Dark Magus Returns

Chapter 1121: An Important Request

Going around the town of Flendon, Raze had been looking for where Safa would be, hoping that she just might be able to help with his problem. The sun was out, which was strange to see for him, since he had gone into his secret cellar when the sun was out, and it was still out.

Although he could stay awake, sleep was still something he enjoyed doing on occasion. Asking Fixteen, he had been sent to a particular location, an area located by the Lake. It wasn't near his base but was near the very tip of where the lake ended.

An area that had plenty of greenery around it, and when one walked through several pathways, there was a large house of sorts, nearly as big as the Town hall itself.

There was a nice green pathway of grass leading up to the house. "This is where they're staying, what type of inn is this?"

Although it wasn't as big as the manor at which Raze had just come from in Alterian, due to how the house was built with the scenery and the view of the lake in mind, it was certainly a place that could compete with it.

"Hey Raze, you're here!" Liam said as he waved from the balcony down. "Everyone was wondering where you were and what you were doing. We've just been getting ready for things ourselves."

Liam quickly jumped down from where he was, landing on the grass, and had a smile on his face. While he had his hands held out.

"…what are you wanting?" Raze asked.

"Ah, I heard that you were making a load of items for everyone that could be used in the fight against Alter. You know since I'm weak and all, I thought you would hand me some items."

Raze had walked straight past Liam as he answered. "I don't have any items for you, Liam, and you should know that you're not weak."

Raze's words were true; he didn't think Liam was weak at all. With him and the other two by his side, the three were a force that could take on the highest of middle-stage warriors. Liam had the system, and he had a weapon that could replicate itself.

Along with his magical artifact that Raze had made, he was powerful and had grown by leaps and bounds, but there was a reason why Raze hadn't made him a weapon, and it was the same reason he hadn't made one for Simyon and Safa as well.

"Where's Safa?" Raze asked.

"Ah, she's inside with Simyon," Liam answered.

Pushing through the glass doors, Raze could see Safa and Simyon, having a large number of books and maps on the floor. They two of them seemed to be talking about particular matters, but it all stopped as soon as they saw Raze enter. Discover hidden tales at My Virtual Library Empire

"You guys must be earning quite a bit of coin now that you are paying for a place like this," Raze commented.

"Raze!" Safa said with a joyous smile as she stood up, and Simyon did the same, quickly standing up and greeting him.

"Raze, we're not renting this place, this place is ours and yours. Most of what is in Flendon is yours," Simyon explained. "Rayna made it so that these types of places were created for you and everyone close to you. You're a faction leader now, so you can't just be staying in random inns all the time."

"Right." Safa nodded. "Besides that, you're quite noticeable with your white hair as well. So you need more secluded places that are off-limits to the regulars. Anyway, we heard that you had made some items for the Crimson Crane, I guess that's what you were busy with."

Just then, Raze noticed as Liam had entered through the back. That Simyon had the same look on his face, as if he was expecting something.

"I don't have any items for the three of you," Raze answered. "They weren't suitable for you, and all of you have great strength in the first place due to your own efforts. If you relied on those items, it would only slow down your progress.

"On top of that…if you had powerful items like those, then I'm sure in the upcoming fight, that you would be targeted."

There was silence from the three for a moment, as they were trying to process what it was that Raze had just said. The reason for not creating them items.

"Wait, are you saying you're not creating items for us because you're worried about us!" Liam claimed as he rushed to the front of Raze. "Are you saying you care about us?"

Liam was ready to tease Raze about this. He was a man who made it clear several times he didn't care about them and only his goal. The number of times he said this to them, Liam did have a thought that maybe he was just trying to convince himself in the matter.

"Hello!" A faint voice could be heard from outside.

"I'll go check it out," Liam answered. "Sounds like a damsel in distress which is my thing."

Rushing out, it didn't take long for Liam to return, and with him, he had brought an oddly dressed female woman, in a dress, one that Raze had visited not too long ago.

"Are you following me, Aurora?" Raze asked.

"Ah no, it's not that, I mean kinda," Aurora answered. Not knowing the truth about who he was, how was he meant to act. "It was….the people at the town hall, they said I should stay and observe you for a while."

If there was one saving grace in Aurora's mind, it was the fact that this Raze looked completely different to the countless images that were posted online, showing what the Dark Magus looked like.

So she could set some feelings aside, and she wanted to observe him for now.

Ignoring Aurora, since it didn't seem too important, Raze turned back to Safa. "I wanted to actually ask you something," Raze asked.

"Oh, it's the same for me," Safa answered.

It was then that Raze gestured softly, allowing for Safa to speak first.

"Actually, it's not just me, but we have all been speaking…when you get the Golden Globe and go to Alterian…we want to come with you!" Safa blurted out and quickly moved her head down, avoiding eye contact.
