DAUGHTERS

Chapter 10: Diamond

Helen's point of view.

Diamond, the most beautiful stone on earth, one of the rarest if not the costliest.

Father said we would be getting that from a group of deadly people, in a well-secured place.

Father would have so much faith in us now if we manage to pull this off. On this mission, we will be well-armed. Guns and working from home will be our strength.

We are walking into the valley of death, and no evil shall be feared by us.

We are going into the lion's den to take a cub for ourselves. We fear nothing and in us, we trust.

One of the major reasons I loved this mission is that all the family members were involved. The guns part is the most lovely for me.

Father has always forbidden us to take life on a mission, but in this one... We can shoot at will.

I believe because of that permission given to us, none of my sisters would get injured or shot, and we are absolutely leaving that curtilage with the diamonds.

The mission would comfortably be accomplished, I am sure of that, because it was well planned.

We were successful with the one we didn't even have time to plan.

This very diamond we wanted to obtain would be worth up to one hundred million dollars if my father was right, though only one third of it is ours.

Mother says a lot to us concerning this very mission.

She said she's the most excited human at the moment, because finally, the mission, vision, future, and ambition of her dear husband is finally starting, and this is the first of many.

Days before the event of the diamond exchange negotiations, Ace had already hacked into the cameras of the building.

She did it a couple of days back to not create any suspicious movement. After she was done with the hacking, she put it all back to rightful others.

Now that we need it, our dear mother only has to click a button, and when she clicks the button, she can see all that is happening inside and outside the mansion.

She informed us that she's on, she's going to be our third eye and will be watching from above.

Mother often reminded us to not make any mistakes. She told us father put all his life into it, and he wouldn't hesitate to deal with any of us that failed to carry out her own assigned job.

Mother's not excluded.

Even with the fact that father will not hesitate to deal with her either, she's still happy to be doing her own task.

With her words, you can easily tell she's a happy mother at the moment who will be assisting us.

The father and mother's jobs are communicating and watching, respectively. We have our own set of computers. They will be doing that at home from the computer set.

She made it known to us that she had spoken with father before this mission and that we needed a bigger house, a mini mansion, maybe. Because we would set it up to standard and not cramp ourselves like we did here.

She said father's response was that we would do that after pulling this mission off, and that is one of the big reasons we must not fail in this.

Father also discussed with us about getting the diamond that was worth huge lots of money from a well-guarded mansion.

He said the guys in charge are well-trained personnel. He told us that not just was the place well-guarded, but also, the diamonds were kept in a vault.

That just damned it. The vault is locked with six figures. We don't know exactly who has the unlock code among the people doing the negotiations, and if we fail to get the code, even as small as the vault is, the diamonds in it are wasted.

He informed us about the coded vault, and it was the major issue that would make the mission so hard, looking for who exactly had the code.

Thursday three forty-five in the afternoon is the exact time the negotiations will kick off.

They were well aware that the police could be listening, and righteous people like us could also make our way in. That meant they were ready to have a fight.

The day came, an hour prior to that time, we were already there waiting.

The daughters were already watching their moves secretly. And each one involved in the negotiations was well monitored by us.

Ace's point of view.

After one hour of waiting. Our visitors started coming in one after the other, just minutes apart.

Each one of them had been given a specific time to arrive, and when I went through the data on the system, it was the exact time they arrived.

I learned all the guests were given a specific time when I got the data on the system at the security office built right behind the gate of the mansion.

The security woman dispatched to that post was knocked out. She was about thirty-seven to forty years old. Her job was to verify the vehicles and personnel that came through the gate.

The entrance to the mansion had enough blockages to not allow unwanted vehicles to enter only if the lever was pulled by her after each confirmation.

I got into that post stylishly controlling a dog I was walking in to the office, and pretending it was the dog that was misbehaving, being stubborn and directing me there.

Both the dog and I gained access to the curtilage of the mansion and straight into the post.

The woman ordered me to take the dog, and we should both vacate the curtilage immediately.

I acted, shakingly begging for her forgiveness. I told her to not be mad at us for trespassing. I pushed the dog under her table intentionally, and did as if it was a mistake.

She pulled out a handgun for her waist and shot me without second warning. I guess she realized that I was pretending, or it was the security protocol she was given she was acting in accordance with.

When she shot me, I was lucky for two things. The first was, I was wearing a bullet-proof vest. And the second was the handgun she shot me with had a silencer.

It could have alerted other security members to the post.

The shot got me a bit moved backward, and I intentionally fell to the ground, but she thought I would fall to the ground, dead.

Her thought was that I was an ordinary untrained person.

She had already put her gun back in place, and was on me to drag me to some spot I would not be exposed to the guests. She tried to shoot the dog too, but the dog ran away.

I allowed her to move close to me before I jumped on her.

I made her unconscious by tapping her neck, and I quickly changed into her outfit.

Now, I am in charge of who comes in and goes out.

One of the security members near the post must have seen me when I came in, and he would have been suspected why I hadn't got out of the post.

He took four men with him, all holding an automated rifle, and they started making their way to the post. When they moved close.

"Sergeant, are you alright there?"

He asked the woman I had knocked out and tied.
