nodded in agreement and continued.

"As I previously stated, class A is the most prestigious class selected by the school. Today is the first day of school, and it is possible that someone in your class has noticed something unusual about the school. However, it is not known if they have set out to buy the rules."

"Given the current market conditions, now is the optimal time to market the rules. I recommend pursuing Class A immediately after receiving the textbooks to maximize your personal benefits."

"This is indeed the optimal moment."

"I have full confidence in Hashima-san's judgment. I will entrust this matter to you."

"I believe Hashima-san can make the best decision."

The B-class students swiftly reached a consensus that, with someone having volunteered, their role was simply to provide support from behind.

"Unfortunately, my power is limited, so when I sell the rules later, I hope Ichinose-san can come with me."

Hashima Hikaru presented his own plan, recognizing the potential value of a collaborative effort to boost the girl's stock price.

"I am willing to contribute to the class as well."

Ichinose Honami was naturally receptive to this proposal.

"Very well, that concludes the update for Class A," Hashima Hikaru's attention shifted to the letter C on the board, "The next target is Class C."

"Class C is ranked below us, so their students are evaluated lower overall. This allows us to adjust our plan to sell the rules."

I'm not sure. Would you be willing to place a bet with me?

  "Bet?"

This prompted a puzzled expression from all the students in class B, including Ichinose Honami, whose countenance revealed her confusion.

"Can you imagine what will happen in a month's time if all the classes are unaware of the school's depth rules?"

"I assume that each class will have more or fewer infractions of the school's rules, resulting in a deduction of evaluation points from the class. Based on the school's class division rules, the probability increases in the order of ABCD."

"This suggests that Class C will experience a greater loss in class evaluation points compared to us, so there is no need to expedite the sale of the rules to them."

Hashima Hikaru proposed waiting approximately seven or eight days, until the points had been deducted unwittingly, at which point the rules could be sold. This approach, she explained, would ensure the greatest profit.

"Not only can I earn personal Class C points, but I can also use this opportunity to distance myself from them."

"What are your thoughts on this plan?"

After concluding his explanation, the students in class B were astounded. They had not anticipated the feasibility of such an operation.

If implemented successfully, it would not only recover some private points but also reduce the evaluation score of Class C, widening the gap with Class B.

This prompted the question of whether the same approach should be used against Class D.

The purple-haired boy, who had previously spoken, had already grasped the situation and offered his perspective.

"Yes, we can postpone the sale of the rules for Class D by about two weeks. As long as we can successfully sign the contracts with Classes A and C, we can ensure that the rules don't leak."

"What if students in these classes notice something unusual and remind their classmates not to break the rules?"

Ichinose Honami attached great importance to Hashima Hikaru's proposed plan, so she took notes with a pen as he explained. The girl intended to fill in the blanks and bring up all the different possibilities.

"Yes, that's why I said bet."

"Moreover, we cannot predict the point consumption of other classes. It is possible that, at a later point, when we collect the points, they will no longer be able to afford it."Hashima Hikaru paused, looked at the classmates, and said in a deep voice, "However, our advantage lies in the information gap, so we can mobilize the whole class to act together."

"If we inquire daily about the status of their classes, we will be able to determine their points and assess their understanding of the school's regulations. This will allow us to adjust the time allocation and enhance the success rate of the plan."

This is the phased harvesting plan I have devised, and I hope you can trust me.

After articulating his thoughts on the board, Hashima Hikaru offered his concluding remarks in an uplifting tone.

"Classmates, the competition between classes has begun. I hope everyone can unite as one. Only in this way can we graduate from Class A together in the future!"

"I wholeheartedly agree with Hashima-san's sentiments and offer my full support!"

  "I agree."

  "I applaud Hashima-san!!!"

The room fell silent as the applause reverberated through the classroom of class B.Hashima Hikaru turned his attention back to Ichinose Honami, who was clapping along with him, her face aglow with a soft smile.

However, there was no indication of this fact.

Hashima Hikaru examined his system panel and outlined his plans, emphasizing his goal to graduate from Class A alongside his classmates.

This should align with Ichinose Ho's stock analysis, but no stock price increase information appeared as before.

The effectiveness of this approach is called into question.

Hashima Hikaru concluded that implementing these changes was essential for increasing the stock price.

At that moment, Hoshinomiya Chie, who had not spoken for a long time, suddenly spoke up.

"Hashima-san is amazing. He was able to come up with a perfect plan in such a short time."

"It was just a sudden idea. Thank you for your praise, teacher."

"Now, can you help the teacher move the teaching materials?"

  "Yes..."

  "Ichinose-san is coming too."

  "OK."

Although Tokyo Kouyouikusei High School is very different from ordinary universities and colleges in terms of school standards, the general layout remains the same. For example, each class teacher's office is located at the end of the first-grade corridor, separate from ordinary subject teachers.

Ordinary teachers are not involved in class competition among students, so their offices are located on the other side of the teaching building to avoid class information leakage.

Hashima Hikaru and Ichinose Honami followed Hoshinomiya Chie side by side as they went to the office to transfer teaching materials.

In addition to this matter, the most important thing is to go to the class teacher's office to print a contract prohibiting secondary resale of school rules. The format of the contract is currently stored on the teacher's computer, which is key to implementing the plan to sell the standards.

  "Tick-tock, tick-tock!"

