Devil's Downfall

Chapter 109: Class.

William grasped his whip with both hands, his eyes ready for anything. Around him stand representatives of each class.

"Hello and welcome." One of the two head teachers began to speak. His name is Marcis, a shorter man with a bald head and a finely groomed mustache. "I'm sorry but the first head teacher couldn't make it, he is currently on a hunt. Now, you all have been chosen as the best of your classes. If there is any objection to this, please say them now." There was silence in the room. "Okay. I will now call your classes name, and you shall come up to announce yourself. Now, Class year 3."

A Lanky man took the stage, his frame no different than a stick.

"Class year 3, Frederick Hinz, I'm a mage at the rank of commander low."

"So Fredrick, good job. Frederick here is the peek example of where we expect you to be by the time you graduate. Now have you awakened?"

"No I have not."

"You may take a seat. Next class year 2 A…." It went on like this till they

called William. Class year 1 B."

William walked up onto the stage.

"Class year 1 B, I'm William Jade, Currently my rank is soldier 3, and I have awakened."

"Excellent, now that that's everyone, you may all leave."

All the teachers that were previously observing, met to discuss something. But William couldn't care less. He was out of the room before they knew it.

****

A Crimson haired man sniffed the air, his eyes twitched.

"Gather the men, It's time." He bellowed

The one eyed man looked at the room in appeasement.

"Took long enough." He snickered

"Leave the scouting to me." A voice came in, it was raspy and unfinished.

"Shut up Riken, for an undead you talk too much." The one eyed man responded.

The Boss heard this and barely held in his anger.

"Riken, take Qortez as well as Nikolai. We will meet at the destination in twenty five hours. Report to Cain if something comes up."

"Me, I don't want to deal with these rotting bastards." The one eyed man whose name is Cane shouted.

"All of you leave now! I need time to prepare." The boss said well enraged.

Everyone left the room afraid of causing more trouble. Boss got up, his legs felt like jello from sitting for years. He dusted off his hair that became a mess. Within the cave's walls lies a hidden chest. Boss opened it to find a damaged white suit, one from a nice brand, in its prime would have sold for thousands. He reminiscibly picked it up, and slid it on, mending the holes with his magic. Even the suit is covered in grime, but that seemed not to bug him as a smile creased his face. And then a frown emerged as he touched a button in the shape of a fox. Boss touched his pockets and retrieved a knife, so simple it looked fake, its blade has long since been eaten away by rust. Boss began to whistle as he stashed it back in his pocket. For a second he thought about grabbing the blue longsword sitting in the box, reluctantly he picked it up placing it at his waist. Boss reached down and grabbed the last object in the box, a jade pendant. He thought for a second about stopping and calling it off, but he's gone too far to turn back now.

From the entrance ventured in a gorgeous woman wearing gold and silver.

"Boss?" She hesitated.

"I Said get out." He was across the room In an instant slapping the girl.

She fell to the floor unconscious.

Good, Boss thought to himself, there needs to be discipline. He wanted to be feared, no he needed it, maybe then it will make him believe more in his actions. He stepped over her like one steps over roadkill. His pace was strong, pushing him forward at an inhuman rate. Those of his group speedily cleared the way for him. Many have never even seen him before, being newly recruited by older members, others have been with him for many years loyally staying by his side. There were some undead here and there, but the majority were weaker humans. Vadlove met him at the entrance beside him are two siren rank monsters Krave and Victor.

Krave was a High werewolf, beings beyond lesser werewolves, who in themselves are corrupted humans. High werewolves are seen as royalty among the sirens. Victor is a vampire Lord. Vampire Lords may be seen as far lesser than vampire kings, but their power is not to be questioned. Both of these monsters have some of the highest regeneration.

"Boss, I'm happy to see your awake." Vadlove said.

Boss glared at the vampire causing him to bow.

"I am most honored to make your acquaintance powerful one. My name is Victor, son of the great vampire king Bucephalus."

The werewolf bowed on one knee. "I'm most pleased to see you again my lord." The werewolf said with glee.

Vadlove, who is a well spoken man with dark circles under his eyes and a scrappy beard, scratched the back of his neck.

"Victor is a good guy, he believes in our cause."

Boss shrugged, and walked past them, before stopping.

"Vadlove send word. We could use that man at this time."

"Yes boss." Vadlove urgently replied, he never liked talking to that man.
