Chapter 600: Teaching the Twin Girls a Lesson
Originally, Kaguya didn't want to concern herself with all these messy affairs, but Rize Kamishiro's information piqued her interest, especially the news that Akihiro Kanou had created some kind of ghoul experiment. Kaguya couldn't ignore it; the thought of ghouls that were stronger, more terrifying, and harder to kill was not something she could just sit back and watch unfold.
Moreover, this deviated significantly from the mission given to her by the system. One goal was to achieve coexistence and mutual understanding between humans and ghouls, but Kanou's approach was the complete opposite—he was using ghouls as mere experimental subjects to create new monsters. This kind of reckless behavior would undoubtedly plunge the world into chaos.
Kaguya even suspected that one of the reasons Furuta took down the Washuu family, the former ruling power of the CCG, was because they were searching for a method to completely eliminate ghouls. If that were the case, then the mastermind behind all of this would stop at nothing to achieve their goals, and it seemed that things were about to escalate even further.
This meant that Kaguya couldn't stay on the sidelines anymore, even if she wanted to.
But first, she needed to deal with the two little troublemakers at home. They couldn't just keep cooping themselves up inside all day. More importantly, they were always looking for ways to pester her or, worse, staring at her with predatory green eyes like wolves eyeing their prey.
If it were other beauties acting like this, Kaguya might be thrilled. However, when getting close to them meant the sudden risk of a bite to the neck—turning a romantic moment into a horror scene—it was enough to give anyone a heart attack.
Take now, for example. The moment Kaguya opened the door, two shadows leapt out from the side like lightning—it was Kurona and Nashiro Yasuhisa.
They moved with incredible speed, reaching Kaguya in the blink of an eye. Their delicate faces showed victorious smiles; ever since drinking Kaguya's blood, their strength had skyrocketed. If they were only B or A-rank before, now they were at least approaching SS-rank—an astronomical improvement.
The two of them were no longer the pushovers they once were.
However, just as they were about to succeed, Kaguya's lips curled into a smirk. She lifted her head abruptly, revealing a mocking smile. "You little brats think you can rebel against me?"
Kurona and Nashiro's expressions changed drastically—they hadn't expected to be discovered so easily.
But now that they had already launched their attack, there was no turning back.
Kurona and Nashiro accelerated, their fingers extending into sharp claws that sliced through the air with a sharp whistle, aiming to strike Kaguya fiercely.
Yet, just as they were about to make contact, Kaguya's hand shot out like lightning, effortlessly grabbing Nashiro's wrist.
"Eh?"
Before Nashiro could react, a tremendous force came from Kaguya's grip. Her body lifted off the ground involuntarily, and with a flick of Kaguya's arm, she was sent flying through the air like a rag doll. With a heavy thump, she landed on the couch.
Despite the couch being soft, the impact was still strong enough to leave her gasping for breath, and worse—her delicate nose had collided with the wooden armrest. She clutched her nose, eyes welling up with tears from the pain, making anyone who saw it wince.
Seeing this, Kurona panicked. "Sister!"
"Forget about others; worry about yourself first."
Kaguya's grin widened mischievously as she grabbed Kurona by the ankle. With a sudden pull, Kurona lost her balance and fell headfirst into Kaguya's embrace, practically throwing herself into her arms.
Not only that, but Kaguya quickly twisted her arm behind her back, locking her in place. At the same time, her other hand, as swift as a snake, slid under Kurona's clothes and grabbed her chest.
"Let me go! Let me go!" Kurona's face turned crimson as she struggled fiercely.
"Why should I let you go?" Kaguya snorted, squeezing playfully. "Trying to ambush me while I'm out, huh? Looks like I need to teach you a lesson."
"You bastard, let me go!" Kurona fought harder, gritting her teeth. A pair of scarlet wings—her kagune—suddenly spread out behind her like a butterfly's, but before they could fully extend, Kaguya effortlessly crushed them with a single squeeze.
"What?!" Kurona's heart skipped a beat. She had never imagined that her kagune, which had grown so much stronger, would be crushed so easily. Just how powerful was Kaguya? Fear crept into her heart—perhaps she had overestimated herself.
