Chapter 5: Chapter Five: A Talent Unveiled
For the past three days, Liang Chen had completely immersed himself in his training, pushing his analytical ability to its absolute limit. While the other children were still struggling to grasp the basics, he had already mastered them as if they had been a part of him since birth.
It was astonishing. Every movement, every combat stance, every fundamental technique was instantly analyzed in his mind at lightning speed. Punches, kicks, dodges, even the perfect balance of the body during attack and defense—everything became as clear as daylight.
"In just three days, I've mastered all the basic martial arts!" he muttered to himself as he watched the other children struggle. He knew this result was impossible for an ordinary person. Even geniuses in this world needed months, yet all it took him was a single glance at a technique for it to be fully analyzed.
Now, he had to make a choice—should he hide his ability or reveal a fraction of what he had learned to carve his path to the top? After some thought, he decided to seize the opportunity to become the first to enter the elite class.
On the fourth day, as Instructor Fang observed the children, Liang Chen suddenly stepped into the center of the training ground and performed all the basic martial arts techniques before everyone. Each movement was smooth and precise, as if executed by a seasoned martial artist.
Instructor Fang fell silent, staring at him with a hint of astonishment. "This child... is a genius!" he murmured under his breath, then smiled in satisfaction and said, "Amazing! I've never seen anyone grasp these techniques so quickly. From now on, you will be in the elite class!"
The other children gawked in shock—some with envy, others with admiration—but Liang Chen paid them no mind. He had secured the opportunity he wanted.
As Liang Chen entered the new training hall, he found himself alone. In the center of the room stood a new instructor—a tall man with sharp eyes, a black sword at his side engraved with demonic patterns.
The instructor spoke in a cold voice, "The Blood Demon Sword Technique requires at least three months of training before you can begin to grasp it."
But Liang Chen was no ordinary person...
The instructor demonstrated the first few moves slowly, and Liang Chen focused his eyes on every detail. At that moment, the familiar blue screen appeared before him:
"Analyzing Blood Demon Sword Technique – Analysis Progress: 20%"
Every move the instructor performed increased the percentage… 35%… 50%… 78%… until it neared 99% and finally reached 100%!
Over the next three months, Liang Chen not only mastered the sword technique but also learned an advanced movement technique called "Blood Steps," which allowed him to dodge with incredible speed and increase his flexibility in battle.
A strange exhilaration filled him—it was as if he had been born to wield this talent. "My ability in this world… it's a divine gift in every sense!"
But he decided to keep it a secret. If it were discovered that he could master techniques just by seeing them once, he might become a target for many powerful sects.
One day, Liang Chen and ten other children gathered in the training hall as Instructor Fang stood before them and said:
"It's time to understand the power system of this world. Continuing without knowing your goal is like trying to grasp water with bare hands."
He raised his hand and pointed at them one by one.
"There are five fundamental stages of power:"
1. Beginner Martial Artist – Fighters at this stage start grasping the fundamentals of combat. They can shatter small rocks with a punch and cut down trees with a strike.
2. Skilled Martial Artist – They gain better control over their inner energy, allowing them to walk on water and leap great distances. They can also infuse their weapons with internal power.
3. Martial Arts Master – A higher-tier warrior with complete control over their inner energy, capable of easily crushing dozens of skilled martial artists.
4. Grand Martial Arts Master – This is the level of elders in great sects. It is said that they are like monsters in human form, capable of destroying mountains.
5. Martial Arts Ancestor – The absolute peak. Only a few have reached this stage, making them the strongest beings in this world.
Liang Chen saw the reverence in Instructor Fang's eyes as he spoke about this final stage and realized that this level of power was the ultimate goal for any fighter.
Mastery Levels of Martial Techniques
The instructor continued, "As for martial techniques, they are categorized into three levels:"
1. Beginner Level – At this stage, the fighter has fully learned the technique, allowing them to use it flawlessly.
2. Skilled Level – In this phase, the fighter deepens their understanding of the technique, allowing them to unleash power at twice their normal strength when using it.
3. Perfection Level – Here, the fighter reaches the peak of mastery over the technique, enabling them to develop or derive new martial arts from it, setting them apart from ordinary warriors.
Liang Chen listened intently, thinking of only one thing—just how far could he go with his divine talent?
