Chapter 372: Never challenge Rogue. II
She took a step forward, her movements fluid and graceful, yet absolutely lethal. She grabbed the taller man's arm, still trying to recover, and twisted it with such speed and precision that he screamed in pain before falling to the ground, completely immobilized.
The taller man, his face twisted in pain and rage, finally got to his feet, still staggering. The hatred in his eyes was palpable. He could barely breathe because of the blow to his stomach, but his fury seemed to fuel him. Once he managed to stand, he spat on the ground and, with tremendous effort, shouted with contempt:
"You monster, you bitch! You're going to pay for this!"
He then tried to throw an uncontrolled punch in her direction, his eyes closed in anger, with no calculation or strategy left.
Rogue didn't move, her expression impassive. She watched him coldly, as if he were just another prey in front of her. She gave a sadistic smile, her calmness contrasting with the violence of the situation. She wouldn't waste any more time on him.
With a nearly imperceptible motion, she extended her right hand, and a wave of energy coursed through her body. Her nails grew, extending and transforming into sharp, lethal cheetah claws, their silver sheen reflecting the faint light of the night. Her body, once again, became a machine of destruction.
The man lunged forward with another clumsy punch, unaware that his death was certain.
With deadly agility, Rogue moved like lightning. She easily dodged to the side, and in a single motion, used her cheetah claws to slice through the man's neck with lethal precision. The sound of the cut was sharp and clear, and the man's head fell to the ground with a dull thud, his body collapsing immediately afterward, lifeless.
Blood gushed from his neck, and the rest of his body continued to fall slowly until it lay motionless on the ground.
Rogue remained there, her breathing calm, as if nothing had happened. Her cold gaze swept over the man's body before turning to the second one, still lying on the ground, dazed. She looked at him with a chilling smile and a gaze that would make anyone tremble with fear.
"Now, what will your choice be?" Rogue asked, her voice a threatening whisper. "Will you keep this nonsense going, or will you let me pass?"
The second man, seeing his ally's death, was completely terrified. He knew he had no chance against her. With a trembling movement, he raised his hands, giving up any attempt to resist.
"I... I... don't want to fight anymore. You can go, you can do whatever you want!" He was practically begging.
Rogue didn't say another word. With a disinterested look, she simply walked toward the administration door, completely ignoring the man trembling at her feet. She wasn't there to talk, and she wouldn't waste any more time on someone so insignificant. She knew there was a bigger task waiting for her.
The door to the administration opened in front of her, and she entered without hesitation, knowing that nothing would stop her from confronting the true master of the Eclipse Guild. The weight of her mission was clear in her eyes, and she would not allow herself to fail.
Rogue entered the room of the master of the Eclipse Guild with the same unshakable confidence with which she had arrived at the gate. The room was silent, except for the soft sound of the breeze coming through the open windows. When she entered, she saw an elegant figure sitting at the desk, legs crossed, with a tranquil expression. The woman before her, Sara Fortune, seemed completely in control, which only fueled the disdain Rogue felt for her.
Sara was a woman of striking presence, with dark hair and an impeccable appearance. Her posture was refined, and her deep green eyes were fixed on her with a calm defiance. She didn't seem the least bit bothered by Rogue's arrival. On the contrary, she seemed to have been expecting it.
"So, you finally showed up," Sara said, her voice soft and laced with sarcasm, as if she had been waiting for the visit, but without moving an inch to show any interest.
Rogue looked at her with a smile that seemed more like a threat than a greeting. "Sara Fortune," she said, her tone dripping with disdain, "Stealing has become quite the thing for you, huh?"
Sara raised an eyebrow, her expression growing more intrigued. She kept her legs crossed, clearly showing no need to stand or prepare for a confrontation. "Ah, so that's what you're here to talk about. Your Guild seems quite concerned with our little 'scraps,' huh? I'm flattered."
Rogue stepped closer, her eyes never leaving Sara's, watching every subtle movement of the Eclipse Guild master. "Concerned? No. But you have no idea what you're starting, Sara. The actions of your Guild have consequences, and this stealing clients from those you shouldn't... well, you won't get away with it."
Sara chuckled softly, a laugh that held no joy, only mockery. She reclined in her chair, as if discussing some trivial matter. "Get away with it? Do you really think I'm foolish, Rogue? The Eclipse Guild is bigger than you think, and we're not afraid of your empty threats."
Rogue needed no more words. She already knew what had to be done, and her patience was running thin. Sara's provocation, the attempt to belittle her authority, only fed the flames of her anger. Rogue was never one for pointless conversations. She was direct, lethal, and now she was ready to make her point loud and clear once and for all.
With a swift motion, her golden eyes gleamed with fierce intensity. She moved with the speed of a predator, without hesitation. Sara, who had been maintaining a calm posture up until then, didn't even have time to react.
In one fluid motion, Rogue extended her hands, transforming her fingers into sharp claws, as though the very nature of her lineage had joined forces with her fury. She gave no chance for defense, nor for explanations. With a quick strike, the blade of her claws sliced through Sara's neck mercilessly.
Sara's head fell softly, separating from her body, still holding the same arrogant expression she had maintained until the very last second. The sound of the body hitting the ground was muffled by the heavy air in the room, and the only sound that remained was the soft drip of blood.
Rogue gazed at Sara's head for a moment, her golden eyes glowing with a predatory intensity. With a simple movement, she grabbed the head by the hair, lifting it with a tremendous strength. She walked toward the door of the room, the head of Sara dangling from her hand as a warning. Every step she took resonated like a message.
The Eclipse Guild, once believing itself immune to her vengeance, was now under the control of Rogue and the Osiris Guild. As she crossed the threshold of the door and stepped out of the room, she looked at the guards and members of the Eclipse Guild, who stared at her in terror.
"From now on, the Eclipse Guild is part of the Osiris Guild," Rogue announced, her voice firm and filled with authority. "Anyone who tries to steal from me will end up like this bitch."
She waited for no reactions, no challenges. She simply turned and walked toward the gate, her silhouette framed by the light coming through the tall windows. She knew her message was clear, and from that moment on, no one would dare challenge the Osiris Guild, not even with a mere sigh.
With Sara's head in her claws, Rogue exited, leaving the Eclipse Guild in ruins, a new territory claimed.