Had she really not improved enough to match Kaguya?
As Kurona's thoughts spiraled into regret, Kaguya flipped her body over and placed her across her knee. Her voice turned cold as she said, "Looks like someone needs a proper lesson for disobeying my orders."
A sudden sense of foreboding gripped Kurona Yasuhisa's heart, and she struggled desperately.
In an instant, she felt a chill down below. It was only then that she realized her pants had been pulled down. Kurona's delicate face flushed crimson, and she thrashed about violently.
"You bastard! Idiot! Pervert! Let me go!"
"This is your punishment," Kaguya said expressionlessly. With a swift motion, her palm landed heavily on Kurona's crescent-shaped rear.
Slap! Slap!
"This is what you get for not listening."
Slap! Slap!
"Ahhh!"
"You dare do this to me?! You're dead, you hear me?!"
"Still threatening me? Let's see if I don't teach you a proper lesson."
Slap! Slap!
"I'm going to kill you!"
"Kill me? With your intelligence? You'd need at least a hundred years to succeed. Ouch! You brat, you dare bite me? See if I don't beat you senseless."
Slap! Slap!
Kaguya's palm rained down like a storm, leaving behind crimson marks on Kurona's backside.
Suddenly, Nashiro Yasuhisa, who had been thrown onto the couch earlier, quietly emerged from behind Kaguya. Her scarlet Ukaku kagune had fully unfurled, aimed straight at Kaguya's neck.
But the tragic sight of her sister made Nashiro swallow nervously, sweat forming in her palms, her heart pounding anxiously.
What if she got caught?
Would she also be subjected to the same humiliation? Getting spanked and stripped—it was just too embarrassing!
But seeing her sister's miserable state, she couldn't just stand idly by. After all, they were siblings.
Finally, she clenched her teeth and steeled her resolve. She had to rescue her sister from this demon's clutches.
Just as she was about to launch her sneak attack, Kaguya suddenly turned her head unexpectedly and, with a deadpan expression, asked, "What? You want to be punished too?"
"Ahhh!"
Nashiro's face paled with fright. She turned on her heels and bolted towards the bedroom, slamming the door shut with a loud bang.
Kaguya turned back, flashing a charming smile at Kurona. "Looks like your sister isn't planning to save you."
...
...
Kurona and Nashiro, the beautiful twin sisters, sat side by side on the sofa, looking a little uneasy. Their faces were slightly flushed, and they fidgeted nervously.
"You traitor," Kurona shot a glance at her sister, cursing inwardly. When things got dangerous earlier, Nashiro had turned tail and ran—what a useless little traitor. Despite always letting her have the best food, it turned out she couldn't be relied upon at all.
Sensing her sister's resentment, Nashiro, feeling guilty, avoided eye contact. She timidly reached out her small hand to hold Kurona's in a gesture of comfort, which made Kurona feel both amused and helpless.
"Alright, explain yourselves," Kaguya said, sitting across from them with a steaming cup of latte in hand.
"We had no choice! You left us with nothing! Were we supposed to starve?" Kurona retorted confidently.
"If I remember correctly," Kaguya put her coffee cup down on the table and said, "I left you two with money before I left. And it wasn't a small amount, if I recall."
"That wasn't nearly enough," Kurona huffed, turning her head away. "It was just a tiny bit! You're so stingy; people like you get drowned in pig cages, you know."
"Hey, hey, do you even know what 'drowned in pig cages' means?" Kaguya's eyebrow twitched.
"Of course, it means someone who's always sneaking around and messing around," Kurona said with an all-knowing look.
Well, if that's how she put it, it wasn't entirely wrong. The problem was—when had Kaguya ever been out 'messing around'? Though thinking back to last night and the rather... eventful morning, she suddenly felt a little guilty.
"Let's not stray from the topic," Kaguya sighed, a black cloud forming above her head. "Even with that money, it should have been more than enough for ten people, let alone just the two of you."
"How could it be enough?" Kurona crossed her arms and huffed. "You should know by now—we're ghouls! Ghouls have to eat a lot! How can you expect us to survive on human portions? You're just leading us on and abandoning us when it gets tough!"
