Chapter 1123: Light And Dark
The Crimson Crane were ecstatic about the items that they had received from the Dark Magus. Finally, after a long time, Raze had gone through with his word. In exchange for them helping him out, protecting him, and being a part of his group, he would make powerful items personally for them.
Although it was now hard to say who was protecting who with everything that had happened. The Crimson Crane felt like they might have been wrapped up and gone with the momentum with all that had happened.
There was one thing that they wished to do the moment they had gotten their hands on the items, and that was to test them. They needed to know what they could do and how to use them if they were going to fight with them.
Before that, there was just one task that needed to be completed. Thankfully, as the Crimson Crane along with Alba were leaving the town hall, they had bumped into Anna.
"Oh, it's nice to meet you, Anna, again."
"Right, nice to meet you," Anna replied, still feeling a little down about everything.
The last time the two of them had spoken, Alba had made an attempt to get closer to Anna, but it ended in failure. From what she had heard, Fixteen had directed her to the Dark Faction. She had returned, though, and she wasn't alone; by her side, there was also Zon.
"Is Raze ready yet?" Zon asked. "The day of the funeral is near, and I imagine we won't have much time after that. I have been preparing."

"I think so," Alba answered. "Raze seems like he's only got a few more things to do, so I don't think it will be much longer. Then, all we need to do is convince the rest of the Demonic Faction to fight alongside us… easy, right?"
There was nervous laughter from her as well as the rest of the group. "Actually, before Raze left, he asked me to give you something, Anna."
Reaching out from her back, Alba threw it over, and Anna caught it by the handle, allowing it to unravel until it touched the floor.
"A whip… a whip…" Anna repeated as she was confused.
"Hey, you should know that's not just any whip, that's one made by the Dark Magus. I'm sure he had his thoughts why he thought it might be best to be used in your hands. Speaking off, the rest of us were thinking of heading to try out these new weapons of ours, would the two of you like to join us."
"It would be beneficial if we all knew the limits of our powers, right?" Alba smiled.
Underneath the smile, the other Crimson Crane members knew that there was a great passion. Alba was, after all, a competitive person, and if they were going to battle, even in a mock one, there was no way she was going to lose.
"Sure, I think it will be beneficial, as you say, to test the limits of our power," Zon answered as he looked at his own hand, and the pulsating yellow energy that was running through him.
"Do you mind if I join you guys as well?" Beatrix asked from behind, having overheard everything.
"Sure, why not, the more the merrier, right?" Alba said.
——
"Do you mind if I watch the enchantment?" Aurora asked.
Back at the villa-type residence by the lake, Raze had asked Safa if she could help him with a matter. That he would need her in enchanting his special Blazer, the one left to him by Sabrina. The reason for improving the Blazer was to allow it to be coated in a type of Dark Magic.
He was hoping that he could enhance the Blazer rather than enchant it with Dark Magic since it was already an enchanted item. However, what he wanted to do, it was just a theory in his head.
He wanted to try to keep all of the effects of the current enchantment while possibly adding new effects to it with the Dark Magic. There was still a high chance, though, that the item itself would completely change and end up being a cursed item.
The item in the first place was already high ranking, so it would require a large amount of magic. Raze had plenty of his Dark magic, and Dark magic in a way was a cheat for enhancements in the first place.
What he needed to keep the balance of things, though, was Light magic, and Safa was the only one.
'She's stuck in this situation, and she will learn the truth sooner or later. It will be more annoying to decline her request,' Raze thought. 'Besides, I might be able to ask her questions to do with her brother and those pills, and try to see where they got them from.'
After agreeing, everyone had ventured outside; with his Earth magic, Raze had created another platform, almost like a table. He took off his Blazer and just had Pagna cloth underneath.
The Blazer was laid out on the table. "What do I need to do?" Safa asked.
"We need to create a balance of our magic. Right now, I can tell, your magic core is that of a three-star mage, you have been working hard," Raze answered. "But that is not the limit of your power. With everything that's happened, the light magic, maybe that Divine Qi is supplementing it even further.
"The rules that others are struck by don't apply to you. With your god eyes, you should be able to see the balance, so as I input my Dark magic, I want you to balance it with your Light magic."
Safa understood, but she couldn't help but be nervous. Aurora was watching everything carefully, and as she did, she was amazed by his craftsmanship on the table. The magic circle that he was drawing at a fast rate.
The runes that he was adding, programming all the different rules to how the magic should be implemented. Some things she didn't understand, but what she did, it completely opened up her eyes.
"Ready?" Raze asked.
"Ready," Safa answered.
Raze grabbed her hand and placed it above the Blazer. As the two held it in place, the Dark magic swirled out of Raze's hand, and on the other side, Light Magic had swirled out in the air.