As the three of them advanced down the hallway, teacher Hoshinomiya, who was in front, seemed particularly happy, humming a tune the boy had never heard before.

Hoshinomiya Chie looked like a high school student, but her voice was as clear and sweet as a child's, which made Hashima feel very interesting.

"Master, might I inquire as to whether there are any positive aspects to be considered?"

Ichinose, an expert at adjusting the atmosphere, spoke to the teacher in a relaxed tone at that moment.

Hoshinomiya Chie responded with a firm yet melodious voice, "Indeed, I am pleased today because I have discovered two exceptional students, and more importantly, they are my students.

"Is that so? That's a truly joyous occasion."

Ichinose Honami is still adapting to the unique manner of speech exhibited by Hoshinomiya Chie, which naturally results in a slightly awkward tone.

"Teacher Hoshinomiya, what time do classes end in the morning?"

Hashima Hikaru had no interest in the trivial conversation between the two; he was preoccupied with more pressing matters.

"Half past eleven, about an hour to go."

As they neared the office, Hoshinomiya Chie paused and addressed the group.

"Today is the first day of school. After the opening ceremony, there are not many tasks to be completed in the morning.Apart from distributing textbooks and dorm access cards, the rest of the agenda includes the election of class leaders."

"After that, everyone can disperse, rest and prepare for tomorrow's new class."

-But aren't you going to move to class A soon? Then, after moving the textbooks, you need to decide who the class leaders are as soon as possible.

  "Understood."

"By the way, the selection process for class leaders in our school is unique," Hoshinomiya Chie interjected with a hint of amusement in her voice, "because there is only one position."

"..."

After considering the implications of the situation, Hikaru Hashima and Ichinose Honami came to an understanding of the implications. The revelation of the institution's fundamental principles provided them with a more comprehensive perspective on the school.

Given that there is only one class leader position, its significance is apparent.

Hoshinomiya Chie observed their expressions and stated in an unconcerned tone, "The term 'class cadre' is merely a designation. It can be replaced by 'class leader,' 'class representative,' or 'person in charge.'"

"The most important thing is that this person leads the class forward."

  "I see."

After observing Hashima Hikaru intently for several moments, Hoshinomiya Chie averted her gaze, directing her attention to Ichinose Honami standing nearby.

"However, the teacher has expressed a preference for Ichinose-san to assume the role of class leader."

"Why is that?""I believe Hashima is a more suitable candidate."

Ichinose appeared taken aback by the teacher's endorsement and hastily conveyed his inability to fulfill the role.

"No, I concur with the teacher's assessment," Hashima Hikaru stated calmly, her gaze fixed on Ichinose's delicate countenance. She continued, "I believe Ichinose-san possesses a distinctive quality that I lack."

  "What is it?"

  "Charm."

Hashima Hikaru's praise was notable for its generosity, particularly given the potential financial benefits of positive feedback.

Ichinose's confidence, which she displayed even in their first meeting, is something that Hikaru admires.

"Ichinose-san's unique skill set can be leveraged to foster unity among classmates, helping to resolve conflicts swiftly."

"I recognize that I may not possess the same skills as Hashima-san, but..."

Ichinose Honami's face showed a slight blush, and she appeared slightly shy.

Hoshinomiya Chie, who was standing nearby and enjoying a melon, could not help but add a prayer.

  "Oh, what youth!"

After admiring the two, she glared at them. The boy on the left was tall and slender, with attractive features, while the girl on the right had a delicate face and a tall figure. Despite the fact that they wore school uniforms of the same color, they looked like a perfect couple, like a couple of models in a magazine.

"Hashima-san and Ichinose-san, I hope you will have a productive working relationship in the future."

"Let's consult the class on the selection of the class leader. Let's address the matter directly."

Hashima Hikaru interrupted Hoshinomiya Chie directly.

"Very well, but the teacher is eagerly awaiting your follow-up, hahaha.

After entering the professor's office in succession, Hashima Hikaru noticed a slender female figure standing inside.

"Hey, Sae-chan, are you here to look for the textbooks too?"

Hoshinomiya Chie appeared to be well-acquainted with her, even addressing her by a nickname.

  "Yes."

It wasn't until she approached that Hashima Hikaru realized that this was a teacher, not Hoshinomiya Chie, who was dressed elegantly in a standard OL suit, a sheer black suit with a white shirt, and her long legs were wrapped in black stockings, outlining a noticeable curve.

While her countenance conveyed a sense of caution towards strangers, her mature and regal demeanor also exuded a different kind of allure.

"I am also here to transfer some textbooks, but I have brought two new students with me. They are two talented students, as I discovered today."

Hoshinomiya Chie introduced the two women to Hashima, stating, "This is Hashima-san, and this is Ichinose-san."

She proceeded to introduce herself to Hashima and the others, stating, "This is Chabashira Sae, the first-year D class teacher. You may address her as Chabashira-sensei."

  "Good morning, Chabashira-sensei."

Hashima Hikaru and Ichinose Honami exchanged polite greetings, but only received a brief nod in response.

The reserved teacher, whom Hoshinomiya Chie fondly referred to as "Sae," swiftly departed without further conversation.

Chie noted that Sae's personality has always been reserved and that she doesn't engage in lengthy conversations, adding that there's no cause for concern.

Hoshinomiya Chie offered this explanation with a smile, but Hashima Hikaru perceived a hint of resentment in her eyes.