"Leading you on and abandoning you? What nonsense is this? I'm not your mom," Kaguya said, rolling her eyes.
At that moment, Nashiro shrank back slightly, subtly shifting her body as if trying to hide something behind her. Her expression turned somewhat awkward.
"What's that?" Kaguya narrowed her eyes, pointing at the spot Nashiro was trying to conceal.
"Ah! N-nothing! There's nothing there!" Nashiro frantically waved her hands, trying to play it cool, but her guilty expression betrayed her immediately.
Kaguya stood up and walked towards her suspiciously. Nashiro jumped up in a panic, trying to block her way, and even Kurona became flustered. However, against Kaguya's strength, their arms and legs were no match. With a swift motion, Kaguya reached behind them and pulled out a bunch of small bottles and jars.
"Wait, wait!"
"What are these?"
Kaguya was genuinely curious about what the two had been hiding so carefully. The small bottles had labels with numbers on them, similar to price tags on store shelves. The contents inside were a clear red liquid that shimmered under the light, giving off a mesmerizing, dream-like glow.
But when Kaguya realized what it actually was, her face darkened instantly, and her eyelid twitched violently.
This... wasn't this her blood?
Kaguya slowly turned to them, holding up the bottle to their faces with an icy expression. "I think... you two owe me a very good explanation."
"This... we...," Nashiro stammered, her face flushed with embarrassment. Even Kurona, who was usually the more outspoken of the two, now looked awkward and stood there helplessly, forcing a nervous smile.
"It seems I've been too kind to you two all this time," Kaguya narrowed her eyes, a "gentle" smile appearing on her face.
"Ahhh!"
A while later.
The twin sisters knelt on the floor, clutching their sore backsides, their faces burning red. Even the usually defiant Kurona had her head lowered in shame, though inwardly she was cursing Kaguya to the heavens. That devil had once again spanked them, and now their butts were on fire—probably swollen too.
Meanwhile, Nashiro, realizing that she had caused all this trouble, was so ashamed that she remained silent, unable to say a word.
"Speak up. What were you planning to do with this?" Kaguya, sitting leisurely on the sofa, snorted as she gestured toward the bottles of blood.
She had almost been drained dry by these two troublemakers a few times before, thinking it was simply their large appetites. But now it was clear—they had been secretly storing her blood behind her back.
Seeing the twins remain silent, Kaguya added coldly, "Not talking? Looks like the punishment wasn't enough. Perhaps I should strip you both and hang you up for a good spanking. What do you think?"
"You—you can't do that!" Nashiro panicked upon hearing this and blurted out.
"As I always say, honesty brings leniency, resistance brings severity," Kaguya crossed her arms and elegantly crossed her legs, looking down at them with a smirk. "If you don't want things to get worse, I'd suggest you start talking now. Don't blame me for not warning you."
"Then... can you promise that if we tell you, you won't punish us?" Kurona raised her head cautiously and asked.
"Nope," Kaguya rejected flatly without hesitation.
"Why not?!" Nashiro protested anxiously. "How can you be so unreasonable?!"
"Why can't I?" Kaguya leaned back casually. "I've taken you in out of kindness, and yet you still went behind my back with this little scheme. Do you really think you can just enjoy my hospitality without any consequences?"
Kurona bit her lip, then lifted her head and said, "It was my idea. I did everything. It has nothing to do with Shirou. If you need to punish someone, punish me. Just don't hurt her."
"Sister..." Nashiro's eyes welled up with tears, her voice trembling. "It's all my fault. If I hadn't been so careless, we wouldn't have gotten caught. If there's punishment, it should be both of us."
"No," Kurona said firmly. "If punishment is necessary, it should be me alone."
"Sister!" Nashiro, tears streaming down her face, threw herself into Kurona's arms.
The two of them clung to each other, faces full of sorrow.
...Why does this feel like some kind of tragic farewell scene?
And, Kaguya thought as her eyelid twitched, aren't you two the ones at fault? Why are you acting like I'm the villain here?
