Danmachi- New game in the dungeon

Shade's POV-

Hunting again, It feels good now that I am the one who is doing hunting. At the beginning I wasn't strong enough to hunt in the down floors, so my only work was to scout and collect the drops..... But now I am changed, I am stronger, I am faster and more battle thirsty.

And this sword master has forged for me makes nothing better. I can feel it, this sword is also carving for blood just like me. It wants to feed on the lives of its pray while I want to go on a hunting Spree.

SLASHHH

And I am doing just that rampaging my way through the forest, killing every monster I can while that woman is covering my back. I am not strong enough....

THUD

"Gurrrr" I let out a low growl of pain after being being hit by a bear monster. I am not strong enough.

I merge with the shadow and appear behind it and giving a vertical slash splitting it in half.

Master has promised me that he will give me a very strong armor as good as this sword if I collect enough stones required for it. It will give me a strong boost in my strength and speed as well as a very high defense, I want it. I don't want to relay on others to support me. I will be a predator who will not fear anyone and full fill my end of the bargain.

I still remember when he bind me in his shadows and I couldn't do anything feeling utterly powerless. I don't want to feel that way ever again. I shall not bow my head to anyone again and I will not let anyone look down on me. NO ONEEE....

BUZZZZZZZZZZZ

Looks like all this blood of monsters and battle sound call a huge swarm of insects. No matter, I still want to test something.

"Crystal let me handle them, I want to see what this sword is capable of." I said to that woman as I think this sword has ripped enough lives to see a glimpse of what its capable of.

To my request she just raised an eyebrow and step back standing there with crossed hands silently observing me, likely curious just like me.

After she stepped back I get into position raising my sword in air ready to release all the lives stored in this sword in one go.

EXCALIBUR!!!!!!!!!

I chanted the word for the ultimate attack of this sword and it released all the stored lives in it, releasing a devastating attack. A towering flood of blood red energy which annihilated everything in its path be it living or not, reducing the swarm of bugs into nothing not even their stones remain, what a waste. But this energy is to much for me to hold and I was also knocked back and my helmet flew of my head.

CRASHHH

Crashed back into the trees injured but not gravely. So this is what master has made for me. Now I want that armor even more. More than anything else, I need it to use this treasure in my hands properly. I can't let Excalibur down with being such a weakling, I need more power. As if answering to my resolve it also glowed in its bloody red color.

OHH how much of a beauty you are I can't explain it in words, is this what love is? Do master feel the same way for his treasured sword as well, I heard him calling it lovely and beautiful on several occasion.

"It doesn't matter I am not going to cheat on you Excalibur Morgan." I said to the beauty in my arms while getting up and putting back my helmet to fight more as we both have a thirst for battle and blood that is yet to be satisfied...

Just than I felt it, a connection between me and her was formed like I can sense and call her from miles away and the same goes for her as she healed me with the newly ripped lives from that swarm on her own accords.

Meanwhile Crystal was looking at them with a weird and confused look but suddenly she turn toward other side locking her gaze on a birdwoman thing flying away.

Unknown's POV-

When I was passing through the forest floor I heard a commotion so I flew toward it. There I saw two adventurers fighting groups of monsters and collecting their loot. It was not a special sight for me but what special was that the numbers of monsters.

The melee warrior was weaker than the mage but stronger than average and the mage was the strongest mage I have ever seen.

Soon all that sound and smell of blood attracted a huge swarm of bugs. Luckily I was in the opposite side to which swarm was coming. Then I saw the warrior step up to the swarm alone while mage just step back and cross her hands observing. From the looks of it that warrior was thinking of fighting them alone.

What happened next surprised me he chant something in his deep and loud voice and a flood of blood red energy wiped the whole army out but that wasn't the most surprising part. The power of the attack was to much for him to handle and he got knock backed and his helmet came out.

His head was made up of shadow with black mist/smoke coming out of it and a single bright red dot at the center of head for an eye. A WAR SHADOW that's what he was but intelligent just like us. And he was also running around with a surface dawdler, disguised as one of their own but she seems to be calm like she knows already and just shaking her head seeing him like that.

Is this what Fels said about them finding a way for us to walk on the surface? Walking in disguise with one of them whom we will trust.

I have to tell everyone about it. Thinking that I flew away but suddenly I felt that mage's gaze on me, just observing me and not attacking thankfully.

Rain's POV-

After those two cause that commotion we had to leave but avoiding people was not that hard with my map.

Now after more than half a day we were resting at the entrance of 25th floor the water city. We spend a bit more than necessary time in the above floors as there was a lot of crafting resource to gather there as well as those gem fruit trees I want to grow in my garden. But shades was the one who fought those green dragons, as he wanted just that.

I also got a interesting news from Shades that Excalibur seems to come to life so I postpone the inspection till now and he seems to be pretty attached to it as well.
